"Born to Be Wild" is a song originally performed by Steppenwolf. In the television special Down and Out with Donald Duck, the song plays when Donald decides to put his mind and his trademark fiery temper at ease by taking a vacation (the song is set to footage of classic Donald cartoons showing Donald on vacation). The song, which turns out to be playing on Donald's car radio, is interrupted, however, by a news flash that Donald has left the Walt Disney Studios and is headed for parts unknown.
In D3: The Mighty Ducks, during the third hockey period of the JV Ducks against the Varsity Warriors, Dean Portman gets put in the penalty box for supposedly hooking an opponent. He then screams wildly while in the box and begins stripping, during which the school band plays "Born to Be Wild".
In the Lizzie McGuire episode "Gordo's Video", the song is played when Sam McGuire trips over a skateboard while going around a course that Matt made in order to make himself a daredevil.
