Fred Girod (Republican Party) is a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 9. He assumed office on January 30, 2008. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.
Girod (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon State Senate to represent District 9. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
The state senate Republican caucus elected Girod as State Senate Minority Leader on April 24, 2020.[1] He served in that role until October 2021.[2]
Girod is a former member of Stayton Budget Committee and Stayton City Council. He previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 1993 to 1994, and again from 2006 to 2008.
Biography
Girod earned his B.S. from Oregon State University, his D.M.D. from Oregon Health Sciences University, and his M.P.A. from Harvard University. His professional experience includes working as a dentist, former real estate developer, and partner in Lakeside Assisted Care Facility.[3]
