The end of a summer holiday

The holiday is over and DH had to go back to work yesterday. The weather here has been very wet this summer, so DH and I decided to have a week in the sun - we went to Nessebar, Bulgaria. It is a small, very old town by the Black Sea. And we found the sun and warm sand and water :) Heaven!

 The town is known for it's buildings; stone ground floor and upper floors are of wood. And all the streets are full of small shops selling just about everything. I got some rose oils because Bulgaria produces some of the best.

 I just had to show this palm tree we found in a nearby town .... maybe I'll get one for my garden? :)

 I did have some work with me .... and I did a bit of this

 and a bit of that ... but I must admit it wasn't much. No finishes?

 Must have something for opam! This little pouch 

 and another blankie are my July finishes. (Made before we left).

If this weather keeps up I should have something more to show next month!!

I just had to show you what came in the mail today! My prize!  Thank you Michelle of Raspberry Rabbits - it is so pretty, I love it! And it arrived so quickly!

 It will hang in my sewing room so I can see it while working.

The sweets were tasty, too :-)

I am off to find the sun today! So far our summer has been very wet and cloudy. Sooo .. we are getting on a jet this evening to a warmer place. I have packed stitchery, hexies and knitting (only going for a week) - I'll post when I get back so you can see how much I have got done :-)
