Last finishes

Now Christmas is over and only a few days left of 2013 so it is time to post my last finishes.
I have had a knitting/crocheting spell lately. Several of these were Christmas pressies.

The colour of the hat is wrong - it is really dark purple! And I just had to keep the owl mittens for myself!
So that was the end of OPAM for this year - I think! I look forward to taking part in 2014!
Wishing you all the best for 2014!!

Merry Christmas

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas !
And hoping peace, love and light may fill your heart at this time.
I have been quite busy, but can't show and tell until everyone has seen what santa had in his sack. :-) (Someone I know has been keeping an eye on my blog ...)

November finishes

OPAM November

it's beginning to look alot like Christmas ....
The annual Christmas market next weekend (where I used to live) so I am off on Wednesday with a few bits and bobs to sell
Not travelling like this (Lynette Andersen design) - I have a five and a half hour train journey and hopefully warmer than an open sleigh.I will wrap up warm as the weather forecast isn't good and you never know when you might get stuck across the mountains.
 Two modern runners (AnnAKa designs)
The red is really a lot darker, but even midday the light isn't very good for photos.
This red should be darker, too, but I had to show off my Lemoyne stars.
I really enjoy making these, so more stars are being planned (for after Christmas)
Two snowball runners, two different lengths.
And star mats (AnnAKa) for advent
 For Christmas
And wintertime - and yes the red is really much darker!
Hopefully they will sell, if not I already have a lot of gifts ready for Christmas :-)
Have a good week everyone!

Autumn break

As usual we went to see hubby's parents in our autumn break. While we were there we drove through a new tunnel that has opened up places we hadn't seen before.
This is Rugsund Landhandel, where people along the coast here could get their supplies. Used by boat tourists in the summer now.
A bit late in the season, no people about, but we saw this little fellow...  can you see him?
(It is an otter and he was rather big actually)
As least as big as this cute friend who came out to check on us.
I can't help it, I just have to catch the lovely autumn colours.
We passed Hornelen, 860 metres up to the top. Rather impressive!
The weather not at it's best every day, but then I love changing skies.
I did have both knitting and stitchery with me, but my head reacts badly to low pressure so nothing to show. Back home again now so I'll just have to get cracking. Hope you have had a good weekend!

opam September

Another month gone .... and another finish for September.  My youngest son has been visiting for a week so I have kept to knitting in the evenings. It has been lovely to have him here.
The sun sets earlier now, but the sky is often spectacular. I love watching the clouds and colours change. Now if only I could paint :-)
Wishing you all a great new month, whether you are warming up or cooling down!

Good days

My neighbour harvesting the last of the golden fields .....always wonder if he'll end up in our garden one day, he comes right to the edge.  I enjoy watching the farmwork around here during the different seasons and the changing colours in the fields.
My flowers stiff offering beauty and colour despite the colder nights and recent downpours.
 Darker evenings = busy fingers.
And another pouch (pattern by Geta). This one is smaller than the first I made. The pattern is really easy to follow and the result looks good. Will definitely make more of these, great as gifts.
Son #2 visiting for a few days so I am really enjoying this weekend and hope you are having a good time, too.

Autumn beauty

Autumn is on its way even though we still have warm and sunny days. Colours are changing and evenings are getting darker.
It is time to harvest some of nature's beauty. Sunday we picked 4,5 kilos of cranberries in about 30 minutes! Will give us a taste of sunshine in the winter :-)  I just love autumn colours.
We stopped for a coffee break by a lake.

So quiet and peaceful - a break from the noise and chatter that usually surrounds us.

Back to work!

Summer is drawing to a close and it is time to do things!
So today I packed my machine and "stuff" and took off to my friend for a few hours.
(And thanks again for the bag, Di, it is great!).

Came home with this. Quite pleased to have a finish
And two zippers !!!! (Pattern Geta Gama)

Not a terrible lot done lately, but I finished two more washcloths

And I have been working on this, EPP, and will eventually be a tablecloth. Slow going, but I like to do a little in the evening while watching telly.
I feel I am picking up speed again after being down in the dumps a few weeks as we lost both our beautiful furbabies this summer due to their major health problems. I miss them terribly, but there was nothing more to do for them. I have wonderful memories of all the fun and cuddles we had and will keep them in my heart for ever.

June

First of all my opam finishes for June. I am still in a bit of this and a bit of that modus, but at least I have  something to show this month.
A table mat (the rest of the set not done yet)
A sewing box for odds and ends - easy to take with me if I want to sit outdoors. (Pattern: Sue Daley)
It's hand sewn, didn't realize that before I started on it.
I am in a Facebook group that knits washcloths/dishcloths. My first two.
End of opam for June!
My friend from where I used to live has been down for a visit. We went to Kistefos museum art park, which I think is fascinating each time I visit.
This year's addition. Hilarious! Naughty teddy!
A lifesize still life. So pretty.
Bye for now - hope you are doing something fun today!

Been busy

It’s that time of year ! I have been quite busy and still have more to get done - will have to see how far I get.  I enjoy making a few C...
