Boy I had this rating so wrong. When I first started using Letterboxd I was asked what movies I had seen and if I wanted to rate them. I had watched like 30 minutes of this and said eh I’ll rate it 3/5.
Now after watching the whole movie I can confidently say that this is a great action movie. Tom Hardy is the perfect replacement for Mel Gibson and he defined the role. For Hardy to be able to re define an already culturally famous character shows just how great of an actor he is. Charlize Theron is good in this but I didn’t love her performance as much as others have.
Overall, Fury Road is a fantastic crazy action film that lights up all the senses. Definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 out of 5.
