James Augustine Walsh (1906-1991) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Arizona

He was nominated by President Harry Truman on July 3, 1952 to replace Howard Speakman. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 5th, and received commission on July 7th. From 1961 to 1972, he was the chief judge. On July 9, 1976, he assumed senior status and served in this capacity until his death on May 2, 1991.[1] Walsh was succeeded in this position by Mary Richey.
