"Wonders of the Deep" is the forty-fifth episode of Mickey Mouse. It aired on November 26, 2015.
Synopsis[]
Mickey, Donald and Goofy must save Professor Von Drake after accidentally jettisoning him out of a submarine.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Professor Von Drake announcing Mickey, Donald and Goofy about their trip of the wonders of the deep. The trio look outside the window of the submarine only the see that there were no wonders or sea creatures, except for a burping fish. The three get disappointed. Donald leaves frustrated, while Goofy sees a fish that he thinks is a whale, but Mickey says that it's a guppy and concludes that he has seen deep wonders in a fishbowl. He asks the professor to take them on a real adventure in the deep. The professor agrees to start their trip down.

- The mermaid illustration in Mickey's book is a Mary Blair painting produced as a concept during the production of Peter Pan.
- The submarine has many physical similarities to the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, with the diving suits, one of the windows, the pipe organ, and the giant squid.
- Pinocchio, who makes a cameo with his father Geppetto, properly has an Italian accent in this episode, while in his other appearances in the Disney universe, he has an American accent.
- The episode was originally titled "Submarine Voyage", which is named after the Disneyland attraction.
- The Giant Squid's screech is sampled from the Godzilla roar sound effect interlaced with the roars of another giant cephalopod, Gezora.
- The episode serves as the basis for an undersea scene in Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
