- 100. The Legend Has Begun (伝説は始まった, Densetsu wa Hajimatta?): Smoker captures Buggy and Alvida and prepares to get Luffy, when he is stopped by a storm and a man named Dragon. The Straw Hat Pirates then leave Loguetown to head for the Grand Line.
- 101. Reverse Mountain (リヴァースマウンテン, Rivāsu Maunten?): After accidentally ending up in the Calm Belt, the Straw Hats sail up Reverse Mountain to get to the Grand Line.
- 102. Now, The Grand Line (さて、偉大なる航路, Sate, Gurando Rain?): The Straw Hats make it into the Grand Line, where they are swallowed by a giant whale.
- 103. The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?): The Straw Hats meet an old man named Crocus inside the whale, and Crocus explains about the whale, whose name is Laboon. They also meet a strange man and woman.
- 104. Cape Promise (約束の岬, Yakusoku no Misaki?): The Straw Hats escape from Laboon, who is anxiously waiting for a deceased pirate crew to return to him. Luffy then promises Laboon that he will come back after conquering the Grand Line.
- 105. Log Pose (記録指針, Rogu Pōsu?): Crocus gives the Straw Hats a Log Pose, and they agree to take Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday to Whisky Peak.
- 106. The Town of Welcome (歓迎の町, Kangei no Machi?): The Straw Hats reach Whisky Peak, where they receive an unusually warm welcome.
- 107. Moonlight and Tombstones (月光と墓標, Gekkō to Bohyō?): The Straw Hats pass out after the party, and it is revealed that it was a trap to capture Luffy for his bounty. However, Zoro confronts several Baroque Works bounty hunters before they can do this.
- 108. 100 Bounty Hunters (100人の賞金稼ぎ, Hyakunin no Shōkin Kasegi?): Zoro easily defeats the 100 Baroque Works bounty hunters.
