Happy Halloween!!
October 31st and another OPAM month is over.
I love this fabric, so a runner for my dining table and a square tablecloth for my present box.
And I need a lot more for my present box, hopefully this little lady will fit in,too.
Sorry about the quality of the photos. Taken with my phone and even though you can see it is daylight it isn't good enough for indoor shots.Off to the shops now to get some sweets for the little monsters that will be on my doorstep this evening. Halloween is becoming more popular and a few venture out in the neighbourhood looking for treats. Can't disappoint them, can I :-)

Autumn calls
2 doggy blankets, hardly got a picture before she took off with one :-)
Getting ready for chilly days - hope she looks happier next time she puts it on!
My friend (photo) and I attended the first Norwegian quilt festival. Lots of courses and shops! And I will admit a few bits came home with me, hopefully photos will show up later.
I attended a hand sewing (appliqué and embroidery) project with Lynnette Andersen, here she is showing her lovely quilt A dogs life. I love her patterns. (This quilt is one of my wips)
And a lot of time is used on this little monkey, here showing one of her favourite places to relax. That's all from me for now - enjoy October whether it is getting colder or warmer, autumn and spring are my favourite seasons.

Still around ...
Not much being sewn or knitted as I have an inflammation in my shoulder that just won't go away. Terribly boring as my fingers just want to work on something.
Did get a finish for August - and a present for my sister's birthday. Here it is in progress - it did get stuffed and a beady black eye before it was sent to it's new home. But somehow Blogger isn't letting me post the photos I want.
The present was much appreciated and is now named Poppy and is much quieter than our new time-consuming furry friend.
She needs lots of love and attention - and training, but she is so lovable. As long as there are no cats around :-)

A new friend
Another month gone and I have something to show you ..
oh, this purse was for my sister
and a few bits for tiny preemies
but this is the reason I have been busy - a new friend
Isn't she gorgeous?
She is a Parson Russell terrier and is 22 months old.
She needed a new home and we welcomed her with open arms.
Hubby and I have used a lot of time to make her feel safe in her new environment; long walks in the woods, training good behaviour (brainy girl - will do anything for food :-) and of course lots and lots of cuddles! Hopefully she will soon cotton on to not needing to get up at 7 every morning as well :-)

February finishes
A pair of sheep mittens
2 cute pouches for 2 cute girls (and Di's challenge)and another pair of socks for cold feet
I'm hoping mittens and socks can soon be put away and that March will bring a hint of spring. This winter has been so dark and grey - a little sun would be lovely. At least days are getting noticeably longer now so we are moving in the right direction. :-)
Happy sewing!

Warm tooties
Warm, tooties, warm
while the men have gone to plough
If you want to warm your tooties,
come and warm them now!
A warm and loving memory of Nan. And someone is going to have warm tooties :-)

Sparkling
January almost gone.
Mornings are getting a little lighter, my spirit likewise.
I just wish it would stop snowing now - I am fed up of shoveling the stuff away. It's a time-thief :-)
A scarf/shawl with a sparkle - I made a blue/grey one, too - but that was out of the house before I got a photo taken. Easy, no-brainer telly knitting.
Have a nice day!

A warm finish
This has really been a wisp ...
nearly finished and then put aside for a whole year!!
The snow that has been falling for the last week made me dig it out again and at last it is finished.
And all 86 threads are sewn in as well!
Warm and soft alpaca wool.
Now I suppose I must get out in the snow to use it! Didn't think that one through, did I?

January
And it's cold outside - the snow has finally arrived!
So I needed some sunshine (admittedly the colors are a bit bright here).
Tutorial for 2 sided zippered purse found at Sew Christine.
More of a winter look now.
Leftover yarn made into warm socks for son #2.
I do like sitting indoors in the warm with my knitting - watching the snow fall silently past the window ...... we'll have another go at clearing paths tomorrow :)
