Floyd Prozanski (Democratic Party) is a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 4. He assumed office in 2003. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.
Prozanski (Democratic Party, Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon State Senate to represent District 4. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022. He advanced from the Democratic primary on May 17, 2022. He advanced as a write-in from the Republican primary on May 17, 2022.
Prozanski was appointed to the chamber in 2003 after the resignation of Tony Corcoran. He previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001 and from 2002 to 2003.
Biography
Prozanski earned his B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1977 and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1983. His professional experience includes working as an attorney, municipal prosecutor, legal assistant and assistant district attorney.[1]

Elections for the Oregon State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Floyd Prozanski was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Cheryl Mueller was unopposed in the Republican primary. Prozanski also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. William Bollinger ran as a Libertarian candidate. Prozanski defeated Mueller and Bollinger in the general election.[3][4][5]

On November 7, 2006, Prozanski was re-elected to the 4th District Seat in the Oregon State Senate, besting Bill Eddie (R).[8][9] Prozanski raised $90,901 for his campaign, while Eddie raised $22,275.[10]

Elections for the office of Oregon State Senate consisted of a primary election on May 18, 2004, and a general election on November 2, 2004.[11] Floyd Prozanski ran unopposed in the Democratic primary for District 4, while Norm Thomas ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Prozanski defeated Thomas in the general election.[12][13]
