X-Men is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is an installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will be produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Production

On September 29, 2023, Deadline reported that Marvel Studios had officially begun development on an X-Men film, with the studio actively looking for writers, after the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike was resolved. Insiders add there is no rush to fill the job since the film hasn't been dated yet, and it's more than likely that writer decision will be made at the top of 2024.

On May 21, 2024, Deadline reported that Michael Lesslie had been hired to write the screenplay.
