The home was initially a rundown wooden Japanese countryside house with a well and kindling storages in the yard, since it was all that Hyoizaburoo could afford given his financial situation. Despite its shabbiness, the home still contained enough bedrooms and facilities for the family of four, in addition to a workshop where Hyoizaburoo plied his trade.
During the period Chomusuke was hunted, the home saw its front door ripped off by servants of the Dark God,[2] and later had a hole blown into it by Bukkororii.[3] It was eventually destroyed in its entirety when the Devil King's Daughter attacked the village,[4] then got rebuilt into a decent modern country house through a loan that Megumin's parents had taken.[5]
