Tara Lyn Strong (née Charendoff) is a Canadian-American actress. She is best known for her voice acting in animation, websites, and video games, earning Annie Award and Daytime Emmy nominations, as well as an award from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS).
Background
Strong's acting career dates back to her early childhood. She became interested in acting when she was four years old and volunteered to be a soloist at a school production. She worked with the Yiddish Theater, where she memorized her lines phonetically because she did not know the Yiddish language. Her first major cartoon role, at the age of 13, was the titular character of Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater.
Strong has worked on several Disney productions as a voice-over artist, but her most prominent role was voicing Melody in The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea. She also voiced BeBe, Cece Proud, and Puff in The Proud Family, Spot Chicken in 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Angel in Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and Miss Minutes in the Marvel TV series Loki. Additionally, she voiced Mainframe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (replacing Miley Cyrus).
Outside of Disney, she is most famous for performing the voices for characters, such as Timmy Turner in Fairly OddParents, Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, and Twilight Sparkle in the My Little Pony franchise (most prominently in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, but did not reprise it for the Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers film).
