So I've been reading the Percy Jackson books lately and they are really good! I put them off for a long time because I knew they were middle-grade books, and I thought they'd be boring, but I've really enjoyed them. I love mythology and the way it's been modernized in the series is pretty fun. I've finished the first series, and I am about to start the next set, so I figured I'd make a rec post.

THOUGH, can I just say that it's insane how little awesome Luke/Percy fic there is? Because there is so much subtext there to play around with it's ridiculous. How many times does Percy need to mention how attractive Luke is? I mean, we get it, he's hot.

Basically when I was reading Mark of Athena, this little plot bunny popped into my head to have Percy and Jason need to have sex for ~very important reasons. But when I was thinking about how that scenario played out, I had two potential scenarios: one where the boys go off to have sex by themselves, and one where their girlfriends end up watching and directing things a bit. I actually started writing both version, until I decided that the first one would be a bit easier to pull off. BUT, I couldn't get the second scenario out of my head, so here it is! The reason why Percy and Jason are having sex is the same in the two fics, and there are a few other similarities, but they definitely aren't the same fic. I hope you enjoy! :D

I actually had two versions of this fic in my head, so I might do a remix at some point with the same premise but a slightly different play-out.

I recently finished the Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan (sequel series to Percy Jackson and Olympians), It's super awesome. I find Greek mythology fascinating, so I enjoyed the clever modernization, and the books are fast-paced, easy reads, with some great characters.

One thing that I was especially impressed with, was the diversity and representation. Out of the nine main characters in the series (the characters that we get POVs for), there are four girls/five guys, a canonically gay character, and the majority (five characters) are not white. And their diversity and sexuality and gender and culture and backgrounds are important to the story. It just makes me really happy. especially because it's geared towards a younger audience and I just really love that kids can read these awesome characters and see themselves. Totally recommend!

Anyways, I really enjoyed the series, so the first thing I did was go and look for porn.

This is actually perfect timing because as I was reading The Mark of Athena last night, I got this little Jason/Percy plot bunny, that I suddenly desperately wanted to write. It's been bugging me all morning, and even though I should be working on finishing up the 50 Reasons to Have Sex ficlet I've been writing this week, or on the hp_kinkfest prompt I claimed, the snowflake challenge is telling me it's okay to work on this new thing instead! :D
