"The Mystery of Hot Dog Lake!" is the first segment of the seventy-fifth episode of Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures. It premiered on October 3, 2020 alongside "Phantom Wing", and is the first segment of the twenty-fourth episode in the third season.
Plot[]
Pete thinks he sees a legendary creature known as the 'Scronchasaur' in Hot Dog Hills Lake, so Mr. Bigby puts up a prize for the first person to snap its picture.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins with Goofy and Pete fishing in Hot Dog Lake. Goofy goes to his Roadster to get some more snacks when Pete accidentally catches a humongous mysterious creature with his fishing rod. Cut to Hot Dog Diner, where Pete is trying to explain to the gang and Mr. Bigby to giant creature he saw, but he is ridiculed for making it up by everyone... except for Alistair Coop De Ville, who corroborates Pete's story with a newspaper. De Ville explains that the creature is called a Scronchasaur, and she shows up in Hot Dog Lakes every 100 years or so due to her shyness. Mr. Bigby declares a contest that whoever snaps a picture of the Scronchasaur first and shows it to him by sundown will receive a prize. De Ville attempts to explain that no prize will be able to measure up to the beauty of the Scronchasaur, but everyone is too excited about the prize to listen. De Ville has Goofy and Pete come with him while everyone else takes off on their own.
The scene cuts to Hot Dog Lake, where the contestants are all in submarines trying to locate the Scronchasaur, except for Chip and Dale, who are trying to call the Scronchasaur up to the surface. Donald, who is extremely excited about winning the prize, begins driving his submarine radically to look for the creature while De Ville, Pete, and Goofy calmly look around in his submarine. The two teams eventually run into each other, and, upset that what they have found turned out not to be the Scronchasaur, begin angrily honking at each other. The loud noise the honking makes causes some sea rocks to fall in their direction. The Scronchasaur rescues them and brings them to the surface, with Mickey's team following behind. Everyone begins scrambling for their devices to take a picture of the Scronchasaur when De Ville reminds them that it is the beauty of just seeing the creature that makes it worth a day. Donald apologizes for splashing everyone and Pete takes a large selfie with everyone, including the Scronchasaur and Mr. Bigby, who arrives in a hot air balloon. Daisy asks Mr. Bigby what the prize was gonna be, and the episode ends with all of them having a picnic by Hot Dog Lake.
