Lew Frederick (Democratic Party) is a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 22. He assumed office in 2017. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Frederick (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon State Senate to represent District 22. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Frederick is a former Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 43 from 2009 to 2017. He was first appointed to the chamber on October 30, 2009, to replace Rep. Chip Shields, who resigned to take a seat in the Oregon State Senate.

Frederick did not seek re-election to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2016.

Frederick attended Earham College and is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban Studies/Communications at Portland State University. His professional experience includes working as a strategic communications consultant and as the former director of public information for the Portland Public Schools. He was also a television reporter for KGW-Channel 8 Portland.[1]

Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Lew Frederick was unopposed in the Democratic primary. He also ran as a write-in candidate on the Republican party and Working Families Party tickets. Frederick was unchallenged in the general election.[6][7][8]
