Ken Helm (Democratic Party) is a member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 27. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.
Helm (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon House of Representatives to represent District 27. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Helm served as State Representative for Oregon House of Representatives District 34 from 2015-2023.
Biography
Ken Helm graduated from Bend Senior High School. Helm earned his B.A. in history and political science from Willamette University and his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law. His career experience includes working as a baker, clerking for the Land Use Board of Appeals, for Metro, the regional government in the Portland area that manages the urban growth boundary, and as a lawyer at his own law firm.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Ken Helm defeated Brian Tosky and Jason Yurgel in the Democratic primary. Helm defeated write-in candidate Brenden King (R) in the general election. King ran as a Libertarian candidate and Helm ran on the Working Families Party ticket.[7][8][9]
