Tera was the daughter of a bandit from the East Blue. She is the mother of Roronoa Zoro, as well as the wife of Roronoa Arashi.[1]

Based on her silhouette, Tera had long hair worn in a ponytail and prominent eyelashes.[1]

History[]

Tera was the daughter of a bandit from the East Blue. At some point, she married a man named Roronoa Arashi from the Shimotsuki Village, and twenty-one years ago, they had a son named Roronoa Zoro. She later died of an illness.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Tera (寺) means "temple" in Japanese. Her name may be derived from terasen (寺銭), literally "temple money", a fee charged by a gambling house. This follows the gambling-themed names of Zoro's relatives.
