It's a Small World with Groot is an upcoming water-based dark ride located in Fantasyland at Tokyo Disneyland, starring the Guardians of the Galaxy that will open in January 15, 2025 as a six month overlay of the original It's a Small World.

Background

The ride's storyline will revolve around Groot, the adorable tree-like alien from Guardians of the Galaxy, visiting Earth for a vacation. During his adventures, Groot encounters his fellow Guardians and other Marvel characters who are also exploring different areas of the world. Together, they experience various cultures and regional music alongside children from all over the globe. While details about the exact ride experience remain under wraps, it's likely that It's a Small World with Groot will retain the core elements of the classic attraction – a whimsical boat journey through different themed sections representing various countries. The familiar and catchy "It's a Small World" theme song might be given a Marvel-themed makeover, with new characters and scenes replacing the classic ones.
