George William Whitehurst (1891-1974) was a federal judge on the Northern and Southern Districts of Florida.

Whitehurst was nominated simultaneously to both courts by President Harry Truman on January 30, 1950, to a new seat created by 63 Stat. 493; he was confirmed by the Senate on February 21, 1950, and received his commission on February 23rd. He served as chief judge of the Southern District from 1959 until he assumed senior status on June 30, 1961.[1] He served both courts in this capacity until his death on January 13, 1974.
