In a delightful turn of events, I've actually been reading quite a lot of HP fanfic over the past few months, particularly in September! Not only have I been trying to follow along with several fests, but I joined the gameofdrarry Wizarding Hearts game, which is essentially a challenge that runs through the end of the year and encourages you to read, comment, and rec Drarry fics for various tropes to gain points. Your girl LOVES a challenge (and a spreadsheet *heart eyes*) and I've been having a ton of fun working through my TBR list and finally having the motivation to read some excellent fic! As such, these are mostly Drarry recs, but there are a couple of other pairings thrown in for good measure. :D

I'm not sure these *technically* count as Rectober recs, since I'm not including *why* I'm reccing them. But I needed to repost my HP art rec posts, because it was starting to get too big for LJ to handle, and I figured Rectober would be as good a time as any to do that.

So here, have a ton of H/D art recs! These span from ~2007 to last week, and are some of my most favorite pieces of art for the pairing that I've seen around.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Mostly art hosted on LJ and for fests, because I find deviantart kind of overwhelming, and if I kept track of every piece of art ever, I'd be here for awhile. But if any of you guys have art recs for me, I'd love to look at the pretty!

Reveals went up yesterday for hd_smoochfest so I figured it was time for me to round up some of my favorites from the fest! This year's songspiration theme was super interesting and produced a really wide variety of fics. hd_smoochfest is truly one of my favorite fests. It's H/D, always has fun themes, and there is a guaranteed happy ending, so it's pretty much the greatest thing ever.

This year's Media Remix theme was a ton of fun. SO much creativity in melding the HP world with all the various media inspirations. A lot more super AU/AR's than you normally see in fests, which I thought was really fun. This fest always produces a lot of longer fics, so I still have a few bookmarked to read. But since I might not get to those for a few months yet, I figured I would do a recs list now with my favorites. I really suggest checking out this year's masterlist for more awesome. [Especially all the art; so much pretty art!!]

Smoochfest is one of my absolute favorite H/D fests. It consistently produces awesome fics and art and I must admit, I love knowing there is a happy ending in it for me. This year was my first year leaving any prompts and I had THREE claimed! Having prompts claimed is the best kind of present IMO and the two lovely pieces of art and the one fantastic fic definitely brightened my day! Normally I wait until reveals go up to do recs (and I'll do another post later) but for now, here are some awesome hd_smoochfest things you should go check out! :)

A post to keep track of all of the lovely fic and art that has been created based off of prompts I submitted. I don't submit a ton of prompts (I'm not all that great of coming up with unique scenarios) and it is so, so, so freaking exciting when I get to see and read what the crazy talented people come up with using my prompt as an inspiration. Makes me feel a bit more connected to the fandom! :)
