I too saw one the other day and wondered if it was a video, but when I pressed it, it turned out to be a sandwich. Nothing moves on paper, does it? Wrong. • 995. A Kunoichi's Oath (くの一の誓い, Kunoichi no Chikai^?): Tama and Komachiyo arrive at Onigashima and save Nami and Usopp from Ulti and Page One.
• 996. Island of the Strongest (最強がいる島, Saikyō ga Iru Shima^?): Franky takes on Sasaki, allowing Yamato to escape with Momonosuke and Shinobu. Meanwhile, Kaido overwhelms the Scabbards.

• As a special event for the 100th volume, Eiichiro Oda is doing a three volume cover spread encompassing volumes 99, 100 and 101.
  • This is the second time that Oda is doing a volume cover spread, the first one being with volumes 21 and 22.
  • Volume 13 of One Piece Magazine included a full spread illustration of the three volume covers.
• This volume, along with Volume 101, are currently the only two without Luffy on the cover that are not exclusively made up of antagonists.
• This is the first volume cover on which Jinbe is shown alongside the Straw Hat Pirates since he joined the crew and became the crew's helmsman.
• The addition of Luffy saying "fool", in chapter 1000, was intended as a last-minute addition to the initial publishing, but was delayed to the volume after Oda forgot to tell his editor. He came up with the addition to more clearly communicate Luffy's emotions, after having to cut their discussion from his initial plan of 5 pages down to 2 and a half.
