I come to the theater to witness the nuclear explosion in IMAX & it doesn't disappoint. Everything else about it (visuals, performances, etc) is good too. The audio for this movie is one of the loudest I have ever heard at the theater. The explosion(s) & Ludwig Göransson's score shook my whole body.

I like how Nolan balances between 'humanizing' Oppenheimer enough to make you sympathize with his plight while at the same time calling him out for his contribution to the creation of weapons of mass destruction. What little moments of redemption Oppenheimer had is overshadowed by the guilt & paranoia that he might doom the world with his invention. There are several scenes where Oppenheimer imagines the deaths & destruction he had unleashed, which I think is the best part of the movie.

Also, I guess I am not much of a history buff, but I have no idea that they nicknamed him "Oppie" for real back then. Kinda caught me off guard.
