Thomas Stanley "Tom" Holland is an English actor and voice actor, who is perhaps best known for his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Outside of his work for Disney, Holland is also known for his roles as the titular character of Billy Elliot the Musical on the West End (a role for which he was first cast in 2008), Lucas Bennett in the 2012 film The Impossible (which marked his film debut), Arvin Russell in the 2020 Netflix film The Devil All the Time, the titular character of the 2021 Apple TV+ film Cherry, and Nathan Drake in the 2022 Sony Pictures film adaptation of Uncharted.
In 2011, he made his Disney debut voicing Shō in the UK dub of The Secret World of Arrietty that was produced by Optimum/StudioCanal.
While working on the 2015 film In the Heart of the Sea, Holland met Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When it was announced that The Amazing Spider-Man franchise would be rebooted, and the character joining the franchise in co-productions between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, Holland emailed Hemsworth to ask if he could put a good word in to Marvel Studios for his audition.[1] As of April 2015, he was one of five actors reported to be on the shortlist for the role, a list that included Asa Butterfield and Timothée Chalamet.[2] On June 23, Tom Holland was cast as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War.[3] He reprised the role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man 4, and an as-yet unannounced Marvel Studios production.[4] He also portrayed the character in the Avengers Campus attraction WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. In 2021, it was confirmed Holland will continue playing Spider-Man for another trilogy in the MCU.[5]
In 2019, Holland voiced Walter Beckett in the Fox/Blue Sky film Spies in Disguise.
In 2020, he voiced Ian Lightfoot in Disney/Pixar's Onward with Infinity War co-star Chris Pratt.

- In October 2024, Tom Holland released a non-alcoholic beer named Bero, to celebrate two years of being sober. The names are inspired by Holland's English upbringing, and are called Kingston Golden Pills - named after Kingston Upon Themes, where Tom grew up - another is named Edge Hill Hazy IPA - which is a New England-style hoppy named after his primary (elementary) school - and the third one is called Noon Wheat, which is named after the dog Noon, a schnauzer which Tom owns with his girlfriend, Zendaya.[11]
