Plot[]
Summary[]
Mickey and Donald struggle to help Goofy get through a job interview.
Synopsis[]
Goofy is still sleeping in his bedroom even though he has a job interview, and Donald and Mickey are there. The latter tries to shake Goofy and gets a clock to wake him up, then Donald squirts Goofy with a hose, but he's still sleeping. After that, Mickey has an idea: they put on his large coat and shoes, but he puts a blue marker on Goofy's eyelids. Donald then buttons the coat and they take him to his big job interview. The receptionist comes in and calls for "Mr. Goofy". Mickey and Donald try to walk, but they keep clumsily switching places inside the coat. They visit the president for the interview, and Mickey tries to shake his hand, but he can't see because he is hidden in the coat (the glove is stuck in the president's nose). He then says that Goofy needs to sit down, but he's so slippery that he falls off his chair. The president asks Goofy about his skills for the job, but Mickey and Donald are helpless because they don't know what kind of job Goofy was applying for. Mickey then moves Goofy's ear to make him say whatever comes to mind, and the president finds him interesting, and Donald wants to try it by making Goofy quack, leading the president to believe that he is bilingual. The president tries to ask Goofy a final question, but the latter snored loudly, to which the president acknowledges that he finds those questions boring himself. The president starts to tell a joke, so Donald tickles Goofy to make him laugh. The president lets Goofy write his contact info, so Donald holds Goofy's ears and Mickey holds Goofy's hand to write, but he almost destroys the room while in the middle of having a nightmare, sending Mickey and Donald in a panic, and he smashes the portrait of the president's father on his head. Instead of being angry, though, he is happy about his room being destroyed as he considers it liberation from his father's rules, and decides to hire Goofy right away, much to Mickey and Donald's delight. After that, the two take the coat off, only to find out that the job Goofy applied for is as a living crash test dummy, and that they are strapped to a turbo chair that's about to crash into an iron wall. Then Goofy wakes up and runs away in a hurry because he is late for his interview, causing Donald and Mickey to scream in terror as they crash into the iron wall, then the word End Appears but the letter D falls off causing to spell En, ending the short.
