Paul Evans (Democratic Party) is a member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 20. He assumed office on January 12, 2015. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.
Evans (Democratic Party, Independent Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon House of Representatives to represent District 20. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Democratic primary on May 21, 2024.
He previously served as Mayor of Monmouth from Jan. 1999 - Dec. 2002.[1]
Biography
Evans earned his B.S. in Public Policy and Administration from Western Oregon University in 1992 and his M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Environmental Policy, Rhetoric and Social Influence, and American Politics) from Oregon State University in 2001. His professional experience includes working as a volunteer fireman with the Polk County Fire District #1, a teacher at Western Oregon University, Chemeketa Community College and Oregon State University and President of Northwest Passage Trading Company. He served in the United States Air Force from 1993-1997, and in the Oregon Air National Guard from 1997-Jul 2010.[1]

Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Paul Evans was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Kathy Goss defeated James Owens, Karl Erickson and Terrence Taylor in the Republican primary. Evans also ran on the Working Families Party ticket.
