This film comes out seven years after Avengers: Endgame, which was the same number of years between the first Avengers film and Avengers: Endgame.
This will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film to be the fifth installment in its series.
This marks the first time since Avengers: Endgame where Robert Downey Jr. properly appears (not counting Spider-Man: Far From Home and all other films that uses archival footage of himself as Iron Man). But for the second time, he will be playing Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man after 16 years.
The original villain of the two parter was the Council of Kangs. This was changed due to Jonathan Majors' criminal charges and subsequent conviction.
