I've been to stay with my sister for a few days. We had a nice time chatting and shopping. We had to check out the local quilt shop. So, more fabric! A present from my sister:
She likes looking around the shop and picking out fabric .. for me to use. She always gets into trouble with sewing machines ... they refuse to do her bidding :-) and she ends up in knots! So I do the sewing if there is something she wants.
More fabric, patterns, notions came home in my bag. My sister fell in love with the bird fabric ...
More babystuff. I made most of this while at my sister's. They knit up so quickly, because they are so tiny.
I'll make a few sets before I send them off. I'm hoping to use some of my yarn stash, but there are so many pretty balls of wool and I can't pass wool shops, can I? More wool likely to find it's way to my house then :-)

BIIIIG socks .... (I think Bigfoot may be a long lost cousin) for big feet
Tiny socks for tiny feet (the other one is nearly done). I have been knitting some preemie bits and pieces for one of the local hospitals. I just had to show this cute little sock in comparison to the pair above. One day we have blue sky and birds chirping and the hope of spring in the air .... and then it snows a bit again.
A dogs life block 1 (Lynette Anderson). I just had to sign up for this. I have bought the kit from a Norwegian shop and it is in 4 parts. (I think).
The fabrics are close to the original, but they sent green for the dog's collar and for the bird (the same as the daisy centre). I thought that was a bit drab, so I changed it to blue. He is such a cute puppy!!
Oh, Happy Valentine's Day!
Hugs!

Oh, i'm stuck...
No, I haven't eaten too many cakes in this old-Saxon month of cakes. (I rather like that idea though).
I've got to choose the fabric for the middle of my Dresden plates.
#1 - all the plates have the same fabrics, but not in the same place. And I want the middle to be in one fabric, too.
#2 : slightly darker than the other greens, but also has the pink in the small flowers. A bit brighter than the photo shows.
#3: too pale?? Boring??

I see all the colours have come out a bit dull here , not easy taking pictures indoors yet.
So the question is .... to get me unstuck.... what do you think??? Other suggestions also gratefully received.

Enjoying myself
Well, at least I enjoyed myself after all the fabric cutting, making these:
And they will all eventually turn into these:
And I feel really good, because I am only using fabric from my stash (so far ). I haven't decided on the middle or the background yet - just enjoying my first Dresden plates.
And of course, more socks on the needles for telly time.
Enjoy your weekend!
