( Castiel/Dean Winchester Recs )

Reveals went up earlier today over at hp_nextgen_fest so I can claim the little fic I wrote! I generally prefer to write an entirely next gen pairing for the fest, as opposed to cross gen, but I really struggled a bit with inspiration. There were a bunch of Jeddy claims, which was great, but killed my muse for also wanting to write them. And all the prompts that appealed to be wanted to be longer fics, and I just didn't have the time! Eventually, I settled on writing some Draco/James Sirius, as I hadn't had a chance to play with these two yet this year! I though playing around with A/B/O in HP and with a rare cross gen pairing to boot would be a fun challenge. :D

Author's Notes: I don't think this is quite as gritty/angsty as what you had in mind dear prompter, but this is what came out when I started writing! There's not nearly enough a/b/o in this fandom, and I had fun adding one more fic to the mix. :) Thanks muchly to my betas!

Can I just talk about something that bugs me real quick? For me, fics that follow along with canon event in any fandom, are Canon AUs. Because it isn't actually canon, it's canon in an alternate universe of what could happen. Alternatively, fics that take place in the canon world, but don't follow canon events (like in Merlin fics where Merlin never came to Camelot, or grew up with the Druids, etc.) wouldn't be Canon AUs, they'd be Camelot AUs, alternate universes that take place in the Camelot world, but do not follow canon events. But nobody seems to agree with my way of seeing things, and most places refer to the fics in this list as "Canon AUs". C'est la vie.

Have you seen the Kingsman movie? Because it's fucking gold. Colin Firth is lookin' fiiiine, and the actor who plays Eggsy is not only super cute and adorable, but has hella chemistry with Firth. So much cross gen goodness, so much potential for D/s and daddy!kink and all that amazingness. I am ALL about this fandom.

If you haven't seen this movie, I'd totally recommend. Super fun, and while I wish there'd been a few more women, the main women they did have were pretty awesome.

These are my Sterek recs featuring one of the characters (primarily Stiles) as a girl. Most of these fics involve some kind of magic, temporarily swapping the characters male parts for female ones. I really don't love the concept of making queer ships "het" by making one of them a women, particularly as there are plenty of het ships out there in the world. There are, however, several fics with Stiles having been more a cis female, which is indicated with an alwaysagirl!stiles tag. Please note that these are specifically tagged as genderswaps, as none of these fics portray a transgender character or deal with gender identity or gender fluidity.
