One Last Night with This Noble Girl! (1) (この令嬢と最後の夜を！①, Kono Rējō to Saigo no Yoru wo! 1) is the seventy-fourth chapter of the KonoSuba manga series, and covers Chapter 4 in Volume 7 of the light novels.
Summary[]
Outside the walls of the Dustiness residence at night, Kazuma who had heard from Rin about Darkness getting married to Alderp plans to sneak in despite Megumin's misgivings. As Aqua wonders why Darkness is suddenly marrying the governor, Kazuma remembering all that Alderp had done to their party becomes determined to inquire the specifics from her.
Next recalling Vanir's prediction about calamity befalling Darkness' household and father, which unfolding events proved accurate to Aqua's vexation, Megumin warns Kazuma of the helpful Devil having ulterior motives, though Kazuma did in fact speculate about Vanir's true goals, but considered his advice concerning the production of more goods as harmless enough. He instead finds himself worrying about Darkness doing something rash again due to some stupid reason in hopes of solving the problem by martyring herself just like Vanir had predicted, before emphasising that he isn't going to lecture her for abandoning them as a form of jealous payback or sneaking in for the thrill of meeting her again.
When Kazuma is about to set out, Aqua at his request casts upon him a series of support magic, including Versatile Entertainer which makes him a gifted performer, though the unamused Kazuma smacks her for it. Subsequently climbing the rope he had shot over the wall, Kazuma tells the girls to retrieve it afterwards and return to their mansion. He accordingly breaks a window of the estate's mansion using the combination of Tinder and Freeze to sneak inside an empty room, fully aware of him changing from Adventurer to Burglar like back in Iris' castle.
Inside the huge mansion where looking for Darkness' room will prove difficult, Kazuma hears a guard named Norris approaching with a colleague in response to hearing a noise, though they notice neither the broken window behind closed curtains nor Kazuma who hides under a bed, following which they head towards the kitchen for a midnight snack. Kazuma thus ponders impersonating a guard in order to instruct the kitchen to have food sent to Darkness' room, then while fretting over the hurdle of mimicking the guards' voices, recalls the Versatile Entertainer Aqua had cast on him, which allows him to speak in the voices of people like Norris and Darkness. Excitedly entertaining himself by saying words of love and admiration for him using the voices of his party members, Wiz, Yunyun, and other female adventurers, Kazuma soon calls quits and returns to seeking Darkness.
Seeing the guards leaving the kitchen after eating their fill to resume patrolling, Kazuma with Norris' voice asks the cook through the kitchen door to bring Darkness a late-night snack. He next follows the cook to Darkness' room, and subsequent to the cook hurriedly leaving when the wakened Darkness denies having ordered the food, he poses as Norris to inform her about Satou Kazuma wishing to meet her. Darkness though refuses to see her former party members, so Kazuma claims that he will tell the people at the Guild of her embarrassing secrets, but Darkness dismisses it because she won't be showing up at the Guild anymore. Kazuma thus talks of him telling the staff how Darkness had worried about her ripped abs, imagined herself in adorable dresses, and nightly vents by herself the pent-up sexual desire in her sexy virgin body.
The embarrassed Darkness frantically throws open the door, only to be shocked when Kazuma leaps into her room. Covering Darkness' mouth and forcing her onto the bed, Kazuma is about to inquire regarding her quitting the party, when he realises that the current situation looks like he is about to enact a night raid on Darkness, who closes her eyes in submission. Fearful of becoming mincemeat if the other girls find out he had crossed the line due to Darkness being too sexy, he clarifies his intent of simply asking questions. After Kazuma lets go of her mouth, Darkness bashfully asks for him to face away, yet as soon as he complies, she yells that there is a pervert in her room, to Kazuma's frustrated shock.
