Summary[]
Forced to spend the cold night in Megumin's room after Yuiyui Locked the door, Kazuma has no choice but to crawl into the futon alongside Megumin. Too nervous to sleep with a pretty girl right next to him, Kazuma ponders the pros and cons of making a move on her, though by the time he finally musters the courage act on his desires, Megumin stirs and panics. Kazuma proceeds to diffuse the situation by nonchalantly explaining how they got into this condition, yet Megumin tricks Kazuma into admitting his desire, after which she angrily runs away via the window to Yunyun's house.
The next day, following Kazuma being called names during breakfast, Megumin takes him and Aqua sightseeing around the village's tourist attractions. At the Car-Ears Shrine, they are shown the figurine of a car-eared girl in school swimsuit, which was gifted to the Crimson Magic Clan after they saved a traveler who Kazuma thinks was a reincarnated Japanese. Later when Kazuma wants to try pulling out a holy sword stuck in a rock, Megumin reveals how it is actually a recently added tourist attraction that requires a fee to challenge and will be unwinnable for a long time. She afterwards takes them to the Wishing Fountain, where according to rumour a goddess appears after axes and coins are tossed in, prompting Aqua to hop into the water regularly scavenged by the village blacksmith. Lastly, the three of them arrive at an underground facility used for sealing a weapon that can destroy the world, which was constructed around the same period as a neighbouring mysterious concrete building. Kazuma though feels exasperated when Megumin talks about the tomb for sealing an evil spirit and the place an unknown goddess was sealed both having their seals broken, and isn't reassured with the seal on the weapon despite it requiring knowledge of an unreadable ancient language to break.
Next, they visit Cheekera's clothing shop for Megumin's cloaks, where Kazuma and Aqua notice them being hung out to dry on a "legendary pole" looking just like a rifle, and makes the Japanese reincarnate wonder about all the otherworldly things gathered in the village. Megumin later leads them to the hills for a rest, before talking about an observatory from which tourists can observe the room of the Demon King's Daughter in addition to how lovers cursed by the Devil's Hill they are on cannot break up.
Kazuma suddenly notices the Demon King's Army making a sneak attack, this time close to Megumin's home. He and Megumin then wonder whether the goal of the raid is to sabotage a building or pillage the sealed weapon, before running off to alert the villagers. Meanwhile, Darkness is busy holding back a band of Oni outside Megumin's home, at which she is approached by Sylvia, the Demon King's General leading the attack.
