Goofy gets a chance to compete against a famous movie star hero named Morty McCool, but discovers that Morty is more of a selfish lout than a hero.
Plot[]
Mickey and the gang are watching an action episode featuring Morty McCool, with Goofy taking particular interest to how cool he is while Donald scoffs at how he's just an actor. Suddenly, Mr. Bigby makes an announcement saying he is hosting a daredevil race where the winner will get their picture on motor oil bottles. Goofy gets excited and decides to participate.
Goofy arrives to the race, where the other contestants are El Horace Horsecollar, Powerhouse Pete, High-Speed Hilda, and Morty McCool. Goofy wishes for Morty's autograph, but he simply puts gum on his notebook. Minnie points out how mean Morty acted, but Goofy dismisses it since he thinks Morty has a lot on his mind.
The race is officially underway, and Pete finds himself stuck on a cliff while Horace and Hilda find themselves stuck in a tree. They ask Morty McCool for help, but he makes fun at their expense. Goofy helps them out and the three racers thank him. Morty launches himself towards the finish line but starts falling when his phone flies into the engine. Goofy rescues him but Morty simply finishes the race, leaving Goofy to save himself. Morty wins the race and Daisy comments on how ungrateful Morty was. Goofy then realizes that Morty may be cool, but is really not a nice guy. Mr. Bigby arrives and agrees with Goofy, declaring him to be the true winner of the race and his face will be on the motor oil bottle, much to Morty's chagrin.
