I've never had anybody podfic any of my fics before (at least not to my knowledge) so I was incredibly excited when the lovely fire_juggler messaged me earlier this week mentioning that she'd created a podfic of my fic, Because He Said He Loves You and You're Not Ready to Say It Back Yet.

This was the last fic in my 50 Reasons to Have Sex series, and one of my favorites, so it was extra awesome to hear the fic brought to life. fire_juggler does an amazing job reading the fic, and she totally nails the emotion that runs through it.

It's a really quick listen--only ten minutes--and I totally encourage you all to check it out and leave her lots of love!

I know most of ya'll are my HP frens and aren't into The Hobbit/LotR fanfic, BUT, I need to keep spreading the love for this fanfic because it is still one of the most amazing things I have ever read.

I've posted about Sansûkh before, the 375k+ teen-rated WIP Thilbo/Gigolas fanfic that I adore to pieces. It's seriously awesome, and the author is lovely over on tumblr, and she updates pretty much at least once a month with a fairly lengthy chapter, so the WIPness doesn't even bother me. [you can read my earlier post, where I flail in greater detail, here]

This post, though, is just to pimp the fact that there is a massive podfic collaboration effort going on right now, and it's awesome. The first chapter is now up, and the quality is pretty freaking great. So for those of you who might be more interested in listening, than in reading, that is now an option! I think they're also still accepting auditions for some of the later roles, if any of you podficcers on my list might want to get involved. :D

hd_tropes started posting. This fest is brilliant and I am crazy excited. the first two entries are up and that are fantastic.

Prompting is still open at hp_crossgenfest. It closes tomorrow, so if you have any last minute cross gen plot bunnies, go leave them now! :D

Prompting is also still open at hp_creatures and hp_sexstars. I actually left some promtps at hp_sexstars, which I'm quite proud of. I really don't like reading "sex worker" type fics for my OTP, but then I realized that I have so many other HP pairings I ship and the prompt ideas worked much better. ;)

In other news, I've been wanting to re-read Reparations & Foundations by saras_girl, since it's been about a year since I last read them and they always make me so happy. BUT, I have so many other fanfic and novels and books and such to read, that I couldn't really justify re-reading 300K+ words that I have already read twice before.

But then mab posted another chapter of her Turn podfic (which I am going to start listening to the second she's finished it all), and I decided to go searching for a podfic of Reparations. Turns out 6shotamericano has recorded BOTH fics! I downloaded them both and just finished Reparations and it is just FANTASTIC. I'm about to start Foundations. I don't listen to podfics often, but this makes me really want to because the story just really comes to life. Her Draco and Harry voices are particularly fantastic. Seriously wonderful podfic, can't recommend it enough!

ALSO, my Hogwarts Library order arrived over the weekend and I finally read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! So much fun. I think I will read Quidditch Through the Ages next. Problem is, now I have such a craving to re-read the whole HP series. I haven't re-read them since getting into HP fanfic, so I'm a bit curious to see how my perspective has changed, and if I read things differently. But when will I find the time to re-read the 7 book series for the nth time?
