When Lazlo runs away because he is being mean to him, Commander Heist asks the Happy Helpers to teach him how to be nice.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins with Commander Heist driving to the Hot Dog Hills Hall of Fame to steal Mickey's trophies. Lazlo is eating snacks while Heist is explaining his plan, so Heist takes the snacks away from Lazlo, annoying the feline. Heist then eats some chips and refuses to share with Lazlo, also upsetting him. The final straw breaks when Lazlo spots snacks in a nearby pet shop but Heist refuses to stop to buy some. Having had it, Lazlo escapes through the window and hides behind a fire hydrant. Heist initially dismisses this fact but soon finds himself lonely. The scene cuts to the Happy Helpers building, where Minnie receives a call from Heist asking for help getting Lazlo back. Daisy and Cuckoo-Loca tell Minnie to refuse helping but she convinces them that they are Happy Helpers and helping people is their responsibility before asking Heist why he thinks Lazlo ran away. Heist realizes that he was mean to Lazlo and asks them to teach him how to be nicer, to which the Happy Helpers agree to.
The Happy Helpers arrive in the park, where they meet a disguised Commander Heist pretending to read a newspaper. Cuckoo-Loca takes off to find Lazlo while Minnie and Daisy begin teaching Heist how to be nicer. Lesson one is saying nice things to people. Minnie tells Heist to say something nice to a construction worker walking nearby, and he does initially before trying to steal the worker's lunchbox.
Meanwhile, in the pet shop, Lazlo tries to steal some of the cat treats but a worker puts Lazlo in a cage with the other cats while Cuckoo-Loca struggles to find him. Minnie and Daisy take Heist to a diner for lesson two: sharing. Goofy, Mickey, Chip, and Dale arrive for a snack. The boys see Heist and immediately begin suspecting him before the commander brushes them off. Minnie tells Heist to share his food with the boys; Heist is initially hesitant, but immediately begins giving them all their food when he remembers Lazlo. Heist's moustache accidentally falls off and the chipmunks recognize him before Minnie and Daisy take him away.
Lazlo escapes from his cage and releases the other cats to distract the worker so he can get the cat treats. Cuckoo-Loca spots this and calls Minnie and Daisy when they begin their third lesson, which is helping others by having Heist help Clarabelle load pastries on her truck. Heist immediately drives the Happy Helpers to the pet shop and reconciles with Lazlo, apologizing for his extremely rude behavior as he activates his jetpack and takes off with his pet cat in tow. The episode ends with the worker making the Happy Helpers pay for the mess that Lazlo made.
