The Nova Corps are an intergalactic military police force, led by Nova Prime, its main headquarters is on the planet Xandar.

The Nova Corps are responsible for arresting Gamora, Peter, Rocket, and Groot since these with his fight made a fuss in Xandar. Then Denarian Saal informs Irani Rael the capture of Gamora, an ally of Ronan. Later, Rhomman Dey and Saal presented the group, hearing their criminal records, Saal says they are a bunch of A-holes.
While a meeting took place, Dey enters and informs Rael that Ronan has an Infinity Stone and Peter and his friends were going to help them, skeptical Saal not believe him but Dey tells them he does believe in them.
During the Battle of Xandar, many Nova Corps gave their lives in battle to protect Xandar. Later, Irani Rael put the Orb in confinement in a high-security vault.
What If...?
The Nova Corps make an appearance in the series, in the episode "What if... Nebula Joined the Nova Corps?", in a reality where Nebula joined this team after the death of her adoptive father Thanos and sister Gamora. As a Nova corpsman, Nebula investigated the killing of Yondu Udonta and discovered Rael's conspiracy to disable Xandar's planetary shield and allow Ronan to invade the planet. Together with Howard the Duck, Korg, Groot and Miek, Nebula successfully stopped Ronan and the corrupt Nova corpsmen, ending Xandar's lockdown for good.

- In the original comics, members of the Nova Corps wear helmets that give them the power of flight and energy manipulation. This is in contrast to the films, where they are but common footsoldiers and law enforcement.
- The symbol of the three-dotted symbol of Nova Corps represents the three suns of Xandar.
- The symbol of the Nova Corps is identical to that of the iconic alien supervillain from the DC Comics, Brainiac.
