Clea is a Marvel Comics character who appears in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, played by Charlize Theron. She is a sorceress with vast amount of magical power.

Clea was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Clea makes her live action debut at the end of the film. She travels to Earth, where she meets Doctor Strange in New York City, confronting him about his recent events with the multiverse, learning he caused an incursion and decides to help him fix it. Clea uses her magic to open a portal to the dark dimension, asking Strange if he is afraid to enter her home. As Strange dons his Cloak of Levitation and opens his third eye, he and Clea walk through to her world.

Trivia

• Clea is Doctor Strange's prime love interest in the comics. This was changed to Christine Palmer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe because Kevin Feige wanted a more "grounded" character who had more of a "connection with Strange within the normal world", in New York City".
• The Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation of Clea is the second live action portrayal of the character, after Anne Marie Martin.
