May a Goddess Cleanse This Defiled Hot Spring! (2) (この不浄な温泉街に女神を！②, Kono Fujō na Onsengai ni Megami wo! 2) is the forty-first chapter of the KonoSuba manga series, and covers Chapter 5 in Volume 4 of the light novels.
As Kazuma panics at the sight of the gigantic monstrosity that Hans has transformed into while Darkness fantasizes, the Deadly Poison Slime instinctively starts devouring the surrounding trees and rocks. With Wiz, who is busy Freezing the PurifyingAqua, lacking the magical power to freeze a Hans of that size, and Megumin possibly spreading the contamination if she casts Explosion, Kazuma is at a loss when Hans reaches for him. Darkness who had stripped off her armour proceeds to lure Hans to go after her so the others can escape, yet Aqua insists on staying to Purify the hot springs.
At this moment, Kazuma figures out that Wiz and Aqua can respectively freeze and purify Hans if its body is blown to small pieces even over a wide area, so telling Megumin to prepare herself, Kazuma yells at the Darkness barely keeping ahead to keep them alive. Megumin subsequently releases an Explosion on the pursuing Hans, following which Darkness grabs her before racing towards Kazuma and Wiz so she can shield them all from the force of the explosion and the raining blobs of poison slime.
