"Eau de Minnie" is the twenty-first episode of Mickey Mouse.
Synopsis[]
Minnie's new perfume enchants more than Mickey — it attracts an entire city.
Plot[]
One day, at her apartment, Minnie talks on the phone with Mickey and tells him that she'll see him at 8 p.m. for a date, adding that she'll look and smell like never before. When she hangs up the phone, Minnie panics because she doesn't know what to wear and runs to her closet to look for something. At first, Minnie tries with a Mexican dress with a pearl necklace, bracelets, heels and a rose on her head, but she thinks it's too spicy, later, Minnie tries with her pink dress with white polka dots, but she thinks it's too young, later, she tries with an elegant British dress with long gloves, a ring, lipstick, a mole on her cheek, earrings, a large wig with a hat with a feather and she speaks with a British accent, but she thinks it's too much. Minnie's panic increases more and more and she can't decide what to use, but then her mirror image whistles at her, suggests wearing her black top and Minnie likes the idea of wearing a classic.
Once dressed, Minnie proceeds to put on perfume and tries to choose between all of her perfumes, then she finds one called "Entrancement" and chooses it, enchanted by the appearance of the perfume. Minnie starts to put on perfume and her mirror image tells her to take it easy because she tends to go a little overboard with that kind of thing, reminding her of something that happened in Barbados, but Minnie ignores her and puts on too much perfume. Minnie puts on her hat, sprays perfume on the flower on her hat and proceeds to leave, but she is unable to resist the fragrance of the perfume and sprays even more. Minnie puts the perfume in her pocket in case she wants to put on more and leaves.
While walking to her date, Minnie's overwhelming scent attracts a flock of blue birds, causes a florist to mistake her for a flower - cramming her into a vase, and inspires a baker to try to bake her in the oven. Minnie then wonders if her perfume is the culprit and her suspicions are confirmed when she's once again the victim of a barrage of unwanted attention: At first, from a traffic pile-up trying to give her a ride, later a row of buildings and lastly a bunch of shoes from a shoe store. Minnie tries to get rid of the perfume and throws it, but it falls into a rain drain and flies towards her, exploding on her and covering her with an extremely strong sample of the fragrance. Having become more irresistible than ever, things really go crazy as a bunch of escaped zoo animals come stampeding towards her. Minnie runs into an alley, is cornered by the crowd (in which the moon is) and hides in a dumpster. At first, Minnie is disgusted by the smell of the trash, but she quickly realizes that she can use the bad smell of the trash to eliminate her good smell and takes a trash bath. Minnie rubs cheese on her body, pour stale milk on herself, slides on a mud puddle and rubs a skunk over her face. Thanks to her new bad smell, Minnie manages to get rid of the crowd, who flee horrified by the stench.
Moments later, Mickey is waiting at Un Peu Bistro and then he sees that Minnie has already arrived. Minnie enters the bistro, completely covered in trash and emitting an enormous cloud of stench. Minnie asks Mickey how she looks and Mickey tries to tell her how she looks and smells, but Minnie's bad smell makes him want to throw up, Minnie asks him if she looks and smells like never before, to which Mickey nods and she hugs him affectionately.

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode to not feature Mickey as the main protagonist. The title said "Minnie Mouse" instead of the usual "Mickey Mouse".
- When Minnie is clamoring about what she will wear for her date with Mickey, her reflection is moving on its own. This is a reference to the same scenario that occurs during "A Spoonful of Sugar" in Mary Poppins.
- This is also the first episode where Mickey doesn't have a huge role.
- One of the outfits that Minnie tries on for her date with Mickey is her pink and white-dotted bow and dress from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and later Mickey and the Roadster Racers, which she digressed and suggested that it was "too young", likely a reference to how both of the aforementioned shows are educational and targeted towards preschoolers.
- This episode suggests that Minnie is usually wearing a black shirt with her dress (or it is the animated thing where she puts on another skin).
- Minnie apparently has a habit of going overboard on wearing perfume.
- Her reflection also mentions an event that happened in Barbados involving Minnie charming Mickey after applying too much perfume.
- Minnie hums "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" for the first time.
- The Disney Channel on Demand streaming of this episode in the United States has mostly sourced from PAL masters rather than NTSC masters since January 2016. This is highly unusual for an On Demand streaming in the US. However, it is still normal-pitched on both the WATCH Disney Channel app and Disney+ in the US.
- This episode was nominated at the 2015 Annecy International Animated Film Festival for best TV series.
- When Minnie arrived being dirty and messy in her date may have been a throwback to the 1947 Mickey Mouse cartoon Mickey's Delayed Date, but with Mickey and Minnie's roles switched around, with Minnie being late for her and Mickey's date instead of Mickey being late for he and Minnie's date.
Error[]
- When Minnie is talking to Mickey on the phone, she isn't wearing her hat. However when she kisses him through her phone, the hat suddenly appears on her head, but in the next shot, it's gone again.
