Ben Herbert Rice, Jr. (1889-1964) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Rice was nominated to the Western District of Texas by President Harry Truman on September 10, 1945, to a seat vacated by Walter Keeling; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 19, 1945, and received commission on September 28, 1945. From 1948-1962, he served as the chief judge. He served the Western District of Texas until his death on March 14, 1964.[1] Rice was succeeded in this position by Dorwin Suttle.
