|As a teacher and a mother, I am focused on the future. I know firsthand the importance of a strong public education, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and environmental stewardship. I am working to create a safer, healthier Oregon full of opportunity for future generations. When I left my classroom 4 years ago, it was to pursue new ways to give back to my community; to take action, and serve. As our Representative in House District 26, I have delivered on my campaign promises and offered responsive, stable leadership to my constituents. I know there is much more to do to make our state safer, more equitable, more sustainable, and more promising for all Oregonians.
I’ve lived in the communities of House District 26 most of my life. This is my home, and I’m honored to serve this special part of Oregon that has provided my family with so much. My values shape how I will continue to represent the biggest issues facing our state, such as housing and homelessness, public safety and workforce development. I remain focused on education funding stability, common sense gun safety, and ensuring comprehensive access to healthcare, including reproductive care.
- As a parent, educator, and now legislator, I understand how difficult the past few years have been for families, individuals, and community well-being. I remain focused on rebuilding and investing in a healthy, safe future for all Oregonians to thrive.
- In my first two terms I helped secure: Caps on insulin costs and established the Prescription Drug Affordability Board; Unprecedented investments in pre-K through 12, higher education and workforce development; More mental healthcare and behavioral supports for students and communities; Healthcare for nearly all low-income Oregonians and Paid Family & Medical Leave; Responsible gun safety policies and violence-prevention investments; Funding to increase the number of Court Appointed Special Advocates for children navigating foster care; Investments in prevention and response to homelessness; Comprehensive reproductive healthcare access for all Oregonians; High quality childcare for more low-income families; Strong environmental protections
- I work hard to build collaborative relationships and have earned the endorsement of over 100 local leaders and organizations. I have worked closely with the jurisdictions I represent to deliver State funding for local projects including: the Sherwood Pedestrian Bridge, the Wilsonville I-5 Bridge upgrade study, transit-oriented workforce housing, Just Compassion Homeless Shelter, Wilsonville Community Sharing, and broadband infrastructure development throughout the district.
I am focused on:
- Defending a woman's right to choose
- Improving safety and reducing gun violence
- Funding strong schools for teachers and students to thrive
- Responding to our homelessness crisis
- Championing affordable healthcare
- Standing up for families, workers, and seniors
- Supporting economic innovation and success
- Protecting our natural resources and environmental health
- Investing in our local communities
- Addressing COVID-19 recovery

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
