I'm not sure these *technically* count as Rectober recs, since I'm not including *why* I'm reccing them. But I needed to repost my HP art rec posts, because it was starting to get too big for LJ to handle, and I figured Rectober would be as good a time as any to do that.

So here, have a ton of H/D art recs! These span from ~2007 to last week, and are some of my most favorite pieces of art for the pairing that I've seen around.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Mostly art hosted on LJ and for fests, because I find deviantart kind of overwhelming, and if I kept track of every piece of art ever, I'd be here for awhile. But if any of you guys have art recs for me, I'd love to look at the pretty!

So I was planning on posting these recs when the masterlist went up, but that could be awhile, so here are my favorites from Glompfest, a little late!

So I had this post all typed up, and was just waiting on a masterlist before posting it. And then December came and brought a bajillion fests with it, and this poor rec list was forgotten. The fest never did post a masterlist, but I wanted to post these recs anyways, even if they are a month and a half late!

November is one of my favorite months, and it was made even better by the fact that there were several fantastic fests to follow this last year, one of which was serpentinelion's H/D Glompfest. This is a seriously awesome fest, where the many talented writers and artists in the H/D fandom create works prompted by and dedicated to the fans, cheerleaders, beta's, and commenters. I consider myself fairly active in this fandom as far as consuming fic goes, but, as somebody with zero artistic talent, it can be difficult to feel like a true participant, which is one of the reasons this fest is so great! I put in a prompt this year and got a seriously amazing fic that just happened to completely coincidentally post on my birthday! It was a fantastic surprise and it gave me even more happy feels for this wonderful fest. My very favorites are below but you can check out the glompfest tag, which should have all of this years entries!

A post to keep track of all of the lovely fic and art that has been created based off of prompts I submitted. I don't submit a ton of prompts (I'm not all that great of coming up with unique scenarios) and it is so, so, so freaking exciting when I get to see and read what the crazy talented people come up with using my prompt as an inspiration. Makes me feel a bit more connected to the fandom! :)
