President Putin’s press conference on Wednesday in Uzbekistan might have been the most unusual and extraordinary event in his 24-year political career. After addressing the Constitutional issues surrounding Ukrainian President Zelensky’s decision to remain in office beyond his four-year term, Putin delivered a brief but disturbing statement on NATO’s plan to fire long-range weapons at targets inside Russia. Putin made it clear that Russia would respond to these attacks and that the countries that provided the weapons systems would be held responsible. He also gave a very detailed description of how the systems work and how they require contractors from the country-of-origin be directly involved in their operation. What is so remarkable about Putin’s comments is not the fact that they bring the world closer to a direct confrontation between nuclear-armed adversaries, but that he had to remind political leaders in the West that Russia is not going to sit back and be their punching bag. Here’s part of what Putin said:

With regard to the strikes, frankly, I am not sure what the NATO Secretary General is talking about. When he was the Prime Minister of Norway, (we had good relations) and I am positive he was not suffering from dementia back then. If he is talking about potentially attacking Russia’s territory with long-range precision weapons, he, as a person who heads a military-political organisation, even though he is a civilian like me, should be aware of the fact that long-range precision weapons cannot be used without space-based reconnaissance. This is my first point.

My second point is that the final target selection and what is known as launch mission can only be made by highly skilled specialists who rely on this reconnaissance data, technical reconnaissance data. For some attack systems, such as Storm Shadow, these launch missions can be put in automatically, without the need to use Ukrainian military. Who does it? Those who manufacture and those who allegedly supply these attack systems to Ukraine do. This can and does happen without the participation of the Ukrainian military. Launching other systems, such as ATACMS, for example, also relies on space reconnaissance data, targets are identified and automatically communicated to the relevant crews that may not even realise what exactly they are putting in. A crew, maybe even a Ukrainian crew, then puts in the corresponding launch mission. However, the mission is put together by representatives of NATO countries, not the Ukrainian military. Putin Presser in Uzbekistan, Kremlin

Let’s summarize:

  1. The long-range precision weapons (missiles) are provided by NATO countries
  2. The long-range precision weapons are manned by experts or contractors from the country of origin
  3. The long-range precision weapons must be linked to space reconnaissance data provide by the US or NATO
  4. The targets in Russia are also provided by space reconnaissance data provide by the US or NATO

The point that Putin is trying to make is that the long-range missiles are made by NATO, furnished by NATO, operated and launched by NATO contractors, whose targets are selected by NATO experts using space reconnaissance data provided by NATO. In every respect, the prospective firing of long-range precision weapons at targets in Russia, is a NATO-US operation. Thus, there should be no confusion about who is responsible. NATO is responsible which means that NATO is effectively declaring war on Russia. Putin’s lengthy comments merely underscore this critical point. Here’s more from Putin:

So, these officials from NATO countries, especially the ones based in Europe, particularly in small European countries, should be fully aware of what is at stake. They should keep in mind that theirs are small and densely populated countries, which is a factor to reckon with before they start talking about striking deep into the Russian territory. It is a serious matter and, without a doubt, we are watching this very carefully. Putin Presser in Uzbekistan, Kremlin

Naturally, the western media has focused all its attention on the paragraph above, and for good reason; Putin is stating the obvious: ‘If you attack Russia, we will retaliate.’ That is the underlying message. Here are a few of Friday’s (hysterical) headlines:

  • Vladimir Putin Threatens ‘All-Out War’ if Ukraine Uses Western Weapons to Hit Russia — as Volodymyr Zelensky Asks Allies for Their Permission, MSN.com
  • Why is Putin again threatening a nuclear war?, The Interpreter
  • Putin warns the West: Russia is ready for nuclear war, Reuters
  • TYRANT’S THREAT: Vladimir Putin threatens all-out war if Ukraine uses Western weapons to hit Russia, The Sun
  • (and the best of all)
Time to Call Putin’s Bluff, CNN

Is that what this is all about; testing Putin to see if he’s bluffing?

If it is, it is a uniquely risky strategy. But there is a grain of truth to what they say. After all, Putin is warning that any attack on Russia will trigger an immediate and ferocious retaliatory strike. And he is advising the leaders of ‘small, densely populated NATO countries’ to consider how a nuclear attack by Russia might impact their prospects for the future. Would they really put their entire civilization at risk to find out whether Putin is bluffing or not? Here’s Putin again:

Look at what your Western colleagues are reporting. No one is talking about shelling Belgorod (in Russia) or other adjacent territories. The only thing they are talking about is Russia opening a new front and attacking Kharkov. Not a word. Why is that? They did it with their own hands. Well, let them reap the fruits of their ingenuity. The same thing can happen in case the long-range precision weapons which you asked about is used.

More broadly, this unending escalation can lead to serious consequences. If Europe were to face those serious consequences, what will the United States do, considering our strategic arms parity? It is hard to tell. Putin Presser in Uzbekistan, Kremlin

Putin seems genuinely mystified by the West’s behavior. Do US and NATO leaders really think they can attack Russia with long-range missiles and Russia won’t respond? Do they really think their ridiculous propaganda can impact the outcome of a clash between two nuclear-armed superpowers? What are they thinking or ARE they thinking? We don’t know. We seem to have entered ‘uncharted stupidity’ where desperation and ignorance converge to create a foreign policy that is utter madness. This is from an article at Tass News Service:

NATO countries that have approved strikes with their weapons on Russian territory should be aware that their equipment and specialists will be destroyed not only in Ukraine, but also at any point from where Russian territory is attacked, the Russian Security Council’s Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel, noting that the participation of NATO specialists could be seen as a casus belli.

“All their military equipment and specialists fighting against us will be destroyed both on the territory of former Ukraine and on the territory of other countries, should strikes be carried out from there against Russian territory,” Medvedev warned.

He added that Moscow proceeded from the fact that all long-range weapons supplied to Ukraine were already “directly operated by servicemen from NATO countries”, which is tantamount to participation in the war against Russia and a reason to start combat operations. NATO weapons to be hit in any country from where Russia may be attacked — Medvedev, Tass

There it is in black and white. Where Putin chose to take the diplomatic approach, Medvedev opted for the hammer-blow. ‘If you attack Russia, we will bomb you back to the Stone Age.’ Not much wiggle-room there. But perhaps clarity is what’s needed for people who do not understand the potential consequences of their actions. In any event, no one in Washington or Brussels can say they weren’t warned.

We cannot exclude the possibility that Washington actually wants to expand the war despite the fact that cities across Eastern Europe could be incinerated in the process. It could be that beltway warhawks see a broader conflict as the only way to achieve their geopolitical ambitions. Putin knows that this is a real possibility, just as he knows that there is a sizable constituency in Washington that support the use of nuclear weapons. This might explain why he is proceeding so cautiously, because he knows there are crazies within the US establishment who look forward to a clash with their old rival Russia so they can implement their pet-theories about “usable” nukes for tactical advantage. Here’s Putin:

The United States has a theory of a ‘preventive strike’…Now they are developing a system for a ‘disarming strike’. What does that mean? It means striking at control centres with modern high-tech weapons to destroy the opponent’s ability to counterattack.

Putin has devoted a considerable amount of time studying US Nuclear Doctrine, and it has him deeply concerned. After all, didn’t the Biden administration launch an unprecedented attack on “a key element of Russia’s nuclear umbrella” just last week?

Indeed, they did.

And hasn’t the US (via its Nuclear Posture Review) rebranded the offensive use of nuclear weapons as a justifiable act of defense?

It has.

And doesn’t this revision provide US warhawks with the institutional framework needed to launch a nuclear attack without fear of legal prosecution?

It does.

And haven’t these same warhawks developed their respective theories on “first-strike”, “preemption” and “disarming strike” in order to lay the groundwork for a first-strike nuclear attack on a geopolitical rival of Washington?

They have.

And doesn’t US Nuclear Doctrine state that nuclear weapons can be used “in extreme circumstances to defend the vital interests of the United States or its allies and partners.”

It does.

And does that definition include economic rivals like China?

Yes.

And is that a defense of a “first strike” nuclear weapon attack?

It is.

And does that mean that the United States no longer regards its nuclear arsenal as purely defensive but as an essential instrument for preserving the “rules-based order”?

Yes, it does.

And does Putin know that there are powerful actors in the political establishment and deep state who would like to see the taboo on nuclear weapons lifted so they can be used in more situations and with greater frequency?

He does.

And does he know that Washington regards Russia and China as the primary threats to US global hegemony and the “rules-based order”?

Yes.

And does he realize that if the US implements its first-strike policy Russia may not have the time to retaliate?

He does.

And does Putin realize that foreign policy analysts regard him as a restrained and reasonable man who may not pull the trigger or respond promptly when Russia faces a preemptive attack that will inflict the strategic defeat on Moscow the West seeks?

No, he doesn’t. He still thinks that possessing a large cache of nuclear weapons will deter US aggression. But a large cache of nuclear weapons is no deterrent when your opponent is convinced you won’t use them.

Sometimes being reasonable is not the best way to fend off an adversary. Sometimes you have to be a little crazy.

That’s a lesson Putin needs to learn. Fast.

“Who” is doing this? The Kremlin keep’s saying, “the West.” But “the West” is actually representing Khodorkovsky and the Rothschilds and they are the moneybags behind the Talmudic Monster, which all along, for centuries and centuries, has been playing both sides against the middle to cause the goyim (everyone but them) to murder each other. This is what the Tribe does.

The thing about Putin & Co. is that they cannot admit this. A hundred billionaires like Khodorkovsky remain in Russian running things (loyally, the Kremlin hopes) and unlike Khodorkovsky are not trying to overthrow the liberal order in Russia. But Khodorkovsky (and the Rothschild heirs) are actually exercising real power through their control of “the West” and they outweigh the hundred “traitors.”

Close examination of what the talmudists actually say convinces fair enquirers that they will get their way (total domination of the goyim nations) or cause the death through nuclear war of everyone. They are that determined, for they believe they are executing the commands of a bloodthirsty Yahweh. Change the names and the same situation arises now in Gaza.

What to do, Ye of little faith? Satan is working like crazy through the Tamudic Monster to gain and keep mastery of Mankind, which was actually already accomplished in 1945 but got out of kilter when Putin & Co. realized that Khodorkovsky had (and has) a hidden agenda. We now face the (very risky) Zero Hour and the Great Decision–either God and Freedom or Satan and Enslavement:

If Putin is “genuinely mystified by the West’s behavior”, my questions is why is he so stupid? The West is controlled by the International Bankers (Rothschilds, Rockefellers, et al.) and these International Bankers need a WWIII to wreck the world so that they can take complete control. There is no ‘stupidity’ involved. All of this is calculation and desperation on the part of the International Bankers. They know that their plan can fail because of unexpected circumstances, but they don’t care because if they do not get WWIII, their plan for control WILL fail.

There is absolutely nothing Putin can do to prevent WWIII. He can only prepare to win it. All of his actions to date have been to delay it so that he has nore time to win it, both by building up Russia’s capability and allowing the U.S. economy to implode further.

As Nikola said it nicely [2]: Russian President Vladimir Putin is the king of empty threats.

Excerpt [2]: On May 22, Ukraine attacked a Russian strategic early warning radar site near the city of Armavir in southern Russia. The facility is part of Russia’s nuclear ballistic missile early warning system. Its primary function was to detect and track intercontinental ballistic missiles and to determine if Russia was under nuclear attack. The Kremlin turned a blind eye to the Ukrainian action.

Excerpt [2]: Just a few days later, following Putin’s visit to Minsk where he discussed with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko “security and exercises with tactical nuclear weapons”, Ukraine once again attacked a Russian strategic military facility. The Voronezh-M radar, located near the city of Orsk close to the Russian-Kazakh border – almost two thousand kilometers (1242 miles) from Ukraine – came under attack from a Ukrainian drone. Even though the radar is of strategic importance for Russia, providing long distance monitoring of airspace against ballistic missile attack and aircraft monitoring, the Russian media widely ignored the attack.

Why is NATO escalating the lost cause in Ukraine?

    1. NATO is controlled by the Jewish Bankster Mafia (the “globalist bankers” headquartered in the City of London and Wall Street).

    2. The guiding question is not, “Is it good for Americans and Europeans?” The guiding question is, “Is it good for the Jewish Bankster Mafia?”

    3. The JBM is losing on multiple fronts: Ukraine, Palestine, the colleges, the media. So they see their goal of ruling the world slipping away just as it seemed so close.

    4. The JBM would rather destroy the world in a nuclear Samson Option than have their quest for global rule decisively destroyed.

There is no point in trying to get President Blinken to change direction. Blinken and all the other “Neocon” servants of the JBM need to be disabled. The most effective way to do that, and stop the escalation, is to take out the Jewish Bankster Mafia, the head of the snake. That would mean targeting their banks in the City of London and Wall Street.

  7. Some speculate that NATO missiles like the British Storm Shadow easily operate because they are based in Romania, so the Russians can’t attack their bases. Ukrainian pilots fly to Romania where British airmen program, load, and arm these cruise missiles. Then these Ukrainian MIGs fly through Ukraine to launch the missiles, with perhaps a refueling stop. If Russians missiles hit an airbase in Romania, this will be confirmed. Same with the sea drones, they are probably launched from Romania and briefly enter Ukrainian waters en-route and guided by NATO aircraft over the Black Sea.

Why is President Putin behaving as a reasonable leader? It is because Mr Putin rightly sees Russia as part of the whole and he rightly thinks that Western leaders are crazies who will act regardless of the safety of their population. U.S. Senator, the Fascist Lindsey Graham justified attacking North Korea by saying that people (Koreans and Japanese) will die there not here in America. Recently, Graham called on Israel to turn Gaza into a Hiroshima-Nagasaki. . The majority of Western political leaders are just like Senator Graham, ignorant dirty Nazis. Let’s hope, President Putin’s recent clarification is heard by all those Western Fascistic leaders, including Biden, Graham, Macron, Trump, among others.

  14. More situational inversions and reversed causalities, a typical methodology of propaganda, juxtaposed with a more contextually objective and rational perspective; here are just two examples:

Do US and NATO leaders really think they can attack Russia with long-range missiles and Russia won’t respond?

However, this question is more pertinent:

    • Do Putin and his military advisors really think they can attack Ukraine with long-range missiles and Ukraine won’t respond?

Sometimes being reasonable is not the best way to fend off an adversary. Sometimes you have to be a little crazy.

Yet this assertion makes more sense:

    • Sometimes being crazy is not the best way to oppose an adversary. Sometimes you actually have to be somewhat reasonable.

  15. You work with what you have. BTW, the West is not talking about hitting Russian territory with nuclear weapons. It’s about conventional weapons. The goal is to keep the war conventional, but escalating by bringing the most powerful conventional weapons to Ukraine’s defence. Since, formally, Russia is the aggressor in a sovereign country, the U has to be provided with the means to defend itself against an enemy that outguns it by a ratio of more than 10:1. It’s about inflicting unacceptably big damage to Russia, and turning their Pyrrhic victory into a Pyrrhic defeat – a situation where they will be clear that they cannot win, can not achieve lasting peace with the current status quo, so the only option to stop being damaged would be to withdraw. It’s the Russians that are talking about using nuclear weapons. They’ve been doing this for years, e.g., erasing Poland off the map, etc. A more reasonable approach would be to use their most powerful conventional weapons against a decision-taking center, which one – take your pick. In reality, Russia is weaker than NATO on conventional level, what makes it stronger is their nuclear stock pile. But that’s the current situation, there’s a closing window for Russia, where their conventional weakness is going to increase to unacceptable levels, with the advent of high-tek and AI operated weapons. Which is going to take a couple of years, BUT, in the meantime Ukraine has to survive, somehow. So, the dilemma for the Russians is whether to strike now and hope that things are not going to go nuclear, or to wait for their enemy to act, and suffer even greater losses with time. Time is a very important factor here, because time=technology. That explains the nuclear threats, which are exactly what they are – just threats. They know that if nuclear war is to happen, even on a small scale, they LOSE.

  17. You say “Putin seems genuinely mystified by the West’s behavior.” The West’s behaviour is indeed mystifying given the extreme reckless lengths they (Blinen, Lindsey Graham, etc) are going around to provoke the Russians and the Chinese – and the Iranians – sometimes all of them all at once. That would be irrational. But consider the possibility that US has a super-weapon. They know only they have it, they also know the Russians and Chinese don’t. The Russians and the Chinese also know that – and the American know they know. What better deterrence for the next several decades than to use this weapon – at an appropriate manufactured instance – and ensure the message gets out as to who the big dog is?. This is not that far-fetched as one might think. In 2020, Trump (in his trademark pompous seemingly bloviated manner) said

“We have stuff that you haven’t even seen or heard about. We have stuff that Putin and Xi have never heard about before,” Trump said, referring to Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Xi Jinping of China. “There’s nobody. What we have is incredible.”

For years, there are rumours that the US has a trump-card ( no pun intended) of a weapon so far out there that it makes use of mere nukes moot. Yes, this is the stuff of unverified chatrooms but each piece of evidence seems to add credence. Here’s one from an albeit unverified “UAP” whistleblower:

It was a sort of open secret I was let in on at some point in the late 90s that if a large-scale invasion or threat to the mainland US were to materialize, the US had an “ultimate trump-card” of sorts that would render everything we were working on as completely obsolete. Jokes like “well, work smarter not harder on ‘x’ because if it were to come down to it, we wouldn’t use that technology anyway.” weren’t uncommon. ”

This is not isolated chin-rubbing either.

Yes. B/c Russian response has been limited to Ukraine so they think they get away with anything as long as there are Ukrainians doing the dying.

Do they really think their ridiculous propaganda can impact the outcome of a clash between two nuclear-armed superpowers?

    Again yes.

What are they thinking or ARE they thinking?

Like all psychopaths, the longer it takes you to stop them, the more they’ll think they’ll get away with anything. Until you stop them.

But perhaps clarity is what’s needed for people who do not understand the potential consequences of their actions.

What’s needed is that Russia detonate a nuke off the coast of a NATO country, for the whole of Europe to see what an actual atomic mushroom looks like. And one off New Zealand, where they all intend to run when shtf, to show the satanists that their bunkers are nowhere out of reach.

Sometimes being reasonable is not the best way to fend off an adversary. Sometimes you have to be a little crazy.

The West is controlled by professional politicians and their bosses. Such people have become accustomed to creating a fog of lies, distortions, and half-truths – as Socrates put it, making the worse appear the better case. (Ironically, those of whom he said that then had him executed for exactly the same thing, which shows that political methods have not changed in 2,400 years).

Just a few minutes ago I came across a lovely example at https://dailysceptic.org/2024/05/31/starmers-gb-energy-fantasy/. David Craig explains how Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the UK’s “Labour” Party (which doesn’t give a rat’s arse about working people) manages to claim that wind and solar power are cheaper than fossil fuels, when in fact they are much more expensive as well as less reliable. Here is the key passage:

“The Government’s first trick is to load energy from gas power stations with a supposed ‘carbon cost’ of £60/MWh. This ‘carbon cost’ is some kind of calculation which takes account of the amount of CO2 released when gas is burned to produce electricity. I’ve no idea where this supposed ‘carbon cost’ comes from or how it is calculated”.

In other words, they show that renewables are cheaper than fossil fuels by plucking a large number out of thin air and adding it to an other fairly objective calculation. Obviously, to any fair-minded person, or anyone who actually wants to know the true cost of electricity produced in various ways, that is completely unfair and renders the alleged results meaningless.

In much the same way, Western leaders have been claiming for years that they aren’t really attacking Russia or planning to break it up and loot it. No, they say, in fact it is the vile dictator Putin who wants to invade Western Europe! The miasma of habitual lies has gradually spread until now they are declaring that attacks on key targets throughout Russia by NATO weapons fired by NATO staff are merely defensive measures that, in any case, have nothing to do with NATO.

Far from having been invented by George Orwell, doublethink has always been a core human ability. It has long been understood that the most successful liars first con themselves into believing their own lies. (As Tony Blair did, perhaps, over Iraq). Perhaps the best way to combat such doublethink is with hard, undeniable facts. Maybe Mr Medvedev has a point when he suggests that the West needs to get a very painful bloody nose, just to show it the error of its ways and that while Western leaders can emit all the lies they wish, they do not alter reality.

  21. It is partly Putin’s fault that we have arrived at the current situation. Putin had permitted so many red lines to be crossed without reaction that the U.S. / NATO do not take his threats seriously and thus plan & act accordingly, bolder and crazier each time.
If Putin had been forceful from the beginning, dishing back like for like, the psychopathic Western bastards would be sulking and afraid to escalate.
For goodness sake, little Yemen has brought down many more U.S. drones than Russia has done.

  25. War between NATO and Russia is inevitable and hence the escalation. Russia has clearly demanded that NATO withdraws from countries in Eastern Europe that it has occupied since the end of the Cold War knowing well that NATO would refuse and prepare for war instead. Russia is prepared to take on all of NATO although when things get hot Hungary, Slovakia and some other NATO members (Italy, Greece …) could refuse to participate and even withdraw from NATO. On paper NATO looks a lot stronger but when the fighting starts we’ll see if NATO is not just a pepper tiger. NATO’s experience of war is fighting against small weaker Third World countries, while Russia decided to take on the strongest and biggest country in Europe, the Ukraine, for its practice. Make no mistake, this war is coming.

  26. It has been obvious since March 2022, when Nato once again stabbed Russia in the back after Russia withdrew her troops from Kiev and Kharkov during the Turkish peace negotiations, that this strategy of escalation was not going to end until Russia capitulates. Biden, Trump, Stoltenberg, Johnson, VD Leyen, even Sanna Marin, Annalena Baerbock and Kaja Kallas from Estonia have repeatedly stated that “Putin cannot be allowed to win”.

The constant provocation and escalation will continue even after Russian troops march into Lvov. Even then Nato will set up a puppet “Ukrainian government in exile”, quite possibly with Zelensky in charge.

Certainly Putin and Xi and their military and spy services have discussed this in detail and the Chinese have placed certain limits on Putin’s freedom of action. The Chinese are very patient, and they have most certainly war gamed out this confrontation. Putin simply cannot go for the Nato jugular even if he wanted to.

I think Putin should declare rump Ukraine to be two countries, Novo Russia and Gallicia and then set up a “Novo Russia” government in exile and turn this into war of liberation of ethnic Russians. Putin could thereby start putting pressure on Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania by calling some kind “Baltic States Ethnic Russian Congress” where some of the agenda items would relate to setting up governments in exile. Russia could also start talking about their slavic brother Serbia.

The real losers here are the “Ukrainians”, whose country will become uninhabitable from all the DU and other heavy metals strewn all over. For this reason alone Putin must change his strategy and start making Nato members pay a price for their wanton and selfish destruction and genocide of “Ukrainians” and of “Ukraine”.

  45. What does this group, which wants to drive Russia up the wall with nuclear weapons, hope to gain?
Does Russia pose a threat to their way of life or their self-image? If the self-image of a group includes superiority over other populations or states, then any spiritual or material independence in the world poses a threat to this self-image. The question arises as to why this group feels superior to other populations or states. Is the reason an exclusive religion or membership of a particular tribe? Does the superiority of the spirit of this group consist merely in the limitation of the spirit to a power relationship and is its background the envy of a free, sovereign humanity?
Follow-up question: How does such a group come to dispose of the resources of the general public, i.e. state resources?

  46. They have set up a trap for Russia.

They will keep pushing Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia.

If Russia responds within Ukraine, the West will be happy. Ukraine itself has less to lose than Russia, so it can take a few hits. And the escalation will keep going on, with strikes inside Russia. This is the Ukraine trap for Russia.

If Russia responds outside Ukraine by hitting a NATO country, NATO will then claim it has been attacked by Russia and has the right of self-defense. Then a real war will begin and NATO and Russia will be at war. This is the NATO trap. Russia will be blamed for starting the hostilities, after all giving arms to Ukraine that can hit Russia is not a direct aggression by NATO towards Russia. If Russia responds in NATO territory, it would be as if Israel attacked Iran because Houthis hit them with missiles.

It seems NATO countries are preparing for the scenario in which Russia will attack a NATO country. It is likely the first NATO response will be to take the Kaliningrad enclave and see what Russia does.

Engaging all NATO countries at once is not a good option for Russia, unless it wants an all out nuclear war. NATO countries can overwhelm Russia given Ukraine alone has been able to hold its ground.

So, while the West prepares for a possible attack on NATO, they will expect Putin to limit the war to Ukraine, and so they will keep escalating until … what exactly? I doubt Russia will nuke Kiev. So will they use tactical nukes to destroy a lot valuable targets within Ukraine? But the US has threatened to use nukes against Russia should Russia use nukes against Ukraine, if I am not mistaken. Is the West bluffing? Possibly.

So, if Putin wants to escalate big time, his best option would be to use tactical nukes to completely destroy big targets that would require hundred of regular bombs. Because Ukrainian troops are dispersed, tactical nukes would be overkill to try to kill troops. What exactly does Ukraine have that tactical nukes would destroy and would strike a devastating blow to Ukraine?
    Factories? Airfields?

I don’t see too many good options for Putin. But I am not a military expert, so I could be totally wrong.

For years, there are rumours that the US has a trump-card ( no pun intended) of a weapon so far out there that it makes use of mere nukes moot.

Frankly, this is garbage. For a start, the US military-industrial-intelligence complex is so thoroughly infiltrated by China, Russia, Israel etc etc that there is zero possibility that something like this could be hidden.

Now, try to think logically instead of regurgitating internet “rumours”. What could this “super-weapon” possibly be? Is it going to destroy or otherwise disable all of the Russian and Chinese submarine-based deterrent? While leaving the West’s subs still functioning? Obviously, there is no such weapon.

Is it going to be an explosion 10 times bigger than the largest current nukes? 100 times bigger? More nonsense. An explosion large enough to take out a continent-sized country like Russia would throw so much crap in to the stratosphere that we would all freeze to death – it would almost certainly affect our orbital path as well, with who knows what consequences? Same arguments apply to artificially-generated earthquakes.

What else have we got? A bio-engineered plague which can discriminate between races/nationalities? Probably the most feasible option, but the logistics of manufacture/distribution/infection would seem to rule it out. Unless the operation was somehow disguised, that is, perhaps as a global vaccination effort?

In a nuclear attack and response, by either side, no one will care what the PR says. Why does opinion matter?

Putin can do whatever he needs to do. He knows that. Russian military behavior (tactics or strategy, I don’t know which) appears to prefer waiting until the last option is reached. They burned Moscow to stop Napolean. They allowed Hitler to ravage and control most of its western buffer zone before digging in and fighting to the death.

What’s Putin’s final option? That’s the only question. The girly giggly D.C. geopolitical “experts” seem to want to find out. They can’t control themselves, like a pack of teenage girls who can’t stop taunting their victims until the victim chases them off.

    Utter crap.

Even before Russia invaded, a Republican US senator on the armed services committee (I forget his name and the exact name of the committee as it’s a couple of years ago) spoke about raining “death and destruction” – his words, on Russian forces in the build-up areas within Russia. He also stated that this should, if necessary, “include nuclear weapons.”

Lest you dismiss this as just some political nobody sounding off – he was apparently the 2nd most senior member of this very relevant committee.

The Russians have responded with warnings in kind. They know full well that in a conventional war they are no match for NATO.

A border dispute between 2 Slavic countries and the desire for Ukraine to not join NATO should not be reason for a potential calamitous world war.

But the West is spiritually rotten and utterly decadent – so no surprise the utter lack of judgment on their part.

Furthermore, something that is just so utterly obvious, is that but for Western interference this war could have been – should have been – over with within 2 months max from it’s beginning.

The West doesn’t care about Ukraine at all, or it’s citizens, but is just trying to damage Russia and it’s current regime.
When the dust settles, Ukraine will be far, far worse off than it could have been a couple of years ago had not the Zelensky pimp reneged on what was essentially a done deal between Russia and Ukraine.

And Jews have been doing this all along by themselves? Jews are not now working with and for all the long term goals of the Wealthy Anglo-Saxon Protestant empire?

You cannot ever hope to make a real dent in the problem if you cannot see the obvious Alpine in front of you: WASP imperialism. And seeing that fully requires you to discern that Anglo-Saxon Puritanism was a Judaizing heresy, which has continued to produce evil fruit after its kind, including all those ‘British Israelites’ groups that just keep on a driving.

It is a given that if Judaiziung heretics are not stopped dead in their track san they not only gain total control over. action but then begin to forge an empire that Jewish financiers will be ever available to aid them. And at some point those Jews will become partners: in this case, Anglo-Zionism is the main fruit. You cannot resist Anglo-Zionist empire if all your focus is on Jews. If, for example, you believe that the Austro-Hungarian empire is evil and must be stopped and all your focus is on those awful Huns because they are not Indo-European linguistically, then your efforts to oppose the Austro-Hungarian empire will fail over and over because not only do you naively assume that that in opposing only half (Hun) of the named pair you can win because you blame it all on that one, but you miss the fact that the original and much larger one of that two-group named empire (Austro) is being given a pass by you.

Fully opposing things imperial WASP means becoming either Traditional Latin Mass Catholic or catholic-sensibility Eastern Orthodox. You must forge a new identity not birthed out of Judaizing Anglo-Saxon reformation.

My thoughts precisely. Putin is supposed to view Syria as an ally, but he has ignored repetitive occurrences of the Israelis violating Syrian air space and dropping bombs on Syrian soil, which has resulted in countless deaths of Syrians. I also recall at least one Israeli bombing attack that killed a number of Russian military advisers, and yet Putin didn’t lift a finger to put a stop to this unprovoked Israeli aggression.

I do remember that Putin gave a few of the Russian S-300 (or maybe S-400) air defense systems to Syria, but those did not seem to help very much – as it seemed that he had shared the IFF codes with Israel, so when their fighter aircraft entered Syrian air space, they were squawking a ‘friendly’ code, which prevented the air defense systems from blowing their evil asses out of the sky.

Judge not by what a man says but by his deeds in perilous times. The most honorable and principled man I ever met, in a truly dangerous situation to himself, was a Jew.

So let us look at History, Who was behind killing so many Irish and Indians through famine, who wiped out the Native Americans, who slaughtered South Americans for their gold? Who slaughterd countless Africans and savegely exploited their bodies and souls, till this day?
Now, who made a deal with Hitler to evict 400,000 European Jews to Palestine to maintain the trade routes and to keep the Arabs poor and divided through nationalism?
In each case, they are the same collection of satanists. Do your homework, I have given you the data points.

This pattern usually starts with trash talk, but can escalate immediately from talk to use of handguns (as Steve Sailor has pointed out).

Given an pre-existing animosity, the pattern can skip the trash talk first step and escalate to use of automatic weapons (assault rifles on full auto), with primary intent being to make noise and frighten, since the fire is from medium range and the rifle’s sights are not ordinarily used.

IMHO, Obama is ordering small attacks against Putin, who he would regard as an American liberal. Obama has overcome very many US liberals, and would expect that Putin would at some point give up as do the US liberals.

Putin has several “superweapons” that he spent several decades developing, and that the West cannot match without several decades work: https://www.twz.com/18906/heres-the-six-super-weapons-putin-unveiled-during-fiery-address . The plutonium cruise missile apparently wasn’t quite ready for deployment, and the Satan ICBM might be destroyed by a first strike on the Russian Federation, so maybe three of the superweapons are now operational and at least one would survive a first strike by NATO/US.

    To quote Putin:

“No one has listened to us,” Putin declared. “You listen to us now.”

But nobody has, and Obama thinks he’s up against the Whites he has so far soundly defeated. He likely thinks he has defeated even Trump now.

So what is the outcome of this strategic game?

We also have to consider the reward matrix: Russian Federation is “RF”, United States is “US”, Ukraine is “U”

    NATO Escalation
    Y N
    #———–#————–#
    Y # WW 3 # NATO & #
    # risk # US ends #
    RF Escalation #———–#—————#
    # RF # RF #
    N # wins # wins #
    # U/RF, # U/RF #
    # US loss # US wash #
    #———–#—————#

Here’s a legend for the above, format: (US escalation, RF escalation):
(y,y) Both sides escalate. Either RF or US backs down, or we get WW II and Europe and US are very badly damaged, Russian Federation (RF) badly damaged. Politicians in all states are rejected by surviving population.
(y,n) NATO and the US are discredited by their risking WW III, Russia wins U/RF
(n,y) RF wins U/RF conflict, Europe stunned by re-introduction of mechanized war to European soil.
(n,n) RF wins U/RF conflict by conventional force, Europe remains suzerainty of suzerain US for a while longer by containing loss to Ukraine.

(y,n) is a bit weak, and might take a year to a decade to actually occur.

Note that (y,y) gives a chance of mid-term US/Obama coalition survival at the risk of WWIII. That is, Obama continues to escalate until either Putin starts escalating enough for Obama to blame him for escalation. Obama then continues to escalate until Putin either drops out of the contest or WW III starts. (y,y) is, IMHO, the only chance that the Black coalition and Obama have of even mid-term survival.

(n,n) would give the US a bit longer as suzerain, but would be unacceptable to Obama in that he would, personally, have lost. In African civilization, a Chief that loses a fight is replaced by a rival (“honor culture” is the closest Western equivalent). Obama cannot, for cultural reasons and from his experience, accept being replaced. The transparent lawfare and covert ops against Trump & his political organization (1/6) shows that Obama and his coalition are willing to take large chances of being rejected by the US polity.

So, it looks like it’s (y,y).

Obama is apt to panic when he sees he is about to lose for the first time in his life. Panic is part of the drowning man syndrome that occurs when the man realizes that he is in “over his head”, can’t swim, and is about to die. So Obama may simply abandon escalation if European governments withdraw from the US suzerainty on the grounds that the US is suzerain conditionally on a 1945 promise to the Western Europeans of (a) no more mechanized war in Europe, (b) moderate prosperity, (c) no nuclear war. The US (US/U conflict) done broke the Hell out of (a) and (b), and risking (c) might be a break too far.

I’ve been accused by some of being a bit bloody minded, so the above might be just a shade pessimistic. The defection of European countries in the US suzerainty from the US suzerain may take longer than I anticipate above, although such things are suddenly occurring “avalanches” in self organizing complexity terminology, and there are signs that the European populations are just as sick of the EU as the US population is of the Uniparty.

  70. Rather than talking to current Western leadership about the risks they are taking, Putin should take his message to the masses and ask them if they are content to be led to slaughter. What seems to be missed by too many is the fact that there is “strength in numbers” whether it is battling corporate interests (ask Disney) or deranged self interested politicos. America is now behaving exactly as the Jewish tribe has behaved for centuries, hatching clever plans in the shadows while fomenting anger and hatred everywhere with the intention of weakening all so as to retain control. The only defence in this situation is a strong and committed offence. When everyone (drivers, personal chefs, hair stylists etc.) in the general population becomes a potential assassin of those seen to be doing the fomenting whoever they may be, being elite will cease to be fun, getting together in Davos will simply no longer work and the fomenting will diminish. This fight must be removed from the front page and taken on a highly targeted basis to the streets of Washington, Paris, London where those perpetrating these real crimes against humanity walk free today. No decent person would ask for this of course, but we were not asked.

  71. Excellent informative. analysis Mike. I fully agree with your conclusion. Back in 2022, while Putin was starting the SMO, I was aware as many others that the real adversary of Putin was living in Washington. However there was no proof strong enough back then to justify a full size nuclear attack against the sources of power in the US.

However, i think we now have enough evidence of who are the leaders. We can feel the urgency for Putin to start attfiting the US submarine fleet while striking the US at home. There is no need for endless fighting in Ukraine, in Europe or in Taiwan. Just remove the Queen from Washington.

I ask myself, after seeing in Gaza the levels of horror the good itizens of the West can live with without losing sleep, how much more horror they can sustain when that happens in their own neighbourhood. If you are right, Russia and China won’t survive unless they directly confront the bullies in their homeland. The tricky part is that the blow has to be quick and decisive.

  72. @Tucker

The Russia air-defense systems in Syria are meant to protect the Russia naval base in Syria.

The Russians are in Syria for the naval base, after securing Assad’s position sufficiently with Iran’s help to secure their base.

One can say they are in competition with Iran in Syria. Russians don’t want Iranians to establish secure strongholds which could threaten their future, possibly. In addition, they don’t want to get involved directly in the fights between Israel and Arabs.

I don’t know if they gave an S-300 to Syria, or if it is only intended to protect the Russian base.

Anyhow, if Syria has S-300, the moment they use it, Israel will destroy the radar and batteries, and Russia will look bad.

The US ATACMS has been decimating the S-400 batteries in Russia, lately.

Besides I believe Assad is spineless. Even if Russia allowed him to use the S-300 he probably would be too afraid to use it.

Has Assad dared to strike Israeli positions in the Golan Heights since October 7? No, only Hezbollah did.

The best Assad can do is allow arms transfer to Hezbollah.

He is not the exception. Not a single Arab state has taken any direct steps against Israel. Not one. Not Iraqi army. Not Syrian army. Not Lebanese army. Only non-state actors have engaged Israel.

Only state that engaged Israel directly is Iran, and that was just a one-time occurrence.

  73. Ron Unz says:

Well, I don’t have any military expertise and only a fool would take my advice, but here’s my own two cents.

    (1) It’s important that the Russians substantially retaliate against any deep strikes by NATO-supplied missiles but do so in a minimally-risky but maximally-effective manner. For example, any use of tactical nuclear weapons might have disastrous consequences, and since Russia has already been bombarding Ukraine with endless missile strikes, a few more wouldn’t be sufficient as a deterrent.

    (2) From everything I’ve read, Russia’s very powerful suite of hypersonic missiles is effectively unstoppable by any American/NATO defensive system and gives it full escalation-dominance in conventional weapons, especially since America has repeatedly failed to develope its own. But it’s important to make the idiots running America and NATO fully aware of this reality.

    (3) America’s global power projection relies upon its carrier fleet, whose military credibility supports the inflated US dollar. If that military credibility were lost, the dollar would probably collapse, taking down with it our worthless American political regime, much like the Russian defeat by Japan cased the collapse of the Czarist regime in 1905.

    (4) From everything I’ve read, our carriers are sitting ducks for Russian missiles, especially of the hypersonic variety, which would easily send all of them to the bottom of the ocean. Since NATO supplied missiles have sunk a number of ships in the Russian Black Sea fleet, turn-about is fair play. But actually sinking those American carriers would kill many thousands or tens of thousands of American servicemen, perhaps leading to a nuclear response by our crazy government, so it’s not a good idea to take that risk.

    (5) Instead, suppose Russia responds to a deep-strike by NATO missiles in a different manner. After publicly emphasizing that those missiles were supplied, targetted, and controlled by NATO personnel, the Russians could say they will therefore retaliate against NATO by destroying the NATO headquarters in Brussel, saying that the attack will occur at 12 Noon in two days’ time. That would allow NATO to completely evacuate the building and those nearby while also having plenty of time to deploy a large number of their best defensive systems. Therefore, when the multi-missile strike still succeeds and totally levels the building, it would inflict few if any human casualties while demonstrating that the Russian hypersonics are unstoppable.

    (6) The Russians would then announce that their next strikes would be to sink several of our carriers. With any luck, America would be deterred and NATO would collapse, given that it cannot effectively defend itself from Russian attacks. Maybe the American political regime would also collapse.

Maps exist that depict a fragmented Russia, broken into several small countries, “so it could never again be a threat to the rest of the world…Until Moscow’s empire is toppled, though, the region—and the world—will not be safe…” (as quoted by M. Whitney in an Unz article from a year and a half ago).

Russia is fighting for its very survival, and Putin knows that NATO is already at war with his country. Why doesn’t he declare war and make it legal for the Russian military to defend itself? It’s like when Germany invaded Poland and obtained access to the archives of the foreign ministry, showing that America was already at war with Germany. The declaration of war on America in December of 1941 merely acknowledged a state of war that already existed and gave the German armed forces the legal right to fight back.

By avoiding escalation and direct confrontation, Putin may be hoping that economic consequences in the West topple pro-war politicians. The West is hemorrhaging money to support this proxy war, which could lead to regime change. In the meantime, Russia is meeting with potential allies and the US is absent from this dialogue, so a multi-polar world already being built.

Putin’s patience is remarkable, considering the West has stated its intention to destroy Russia. It’s like that old saying. If you try and kill someone, you’d better be successful the first time

Putin had permitted so many red lines to be crossed without reaction that the U.S. / NATO do not take his threats seriously and thus plan & act accordingly, bolder and crazier each time.

The West crossed a big red line and Putin invaded the Ukraines, taking so far the best 20% of its territory and people, and still advancing and taking more, while about half a million Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, according to reasonable estimates, and large amounts of military material, including large stocks of Western weapons, have been destroyed. What more do you want? Missiles falling over Europe and the USA?

And NATO’s response has been loud but timid, staying out of the fight, merely unleashing uneffective sanctions and providing Western Treasure, Western weapons, and cheerleading to the Ukrainian proxy. Quite restrained considering they are losing a large country they thought they had in the bag and that according to statements by the Jewish comedian in February 2002 was not only to join NATO but also to have nukes. Putin and his team stopped all that.

It clears up a lot of confusion when you understand that the United States empire is not a national government which happens to run nonstop military operations, it is a nonstop military operation that happens to run a national government.

The wars are not designed to serve the interests of the United States, the United States is designed to serve the interests of the wars. The United States as a country is just a source of funding, personnel, resources and diplomatic cover for a nonstop campaign to dominate the planet with mass military violence and the threat thereof.

This campaign is not waged to benefit the American people or their security, but to benefit the loose international alliance of plutocrats and unelected empire managers whose wealth and power are premised on the world order of continuous violence, exploitation and extraction which the campaign of global domination upholds. This campaign of global domination and its manifestations as a whole may be referred to as the United States empire, which has very little in common with the United States as an individual nation.

Until you understand this, nothing the United States government or the United States war machine does will make sense. You will not understand why military operations are being waged which do not seem to benefit the American people in any way, and which if anything actually harm the national security interests of the United States.

Well, if NATO weapons are used in a deep-strike against Russian territory, there’s obviously a fine line between Russian retaliation that’s sufficiently strong to deter such NATO attacks and is so strong as to risk nuclear war.

Although my proposal would maximize NATO humiliation it would minimize NATO casualties and I think that’s less likely to lead to an all-out Russia-NATO war than hitting a major base in Poland or Germany. It also would demonstrate that Russia has conventional escalation-dominance and could easily sink our carriers, which might finally bring our military and government leaders to their senses.

What would be your own alternate proposal for how Russia should respond to a deep-strike that kills numerous Russian military personnel and perhaps destroys a Russian base deep within Russia?

Russia could also do exactly the same thing to the train stations in Lvov and/or Kiev, and they could do it with a tactical nuke.

This would blow away the nuclear taboo and get the attention of the west’s elites while not escalating the war into a direct attack on Nato.

I also think that a plausibly deniable attack on the Chunnel would get someone’s attention. Russia certainly has a stand off torpedo that would accomplish the task. Nato already started their own secret war on Russian infrastructure with their sabotage of Nord Stream. Russia still owes Nato a heavy responce for that sabotage.

I disagree. I think that as long as attacks against Russia come from the Ukraines, even with long range Western weapons, Russia will keep destroying the Ukrainian military in the Ukraines. There would be a retaliation for, say ATACMs or Taurus missiles fired to targets deep inside Russia, but said retaliation would be by hitting targets deep inside the Ukraines, and without warning, just striking hard where it hurts the most, which I gues it is targets in Western Ukraine and Kyev.

A very humane solution, but just as it may be, the warning would be selectively ignored to ensure a certain death toll, then media-generated outrage.

The I.R.A. would sometimes but not always inform British authorities of bombs, even having set up a mutual system of code-words for authentication.

At least in a few cases of forewarning, the British security forces and polity intentionally ignored the warnings so as to generate outrage by allowing deaths of common people.

Well, Mr. Unz admits he is no military expert and neither are we.

But it is obvious that announcing a strike against NATO headquarters would leave Russia open to mistake and/or failure–NATO could perhaps (1) shoot down the incoming and (2) Russia’s missile might miss or fail as a dud. The embarrassment would hugely harmful to Russia geopolitically.

Whereas, if Russia announced (see our comment above at #87) a mid-ocean demonstration nuclear blast (since Americans and Europeans evidently forgot their reading of ‘Hiroshima’), any failed demonstration bomb or delivery attempt could be followed by another that would in fact explode as intended. No one would know the details except the Russians, so they wouldn’t give away any secrets.

Although the missiles are supplied by NATO they are fired from the territory of Ukraine (to our knowledge). Thus the bases they are fired from are targets for retaliation. On-site NATO personnel are in danger of being killed and who knows how many may have been already. So far they’ve been careful to keep things confined within Ukraine. The understanding is to keep it that way. Should missiles be fired from outside Ukraine then that opens that country’s bases up for attack, something everyone knows opens up a Pandora’s box. The Russians supplied MIG fighter planes and pilots to the N Koreans during the Korean war and engaged the Americans directly yet things didn’t bleed over onto other territories. Likewise the USSR-Warsaw Pact countries supplied anti-aircraft and other weaponry to the N Vietnamese yet US military activity stayed confined to the general area.

“As we know, the entire West has latched onto this most ‘pressing’ issue of striking Russian territory. But I’m here to tell you: the entire thing is a giant mirage, a facade, a red herring.
First of all: Ukraine has obviously already been striking Russian territory unabatingly with a variety of weapons like the AGM-88 Harms in Belgorod, etc. Secondly, there is no real particularly exceptional damage it can do with such strikes because most Russian supply lines are along the eastern front, which is by far the largest current front—not in the north where Zelensky is currently focusing. The Kharkov operation is just a minor diversionary one for now. But the majority of the eastern rear lines, C2/3 nodes, etc., are far out of range of any possible weapon Ukraine has, including ATACMS………………
Thus, the entire thing is a sham, a totally artificial narrative created under the false guise of needing to hit Russian rear lines. In reality, the actual truth entirely revolves around needing to escalate the conflict to save the AFU…….”

I don’t see too many good options for Putin. But I am not a military expert, so I could be totally wrong.

That is the problem if we keep pushing him. If Putin gets to the realization that NATO warmongers are determined to destroy him and his country, there is no reason for him not to launch all out nuclear missile attacks on the West. This is the insanity of what our Jew controlled government is doing.

  103. What Whitney seems to be advocating with the title of this article (“Putin Needs to be a Little Crazier”) is for Putin to apply the “Madman Theory” of foreign policy. The Jews, however, have already convinced the whole West that Putin has been using this theory. There is a whole section on Putin in the Wikipedia page on “Madman Theory” and here is a small excerpt:

Gideon Rachman argued in the Financial Times that Putin’s … plans of nuclear weapons exercises … could have been the use of madman strategy. … Paul Taylor of Politico also speculated that Putin was using the madman strategy…”.

But it gets even worse than that: after convincing that Putin is using this madman strategy, the Jew media is now arguing that he is an outright madman — no “theory” involved. Here are a few headlines:

The Telegraph: Putin is not the only evil madman in Russia
    Daily Express: Putin branded ‘madman’
MSN: “Only a madman like Putin is capable of …”
The Independent: Putin a ‘madman’ for starting ‘stupid war’…
The Times of Israel: US envoy to Israel calls Putin a ‘madman’
Vanity Fair: Putin, a Madman With Nuclear Weapons…
Radio Free Europe: Madman’s Dream’: On Putin’s Dangerous
The Hill Times: Putin: junkie madman?
Washington Post: Is Putin unstable? Is Putin crazy?
The Sun: Madman Vladimir Putin ‘not joking’ about nuclear war
The Guardian: questions over Putin’s ‘sense of reality’
Daily Express: ‘Madman’ mask slips as Putin reveals extraordinary nuclear threats

So the Jews are now calling Putin a full-fledged “madman” — which is nothing but sheer projection, of course, for we all know it is the Jews who are completely nuts. So there is really no point in Putin acting “a little crazier”, as Whitney suggests: no matter what Putin does, the Jews are hellbent on starting a nuclear war in which billions will die, among which many millions (6?) of Jews. Why?

The top Jews are simply hastening or “summoning” their long-anticipated Messiah in order to “immanentize the eschaton” (as Voegelin said): for the Messiah to arrive, the Jews must first prepare a great burnt offering — a nuclear Holocaust. The Jews are now making calculations for a first strike on Russia, knowing full well that Russia will retaliate. But that’s exactly what the Jews want! A Russian nuclear retaliation will mean that their global burnt offering will be that much more pleasing to their “god” — Satan.

This will be a sacrifice of Biblical proportions, a ritualistic offering of billions of lives, and the Jews deem this new Holocaust, the Real Holocaust, to be absolutely necessary for the Messiah to arrive. Surely, then, with this Ultimate Oblation, the Messiah will come, think the Messianic Jews. What more could He want? Surely the Coming of the Messiah is at hand! And finally, the Jews think, finally the arrival of their Messiah will usher in the era of Pax Judaica, otherwise known as the Jew Reign of Terror.

  106. @Unbornawakened

It is likely the first NATO response will be to take the Kaliningrad enclave and see what Russia does.

Putin knows that Russia is illegally occupying the Königsberg / Kaliningrad region, from which it has been threatening Europe with nuclear-capable Iskander missiles since 2018, and that it could be taken over militarily by NATO forces in a concerted surprise attack within less than a couple of days. It would be a smart move for him to finally offer to relinquish this territory in the context of a final settlement ending hostilities in Ukraine. I suspect that if he had offered this in 2014, as an exchange for being allowed to keep Crimea, NATO would have accepted such a deal as a fair solution.

However, as we have seen, Putin continues to be in an irrational megalomaniac mode, even though it is obvious to any military observer that he had grossly miscalculated in his presumption of taking over Ukraine two years ago through a quick military coup in Kiev. In any case, the notion of Ukraine being “neutral” (essentially poorly defended) in the future is unrealistic because such a status would be too enticing for Russia not to take advantage of in the future. Ultimately, there will likely have to be a demilitarized zone, strictly enforced, within Russian territory along the region bordering Ukraine.

  107. The long-range precision weapons are manned by experts or contractors from the country of origin

There is no reason to assume that is the case.

Weapons like ATACMS and HIMARS are set and forget. Meaning punch in the coordinates and then shut it down. The machine does the calculations.

From what I have read it takes about 2 weeks for them to learn HIMARS.

It is possible that French soldiers are being used in artillery units. That is an area where they would benefit from immediate expertise.

There will also most likely be NATO country soldiers that volunteer to fly in F-16s. I remember a military saying that every soldier normally only gets one chance at war. Meaning to get their full strips they have to fight in the war that is available. Fighter pilots want the prestige of having been in combat. Same for special forces.

“There is absolutely nothing Putin can do to prevent WWIII.”

I so disagree. It’s never too late until the nukes start falling. If Trump’s will had been stronger than that of Washington’s deep state, he might have nipped all this talk of nuclear war in the bud. Now, on the campaign trail, he’s saying that, IF elected, he could stop the Ukraine war in 24 hours, which is just pablum to his base. But, IF given the time, and not undermined by disgusting Hillary and her sycophants with the Russiagate scam, he had a fighting chance to forge good relations with Russia in his first term.

Unlike the sick ghoul illicitly occupying the WH, Trump believes in talking to the enemy, which Biden never does, and has no capacity for. IF allowed to assume the presidency again (a BIG IF), and IF he picks the right team of advisors (Col. McGregor would be a great start), this dying empire still has a fighting chance to save itself and the world from oblivion.

To believe that WWIII is inevitable is to give in to despair. Those trying to jail Trump for some old insignificant misdemeanors must have a death wish. Since a large percentage of Biden’s advisors are either Zionist Jews or Dispensationalists, that could explain their determination to march their subjects off the cliff, like a bunch of lemmings. Trump, a deeply flawed man to be sure, is our only hope – that is, if the clueless Biden Regime doesn’t provoke Russia into nuclear war before he assumes office. 111. The United States has a theory of a ‘preventive strike’…Now they are developing a system for a ‘disarming strike’. What does that mean? It means striking at control centres with modern high-tech weapons to destroy the opponent’s ability to counterattack.

The US, Britain and France have separate policies and you did not note that in your post. They are all in NATO but not part of a military hierarchy where someone at the top makes all the decisions.

The US policy change does not allow for strikes on Moscow.

Ukraine has been given permission to strike targets across the border but not deep into Russia with weapons like ATACMS. The main purpose is to allow them to attack a hostile force that sits across the border and attacks Ukrainian targets. Or a force that builds on the border without any concern of being hit.

I think that is fair. I don’t see why Ukraine has to play by Putin’s arbitrary rules of war. It would be like Napolean saying that you can’t use artillery on high ground. Only he can do that.

And does he realize that if the US implements its first-strike policy Russia may not have the time to retaliate?

That is not possible due to the submarines.

Both sides are able to take direct strikes to their command centers and then retaliate. That has been true since the 1970s and is in part why the internet exists.

This is also why Putin’s talk of “nukes on the border” was a load of bullshit. NATO no longer builds nuke towers. A single Trident class sub can take out most of the Russian population. Russia of course has their own equivalent.

I would not rely on Putin or Medvedev for military analysis. This war started with Putin swearing it was a military training exercise and had Lavrov rant at the UN for making such accusations.

Putin can avoid nuclear war by going back to his borders and admitting that the 2.5 week special military operation was a bad idea.

I don’t think Russia is very worried about the threat. Every now and then a few drones go deep and cause minor damage. None of the weapons supplied to Ukraine so far has lived up to the hype. So the West makes some noise so the sheep think something has changed. The F-16s and Taurus cruise missiles are the last two wonder weapons left. Not very Impressive.

If they get lucky, I think Russia would take out some ISR capabilities. Maybe shoot down an AWACS or disable some satellites. The US is totally dependent on satellites, way more than Russia is.

From everything I’ve read, our carriers are sitting ducks for Russian missiles, especially of the hypersonic variety, which would easily send all of them to the bottom of the ocean.

If I’m writing a new Tom Clancy novel, my fictional strategy for Russia, would be leasing the Houthis from Iran for a little while (plausible deniability). I’d send in my contractors to soup up the Houthis drones and anti-ship missiles abit, stockpile as many as possible, hopefully 300 or more. The warheads on those missiles will not sink a U.S. aircraft carrier however with Russian satellite targeting and drone/missile mass swarm (overwhelming the finite defensive missiles in the carrier battle group) could damage the carrier significantly enough to force it back to the U.S. for repairs. A carrier is no good if it can’t arm, launch or recover aircraft. Having to go back to port would show the venerability of aircraft carriers and over time expose our lack of ship yards and skilled workers to repair it

Ron, the problem is that any NATO-Russia war risks inevitably turning into a global nuclear war. NATO would rather use nuclear weapons than lose. Russia would rather use nuclear weapons than lose.
You’ve seen how feasible it is to end a war with NATO in a negotiatiated settlement. The idiots running NATO think they can always win, and by the time it becomes obvious that they will lose they will go for the nuclear option.
Once a NATO-Russia war starts, it’s unclear how does it not end in nuclear mutually assured destruction. NATO leadership is incapable of avoiding such an outcome.
Russia’s only reasonable response to NATO provocations is a strike that would leave NATO the option to not escalate in turn. It could be something covert, giving Russia plausible deniability, or it could be a strike via proxy, or a strike that NATO won’t bother to go to war over (some worthless minor target). Any strike that guarantees a strong NATO response means things will only escalate and spiral out of control from there and it all ends in a global nuclear war.

The real struggle is between Russia/Putin and ZOG/Netanyahu.

Putin is afraid to outright declare open hostilities with the Jews. But the Jews are waging war on Russia and Putin. This is Putin’s real dilemma. Both Hitler and Napoleon made the mistake of invading Russia, but their bigger mistake was in defying Judaism.

The longer Putin waits, the more time that passes before Putin puts Russia and Russians above Jews and Judea. Putin is afraid to bite the Jewish hand that has fed him, but the longer he waits the bigger the stakes.

To what extent does Russia’s Orthodox Christian faith influence its decision making?

A lot. It’s a crucial element. Putin has made it a central aspect of his presidency: he makes it a point to be seen in church and with patriarch Kirill, for example. Both the political and religious authorities have a shared vision — and it is eschatological. The Russians know that they have to fight fire with fire: if the Jews can play around with “end times”-level chaos, so can they. The Russians know full well what they’re up against: satanic Jews. Here is a quote from an interesting article (original in French):

This sheds new light on the Russia-West war, and it cannot be dismissed that this eschatological mission influences, at least partially, the decisions of a part of the Russian establishment; it also explains the total support of Patriarch Kirill for Vladimir Putin in this war because, beyond the traditional harmony between the patriarchate and imperial power, it can be estimated that it draws its roots from the same eschatological vision.

Because, unlike secularized nations, Dugin emphasizes, ‘there is a close link between the national and state factors with the eschatological and metaphysical truth of the Orthodox faith.’”

And he adds (perhaps a bit exaggeratedly): ‘The seal of the Third Rome is in the soul of every Russian.’
    https://legrandreveil.wordpress.com/2022/06/16/lenigme-poutine/

Many commenters and writers here on TUR are loath to explore the eschatological level of analysis, which is a shame: without it, they’re missing the most important part of the picture. This is especially true when analyzing the Jew-ruled West’s Satanic War of Aggression against Russia. Whether or not Putin “really believes” or “has faith” is besides the point: what he and his top leadership are well aware of is that his main enemies — the top Jews and Christian Zionist lapdogs — believe in “the end times”. So the Russians have to take that into consideration when making geopolitical decisions.

I agree with your proposal, Mr Unz. As it just so happens, I made the same proposals over a week ago in ZeroHedge, RT, and here, as well I believe.

It is obvious to me that there are options available to leverage against NATO before nuclear anything.

-First proposal: Do to NATO as it does unto Russia. Destruction of American infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels, transformer and distribution power centers (adjacent to streets everywhere), including those adjacent to power generating facilities.

[All such actions should be done in the following manner: Using “strand-off” procedure of at least 3 steps. This requires the initial agent provocateur to contact a party anonymously. This party then contacts and engages a party anonymously. This party then does the same. The actual party that does the action is thus removed at least 3 to 4 levels away from the AP.

Finding the last party to carry out the operation should no be difficult for recruitment. This does not require great expertise. A list of precautions are always included, conceived by professionals at the initial instigation. It is preferable that the final operators are not known to the state and have no record. Since over 10 million illegal aliens are no in country, most have no record at all-no fingerprints or other physical identifiers. A series of car bombs (announced before the explosions) would minimize deaths of innocents.]

-Second proposals: How hard is it to build “homemade” missiles on the order and sophistication of the Houthis? With a porous border like the US has, procurement should be a cakewalk. These missiles fired within a few miles of important Federal Buildings, flying at low altitude are impossible to perceive and intercept. Launched remotely from nearby ghost town abandoned ghettos.

[The main result of all this is not to terrorize people directly by mortal and morbid injury, but to wake up Americans by experiencing what their government is doing to other people. The great mass of Boobus Americanus just shuffles along day. by day in The Matrix/Vacuum of information, denial, and fear of Reality. Who rules America? Who rules Wall Street? An unsafe and unpredicable Wall Street would transmit signals to the relevant institutions and people in Washington, AC/DC.]

-Third proposal: Sinking an entire carrier fleet by a swarm of hypersonic missiles. All conventional warheads. All of them approaching from all sides at the same time. This after a serial number of direct ordinance attacks within Russia, and repeated warnings at the UN. This all pre-nuclear.

-Fourth proposal: Announce No Fly Zone over Ukraine. Any advance approved flyovers will be destroyed. Destroy ALL ground means of entry into Ukraine; roads, railroad, tunnels, bridges. Any attempt to repair same will result in a second barrage, killing those who attempt rebuilding.

Besides yourself, Mr. Unz, I have read of nobody advocating the denial by destruction of the enemies of Russia. In any conflict, one can fight directly as a foe and adversary. Or, one can undermine and modify the terra under the opponent, handicap him pre-hand. Examples: reduced fuel, reduced technical capability (personnel l and materiel), food supplies, ammunition, transportation.

It seems odd that the Russian High Command is only now thinking and acting on the support and undercarriage of the Ukraine military. It is frequently not understood that the economic base’s strength is essential for warcraft. The ability to sustain is directly proportional to the ability to persevere and prevail.

The US deep state and the warmongering neocons see the Ukraine war, which they started, to be an existential event for them.

They see that Russia is winning the war and want to slow the process down by ratcheting up the conflict by allowing the Ukrainians to use western missiles to strike deep within Russia and by bringing NATO forces into fight in Ukraine.

US deep state and the warmongering neocons are delusional—do not retreat or slow down—but keep doubling down with the idea they will eventually win.

If the US deep state and the warmongering neocons can keep the Ukrainian war going until after the November US presidential election, they will goad the Russians into a nuclear war, because these crazy bastards want to reduce the world’s population and actually think they can win a nuclear war. This is all part of Transhumanism, one world government and the NWO.

The entire decade long grinding away of the long time Russian ally named Syria is a prime example. Of course Putin even green lighted the take down by Nato of Ghadaffi and Libya. I think even Afghanistan was greenlighted by Russia/Putin after “9/11”.

More recently the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza has gone on unhindered by Putin and Russia.

The constant bombing of Syria by Israel, and even the attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus was never contested, or called out, by Russia.

The Jewish oligarch problem in Ukraine is just as significant, if not more, than the Banderite Neo-Nazis. Besides, the Jewish-Ukrainian elites coexist without problem with the “Banderites”.

For those people enmeshed in linear syllogisms and tangled speculation of the specious kind, I offer a straightforward analogy, i.e., an Eastern way of looking at things.

Let’s say two parties are shooting it out in a gunfight, at relatively close range. Both of them are sitting or in possession of a very large cache of dynamite. Call them the Hatfields and McCoys. One of the Hatfield men, a close relative of the patriarch takes a bullet and gets killed.

What would the patriarch and his senior advisors do in reaction? 1.. Set off this cache of dynamite and kill everybody on both sides? (nuclear option). Not likely. 2.. Throw a few pieces of dynamite and what?….hope the other side refrains ands does not reciprocate? Not likely.

How about some RealPolitik? 1.. Hatfield asks for secession and detente, and both evacuate. Hatfield knows that the McCoys have more and better rifles, including a gatling gun. 2.. Hatfield commands his men to keep on shooting in continuance. Not very likely.

The nuclear scenario? It don’t make no sense, no how, no way. It only takes one person on each side to set off the dynamite to the other side.

WASP empire is Anglo-Zionist, from its brith, and thus keeps seeing a higher percentage of Jews among its elite.

What would be your own alternate proposal for how Russia should respond to a deep-strike that kills numerous Russian military personnel and perhaps destroys a Russian base deep within Russia?

Obama/Biden is counting on Putin to act like a liberal US White. The situation you describe is ripe for a “no more Mr. Nice Guy” approach:

    1. Destroy the launching site or airport from which the attack came.

    2. Point out to the US that Russian Federation has several Poseidon devices in place. ( https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2022/03/russias-new-poseidon-super-weapon-what-you-need-to-know/ ).

    3. Nuke Kiev, then the rest of the Ukrainian cities, maybe one a day, until Ukraine surrenders or its armies’ logistics support stops. Use high yield air bursts, H bombs, to minimize fallout.

    4. Simultaneously with (3), broadcast notice that European countries have 24 hours to change their governments / surrender / free themselves from the US and immigration and rainbow flags and child castration — or they are next. Be prepared to destroy, say, Liechtenstein 24 hours later, to make the message clear to the Western financial community if necessary. Possibly set of a Poseidon in open ocean, or destroy NYC using a Poseidon.

This unexpected Russian Federation response will induce panic in Obama/Biden. Remember that a US nuclear response requires Biden’s approval and an aide’s accepting Biden’s orders. Panic is defeat, and defeat occurs in the mind of the enemy commander. The US will freeze, then try to disengage from Russian Federation while trying to save its influence in Europe. It will also lead to mobs telling European countries to comply with (4).

Brutal? And sending 40 year old men to the front line with no training and an expected lifetime of 3 days is not brutal?

“You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out.”

    https://ironbrigader.com/2013/02/09/war-cruelty-refine-it-william-t-shermans-september-1864-letter-mayor-atlanta/

Accept the European countries into the Russian Federation. European countries get Russian resources, tolerance for their national character, military protection from immigration and the US. Win/Win. Also end of US Suzerainty, Imperial income, and a liberal government transmogrifying into a police state justified by enforcement of human freedom.

Basic strategy here is to stop playing around, to stop wasting time and lives, to get real and yank the other side’s minds to the reality of what it is risking. And, as Putin said, if the nuclear armed other side is willing to die to destroy Russia, then the other side is probably going to destroy Russia, and after Russia dies, what do the Russians care about what happens to a world without Russia? Might as well get it over with in a single gamble.

The war has been a massive bonanza for the US defense industry.

Most of the weapons were just sitting around in warehouses. That is why they are getting so many F-16s. The government doesn’t know what to do with them.

US arms sales have increased internationally. The war has been a sales video for the MIC. HIMARS is backordered over 10 years.

The US also benefits from LNG exports. The US is now the largest LNG exporter thanks to the war:
    https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/us-was-top-lng-exporter-2023-hit-record-levels-2024-01-02/

So the US will most likely come out ahead. In fact if the Russian economy craters we could see a classic “rush to the dollar” whereby the US ends up with a strong dollar and increased exports.

At the time of the Hiroshima blast, my (step)grandmother was teaching class at an elementary school located in a northeasterly section of greater Hiroshima City. A low mountain ridge arising to the immediate east of the school building appears to have provided partial shelter from the ensuing ground-based firestorm.

Whereas some have reported hearing the drone of a lone airplane passing high overhead prior to the blast, my grandmother did not recall the sound of any airplane at all. Her first alert came when the classroom’s opposite wall was illuminated by a bright flash (she being positioned on the mado-gawa, or window-side of the room, with her back angled mostly toward the center of the city).

I am not surprised Obaasan (Grandmother) could not recall the sound of a single plane overhead. After all, she was inside a cinder-block building, and the B-29 (if it were, per the argument at hand) was then at an altitude exceeding 32,000 feet. But I am certain she would not have missed the noise of a “66 plane firebombing fleet”.

Perhaps of note, she succumbed at the age of 99 to a third recurrence of cancers arising some years after the day she ventured into the margins of charred, flattened ruins once corresponding to Hiroshima-Shi, wherein she hoped less to understand what had happened than to somehow assist any survivors.

She could never be perfectly certain of how long after the blast it was that she walked into the newly-leveled, dusty plain of the Hiroshima delta. There was only the before and the after, or in her words, genbaku-irai – the era after the bomb.

That part she stated most succinctly.

That would give the Europeans pause for thought. A war with Russia AND China would be unwinnable and guaranteed catastrophic for them.

Possibly set of a Poseidon in open ocean near the US coastline, or destroy NYC and Long Island using a Poseidon.

It will also lead to European mobs telling European countries to comply with (4).

Russia accepts the European countries into the Russian Federation. European countries get Russian resources, tolerance for their national character, military protection from immigration and the US. Win/Win. Also end of US suzerainty, suzerain’s income, and a liberal US government transmogrifying into a police state that is bizarrely justified by enforcement of human freedom.

Brutal? And sending 40 year old Ukrainian men to the front line with no training and an expected lifetime of 3 days is not brutal? Running a meatgrinder so that the US doesn’t have to admit it screwed up terminally, that this is the last act of a chain started when Pres. Bush invaded Iraq and the “Graveyard of Empires”, Afghanistan? Or maybe started when the Socialist New deal decided that it was “converging with the USSR”? Or perhaps when the Progressives decided to start the Civil War? Or perhaps when New York City decided to flood the Hudson valley with immigrants (Irish at first) to staff its nascent workshops/industrial revolution? The US has many decision points that are not in the history textbooks and have brought us to this point.

Here’s a quote from one of the more proficient Generals of the US Civil War:

“You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out.”

    https://ironbrigader.com/2013/02/09/war-cruelty-refine-it-william-t-shermans-september-1864-letter-mayor-atlanta/
Gen. Sherman believed and said that “there existed 300,000 fanatics in the South who knew nothing but hunting, drinking, gambling and dueling”, who led the secession, and they would have to be killed or crippled for the US Civil War to end. And something very much like that happened. https://civilwartalk.com/threads/sherman-said-that-an-entire-class-of-southerners-had-to-be-killed.157237/ Sherman was right, war just isn’t nice. And the “make it real” approach above depends on unmasking this reality for the game players in Washington, DC and Europe, and taking advantage of their shock.

The above approach wouldn’t work? It’s working right now in the Israel/Gaza conflict, which is an unmasked resource war for land, in which one side gets the land and the other gets to die. The Israelis look like they get the land because they figured out that they were in a resource war for land, while the Gaza side thought there were rules in such a fight, and that there was an international community and the Obama bunch just waiting to enforce the rules. Surprise!

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, he said that it was “terrible and tragic”, but that the US senators, who helped fuel the conflict in Ukraine, were not even aware of that number.

Time magazine twice named Sachs one of the 100 most powerful people in the world, but that was before he started saying that US intelligence meddling in the affairs of other countries almost always leads to bloodshed and chaos, and that the US continues to use regime change as the main instrument of its foreign policy.

Some of his works, such as “The Economic Illusion” and “After the Empire”, have become indispensable in the study of the social sciences. In 1976, he predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union in his book The Final Collapse.

“When the Ukrainian counteroffensive began, everyone expected the Russians to be defeated.” Now the collapse of the Ukrainian army is expected. It lacks men and weapons. Ukraine is resisting only thanks to the help of the West. The surprise of this war is the industrial, material and economic insolvency of the West and the US”.

Todd believes that the main conclusion of the Ukrainian conflict is that the West has problems with the perception of reality. He added that the question for the West is not whether Russia will win or lose, but how it will deal with its defeat. Additionally, Todd indicated that the West is in decline because the world can no longer tolerate its arrogance.

And nothing new in the Balkans. Germany is showing unprecedented aggression at the behest of the Zionist circles in the US, which are in harmony with the nature of their nature and millennial politics since the time they came to Europe from Asia.

After proposing a resolution in the UN in which she tried to portray the Serbs as a genocidal nation (against whom she committed aggression 4 times in the last century alone and caused the death of millions of civilians), she has now appointed herself the president of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia with the aim of operationalizing the previous UN resolution with the intention of total destruction of the Serbs.

There is already one German in Bosnia, illegally appointed by the US Zionists as a high representative, who wants to abolish laws, annul the decisions of the parliament and the president of the Republika Srpska, Dodig, and even remove him from his position or at least physically liquidate him, which has been planned for a long time.

Yesterday’s session of the Constitutional Court shows all the ruin of Bosnia, wrote the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.

    – The fact that they accepted to work and violate their own rules, according to which only domestic judges can be the president and vice-president of the Court, experienced its collapse yesterday because a German citizen became the vice-president of the Constitutional Court. When you add to that the fact that he is a German citizen and a fake high representative, then it tells about how and what Germany is planning to do here.

    – I think they got confused and that their decisions no longer have the force they used to have. Any decision that cannot be enforced has no meaning.

He also warned that “it has been a long time since a decision of an international factor like this one of the Constitutional Court, which overturns the Dayton Agreement, has been made.”

All this talk of “Nazis” unintentionally, or intentionally, only confues the issue. The fact is that WW II was a globalist war against National Socialist Germany, and today the same tribe of international money-lenders and one-world utopians want war against Russia. Germany did not in 1939 plan or want a world war. The invasion of Poland was in response to the mistreatment of the German minority by the Polish fascist regime, which felt confident of British support against Germany based on the provocative British guarantee of March 1939. The globalist axis of London-Washington (New York) is using the Ukraine now, just as they used Poland in 1939. I do not believe that Putin wants a world war, any more than Hitler did, but the top globalist elites–consisting, perhaps, of no more than 500 people!–want war and think they can win it, just as they won in 1945.

Every Russian escalation led to more NATO escalations and NATO refusal to negotiate. NATO abandoned all its self-imposed red lines, like no supplying of tanks, missiles, etc. to Ukraine. Not once did NATO try to de-escalate the conflict. Thanks. Your reply is now relevant.

To whom has Russia replied in a strong manner? To Ukraine? For the West, Ukraine is a disposable tool. To the USA? To the UK? To NATO? I don’t think so.

Russia responded strongly, by starting the largest war in Europe since WWII, to all of those above. The Ukraines (and Georgia) was on track to become a new NATO member and in Feb. 2022 they declared their intention to have nukes again, and that project would’ve made NATO very powerful vis-à-vis Russia. That NATO project is now dead in the water, and not only that, NATO has been seriously depleted by trying to keep the project alive. What stronger response would you propose, stronger than starting the largest war in Europe since WWII?

More importantly, the USA / UK / NATO obviously haven’t been deterred and that strongly hints that they don’t think that Russia has replied in a strong manner either.

Of course they’ve been deterred. Is there any talk now of the Ukraines joining NATO and having nukes? Not at all. NATO has been stopped in its tracks, even though it has been demonstrated in the strongest reasonable manner that the Ukrainian regime was the one most needing to be in NATO for protection.

The current Russian strategy has worked quite well for the past two years and a lot more was achieved with it than would have been with a different strategy but what can be achieved with it obviously isn’t enough.

Fair enough but you can rush things in this kind of business, unless you’re crazy, so it may seem like not enough has been achieved but you need to give it more time. For evidence, consider the Second Chechen War, it lasted 10.5 yr, and ended with a comprehensive Russian victory.

The Chinese produce almost all of Americas’ consumption. Taiwan produces almost all the chips necessary to operate Americas post industrial economy. Not too smart outsourcing the hardware.

  221. President Putin tore Russia from the claws of the Criminal, rebuilt the churches, and restored Christianity. He did it for Russia, and he can do it for the world. He has seen the world demonstrating in the streets against the Criminal, and now is talking to the world.

In the streets, he sees the international sense of justice, and that is the core of the struggle. The International Court of Justice is one international voice that can override the many conflicting voices of fake news. Putin has seen the South African team’s initiative to nail the Criminal, and how it alerted the Court to its duty.

The Criminal has no sense of justice. The US President supported the ICJ when it ordered the arrest of President Putin, but now he says he will invade The Hague, if it attempts the arrest of the Israel leaders.

“They do as they like!” said the South African Foreign Minister as she watched the genocide accusation against Israel. Her words express the diagnostic principle that identifies a criminal – one who obeys no law.

Russia, the rest of us, and the ICJ, will survive only if the ICJ makes no mistakes. The South African advocates of principle and integrity who spoke before the ICJ strengthened the backbone of those judges. So did the startling crimes that suddenly exploded in Gaza. But is the backbone of the Court strong enough?

A mistake is to order the arrest also of the Hamas leaders. A criminal Court does not treat criminal and victim evenly, as if they were engaged in a political dispute. Hamas is fighting with nearly no weapons to defend its existence, while Israel is completely destroying Gaza and its people with unlimited weapons, and its existence is not threatened.

A mistake is to speak of a two-State solution. The Court’s job is to diagnose criminals, and to disable them. Once diagnosed, criminals are without civil rights. Criminals cannot be trusted. Israel cannot take part in negotiating a two-state solution.

A mistake is to order the criminals to cease fire. Criminals do not give up crime when ordered to do so. The ICJ must direct its order to the world – to all the people who thirst for righteousness: “Responsibility is on you! Not on the criminals! Stop the crime! Immediately!”

A mistake is not to order the arrest of the leaders of governments and companies that help Israel. By judgement of the International Court of Justice, these leaders are guilty as accessories to the crime of genocide. The German government must be charged as criminals, and arrested. They have forfeited the right to speak for the German people.

If the Court spoke like a Court of Justice, it would become one.

Russia and China depend, no less than we do, on righteousness for their survival. If the Court were honest, and intelligent, its orders would rest so clearly on righteousness that all the world would listen. The power to enforce its orders would come to its hand in miraculous ways.

The Criminals “have managed to seize control over much of our political system, especially our foreign policy, and have spent the last few years doing their utmost to foment an absolutely insane war with nuclear-armed Russia. “ (Ron Unz)

The whole world must gather round those judges, breathe down their necks, follow them home, and do everything to make them honest and intelligent. So that they pass judgement quickly, not after years, and speak together with a righteous voice, no voice dissenting.

And the world must ask the South African team to lay another charge against the Criminal. “…the discovery of the true history of 1940s Europe would have world shattering consequences.” (Ron Unz) The charge would be, the genocide of Germany.

Or rather – your particular sub-sect of Christianity, right ?

‘Christendom’ is split into several major sects, and hundreds of small ones, with thousands of tiny splinter groups – all disagreeing which each other on the details, sometimes to the point of violence. How can that possibly help us ?

There is a lot of wisdom in what you say. Sometimes on Unz there is too much emphasis on ethnicity and not enough on cartels and self-interested groups. The attack on Jews as a distinct group is a dead end that ends in death and destruction. And who does that serve? It is far more useful to identify the bad actors, those who seek division and use violence as their means. That a whole people can become dangerous is true. But so often these moments hinge on faulty reasoning or narrative coercion. Finally, I feel it is important to be a light in a dark time and not to join the source of the darkness. I think this is what you are urging. It’s a shame so many are deaf to this wisdom.

Mike Whitney’s brilliant analysis of the mad Western strategy for a preventive nuclear strike on Russia ends with a not-so-smart call for Putin “to be a Little Crazier” and be the first to preemptively use nuclear weapons on the example of any “small European country”. It is in order to prove to the West Russia’s determination to fully activate its largest world nuclear arsenal. The author leaves in the background and forgotten the consequence of the Russian nuclear strike that the population of a “small country” of several million people will be almost completely destroyed, and not just “sent back to the Stone Age.” It is humanistic consideration that constitutes the main deterrent for Orthodox Russia and the Orthodox Christian Putin. The West and Mike Whitney are misinterpreting it to convince themselves of Russia’s inability to “use” a nuclear arsenal. The history experience has not taught them that the Russian bear always and fully uses its entire arsenal for its defense; and he always had enough determination for this in the past, and he will have enough in the present.
The new historical problem born by nuclear civilization since Hiroshima/Nagasaki 1945 is different – the inevitable complete mutual destruction, which will cover not only the antagonists, but all of humanity. If the ever-aggressive West ignores this outcome in order to preserve its hegemony and world dictatorship, then for peace-loving Russia and Putin this is the key brake and deterrence. Unfortunately, the article author misses this humanistic, civilizational factor from the field of its own, Western thinking, albeit advanced and honest in many ways, in contrast to its mainstream lies. Therefore, he “honestly” invites Putin to be “a little crazy” in a preventive nuclear strike, which fully corresponds to the Western logic of militarism, removes responsibility for it, shifts it to Russia and gives the West a free hand in the full-scale nuclear destruction of Russia, which will force to a symmetrical null answer for the antagonists and humanity. Therefore, Mike Whitney’s article is more a provocation for Russia than the “lesson in a little crazy,” which cannot exist on the aggressive West nuclear war field.
The only “reasonable crazy” of Russia and Putin, completely justified and recognized by all grateful humanity, would be the urgent establishment in Russia, under the leadership of Putin, of two peacemaking institutions: the “Department of Peace”, long ago but unsuccessfully proposed in the USA, and the “Academy of Peace Science”, with an invitation to Western scientists and politicians to participate. Along with the establishment of these institutions, the parties recognize a truce in the occupied positions for the necessary period to develop an acceptable scientific project for peace with the cessation of all hostilities and all supplies of weapons, which is the only way to get out from the nuclear suicide clinch of the warring parties. (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=1175).
Similar peacemaking “reasonable crazy” in the two named institutions, armed with the corresponding “Spheral Artificial Intelligence” (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=1189), has been developed and offered to all leaders from international to national by the GGHA, which created the fundamental and verified by world statistics Gandhian “Peace Science” for almost 20 years. But this science and its peace institutions remain indifferent to the warring parties. Their creation and proposal by one side and the refusal from them by the other side would be an irrefutable historical fact of the aggressiveness and nuclear madness of this side, whose preventive use of nuclear weapons would become the crime against humanity and would be punished by an adequate, justified nuclear response.
Why does the “honest” West accept military nuclear “madness” but reject peacemaking, nonviolent “crazy”? Whoever recognizes and ensures it will win in the final historical account. Therefore, only the peaceful “lesson needs to be learned by Putin quickly” for the benefit of Russia and “Peace for whole world”, confirmed in Beijing by the leaders of China and Russia on May 16, in contrast to the West, for which “war became peace and lies became truth” long ago, as at Orwell.

In my discussion I omitted another factor in any grand strategic plan, which is breaking free from the opposition’s grand strategy.

The US Federal government (USFG) is approaching international affairs using the same gradual approach that it used to convert the US economy from unregulated to regulated (“free enterprise” to “Socialist”, or “interlocking trust” to “government run command economy”, all labels for the same transformation).

A gradual approach permits preparing for all likely contingencies. For example:

. . . it could prompt Russia to use tactical nukes in self-defense to stop this invasion force if it crosses the Dnieper and threatens its new regions.

In that event, the US might either conventionally strike all of Russia’s forces in the special operation zone like Poland claimed that it would do, or just cut to the chase by launching a first nuclear strike that could be facilitated by its Ukrainian proxy carrying out more attacks against its early warning systems. There’s also the chance that more such attacks could simply precede a first nuclear strike by the US before any conventional NATO intervention if decisionmakers conclude that an exchange would then be inevitable.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/ukraine-going-rogue-or-did-it-attack-russias-early-warning-systems-american-approval

Tit for tat maintains the illusion of control, an the illusion that the enemy doesn’t get a vote. Tit for tat is the bureaucracy’s “instinct to go for the capillaries”, and is a winning strategy that the enemy must break if it hopes to win.

“Tit for tat” failed markedly in Vietnam and the Levant/North Africa because the enemy voted against its success. North Vietnamese Army did not try to duplicate Dien Bien Phu ( https://www.britannica.com/event/Battle-of-Dien-Bien-Phu ) and the Left allied itself with North Vietnam to gain control of the US.

“Tit for tat” failed markedly in Iraq and Afghanistan because the base population of these countries supported or at least tolerated insurgencies that did not want US occupation and that killed US troops, did not support raising local troops for the US supported government, and destroyed industrial infrastructure.

And in all cases, USFG continued to try implementing the “tit for tat” strategy long after it had failed. In the USFG, “Policy is a matter of formulation, coordination, and implementation” that cannot return to formulation.

It turns out that I’ve outlined the Russian Federation’s (RF’s) proposed grand strategy without being aware of it. See: https://www.rt.com/russia/598488-us-russia-nuclear-bomb/ ; https://korybko.substack.com/p/korybko-to-sergey-karaganov-nuking . I’ll admit that my implementation might seem to be a bit more aggressive than the Russian articles propose, but the strategic goal is the same: awaken the West to the real game it is playing and the real risk it is taking. My version has greater shock value, and breaks the USFG bureaucratic grand strategy more obviously, but may a bit more risky. OTH, following the West’s grand strategy ends with an RF loss and subsequent looting/demographic extinction of the Slavs. By killing the US Jewish and People of Color (POC) populations in NYC, the approach I’ve outlined also traumatizes two basic support constituencies for the present USFG, both of which groups would likely panic when faced with a demonstrated likelihood of destruction, and directly attacks both Obama’s relatives and Biden’s senescent ability to relate to reality. Both are important — “Defeat/surrender occurs in the mind of the enemy leadership”.

In my case, of course, the objective of “realizing reality” intends to point out that the USFG is pursuing goals that are not worth the risk, and negotiating and end to the RF/Ukraine conflict before RF tries breaking USFG strategy as I’ve outlined.

To bring it down to the “popular literature” level, for those bored to with the above details:

The USFG is playing a dangerous game! The Russian Federation is playing a dangerous game! NATO is playing a dangerous game! But it’s dangerous!! And it isn’t a game!!!!

As in the case of Israel/Gaza, first side to realize and act on that breaks free from the existing conceptual illusions of both the USFG and the Russian Federation and either wins or destroys the world. Flip a coin to find out which.

Agreed. There will likely be more provocations, judging by recent events, but people should stay calm. It will get hairy from time to time. The Russian Federation is fighting within it’s capabilities and budget, so it will take a while, but they can achieve all their goals by conventional means.

Sure they take a beating, that is normal in war according to history, but the dead and disabled will be remembered as heroes. This whole war will become part of Russian mythology, much like WW2. It’s history in the making, the rise of the East. People overlook how normal this all is by human standards, ugly as war is though.

  236. @Levtraro

You are being disingenuous. Russia responded then to what they did then. Russia doesn’t respond now to what they do now. To pretend that they know what they’re doing, well, Putin himself has admitted that they weren’t sure about what they were doing when they launched the SMO. Things turned out well enough but Russia did suffer heavy casualties in the beginning b/c they made a wrong assessment of how things would unfold and they had to change their strategy on the fly. I don’t pretend to teach Russia what it should do but my assessment based on mere logical evaluation turned out to be more accurate than theirs in spite of all the intelligence at their disposal. It doesn’t mean that I am right now and that they are wrong. The thing is, I am far from being the only one thinking what I think. Quite a few people in the West think the same. Because they know the psychology of the people who rule the West. This isn’t just about who has the better or bigger guns. Psychology plays a huge role here. And both sides seem to be misjudging the psychology of the other. There lies the real danger.

  237. @John Johnson

Putin in fact stated that their Muslim and Buddhist values are integral to the country.

Russia is a multi-racial, muti-religious empire that is attacking a Christian nation.

It’s a little bit of a twist on the truth.

Putin did state something to that effect, about the diversity of the Russian Federation. Besides being geographically big and full of a variety of people, modern Russia also inherited a lot of its population from the Soviet era, when movement was permitted within the Union.

While Russia is a multi-racial, muti-religious empire, it remains an Orthodox Christian country. This is due, in part, to over a thousand years as a Christian state, as well as its president making a show of going to church and consulting with the Patriarch. Almost half of the population self-identifies as Christian, and Orthodoxy is the largest bloc of any faith group in Russia.

The situation in the Ukraine is different. An overwhelming majority of the population identifies as Christian. Of these, the majority adheres to some form of Orthodoxy. However, Orthodoxy is split three ways: between the historic Church based in Moscow; the newly-created autocephalous Church (created in 2019 by Constantinople under pressure from America); and a self-proclaimed autocephalous church whose legitimacy is disputed.

The rulers of the Ukraine, on the other hand, are largely Jewish or ethnic Ukrainians who do not appear to be particularly devout. Ukraine is also heavily influenced by non-Ukrainians, like Blinken and Nudelman. Power and pragmatism seem to guide their course of action, while Russia seems to at least take Christian principles into consideration.

If Russia is attacking the Ukraine because it is a Christian nation, then it’s because they see the Ukrainians as brothers in the faith. This causes the Russians to limit civilian casualties, as opposed to the Ukrainians who attack Russia indiscriminately to inflict harm by killing civilians.

It’s deceptive to claim that “Russia is a multi-racial, muti-religious empire that is attacking a Christian nation.” Ukraine is a front for a multi-racial, muti-religious empire–NATO–as well as being the frontline of a battle that is not primarily about Christianity.

Your statement is an oversimplification, as if to imply that real Christians should support the regime in Kiev

    Ackshually I was saying
    – Ukrainian “independence” is null and void, and Saint Vladimir the Little is
    restoring its sovereignty.
    – ZATO statutes forbid joining with outstanding territorial claims, let alone
an ongoing conflict; by these standards Germany could not be a member
(East Germany is still occupied by Poland, Russia and Lithuania) – besides it is
still an occupied zone not a sovereign nation; so much for their “respect” for
their own “rules” – international law did not keep them from meddling either.
    – Zezi lied, pure and simple – meaning the “vote” for him means the People
do not want him (nor any of his Glaubensbrieder).

VVP graduated from a mining school and his dissertation was on problems of
international raw materials supply but he is a lawyer, and it shows –
he wants everything nice and legal (that was the purpose of the annexation of
the four oblasts, though there are still no conscripts in the SMO – but it would
    be legal).
    – Keeheef has spent the last half year goading Mama Bear into attacking Kharkow,
visibly slobbering at the prospect of turning it into another Stalingrad; see, even if it
weren´t 100% Russian it is worthless to them – you cannot have a city of 1.5M on a
hostile border; Kharkow like Mariupol and Nikolaew has withered since “independence”,
and that is not lost on the burghers.
Mama Bear´s response is called a “fork game” in chess – there is no point in attacking
Kharkow (in the fullness of time, it will drop like an overripe plum) but the threat
makes all other fronts threadbare, and the hurriedly thrown together reserves bleed out
in pointless counterattacks (no (((West Ukrainians))) were hurt in the filming of this
picture). For Mama Bear, possession of Kharkow would mean knocking on the gates
of Kiew, but that´s not the goal – Keeheef will “succeed”, and Mama will retake
the left bank of the Seversky Donets i.e. nix the only success Keeheef ever had
(the “Kharkow counteroffensive”); Zaluzhny was prepared to give it up in case the Ruskies
rebounded from the Oskol (it is indefensible and there´s nothing there there) but
he has been replaced with stupid.

    – I am at a loss on what to do with Galicia and Volhynia; the Ruskies don´t want it but
cannot allow the Poles in either (unless ZATO is liquidated).
    Ideas?

Putin did state something to that effect, about the diversity of the Russian Federation.

I’m not twisting anything. You can’t man up and face the reality that Russia is not some frozen tradcon wonderland.

Here it is from Putin himself:

Today, traditional Islam is an integral part of Russia’s spiritual life. Islam’s humanist values, like the values of our other traditional religions, teach people compassion, justice and care for our loved ones.

You could have Googled that instead your pathetic attempt at doing PR for this homicidal KGB dwarf. He has called both Islam and Buddhist values as integral to Russia. Face it and move on. In fact they have “hate crime” laws where bloggers that discuss the reality of race can be hauled off to a Siberian prison. Do I need to Google that for you as well?

If you are going to accuse me of twisting a statement from Putin then Google it first to see if he actually made it instead of embarrassing yourself.

modern Russia also inherited a lot of its population from the Soviet era, when movement was permitted within the Union.

    That’s incorrect on multiple levels.

Their Muslim and Buddhist populations inherit from Imperial Russia (1721-1917). Most of those minorities were once ruled by the Mongols. The Chechens, Ukrainians and Siberians never wanted to be part of the USSR or Imperial Russia. Most of those minorities would vote for independence if given the chance.

Free movement was not permitted within the USSR. You could not simply walk away from your job and move to another Soviet city. You had to get permission from the government and you needed a reason. You couldn’t just say you are bored with coal mining and want to try your hand in the city. The USSR not only locked people within the country but within specific regions. Escaping was a crime.

Almost half of the population self-identifies as Christian, and Orthodoxy is the largest bloc of any faith group in Russia.

The situation in the Ukraine is different. An overwhelming majority of the population identifies as Christian.

Does Russia or Ukraine have the higher percentage of Christians? Or are you afraid to answer that question?

The rulers of the Ukraine, on the other hand, are largely Jewish or ethnic Ukrainians who do not appear to be particularly devout.

So you believe that Putin is a devout Christian even though there is a long life of former allies and rivals that have ended up dead? Do you believe that he is a good Christian man and all those accusations are false? They all fell down stairs, out of windows and were accidentally poisoned?

We know Zelensky is Jewish but let’s have you list these other Jewish leaders. Go ahead.

They know full well that in a conventional war they are no match for NATO

Putin has said as much in a speech and also said that inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia is by definition impossible. Russia is playing for time and knows full well that destroying the world may be the only way to stop the lunatics. All simulations of a use of nukes lead to a full nuclear exchange and MAD. Russia, China and allies are the grown ups in the room and the whole world sees who the crazies are.

Many of the answers to your questions appear in my previous response, so you can refer back to it.

In the comment I replied to, you say that the Ukraine is more of a Christian country than Russia, implying that real Christians should support the regime in Kiev. Yet in no way can that regime be called Christian.

The Russian character, on the other hand, has been shaped by a thousand years of Christianity, and their actions appear to be influenced by the faith.

The Ukrainian population has a higher percentage of Christians than Russia. But Russia is guided by and defending Christian principles. It’s not an easy call to say which is more Christian. For that reason, I said that you twisted the truth and oversimplified.

While you clearly don’t like Russia, it can simultaneously be a multiracial and multicultural Christian society.

The more expansive ones were happily planning the ‘de-colonisation, de-nuclearisation, de-militarisation and de-Putinisation’ of Russia, and its break-up into several statelets run by Quisling New Yeltsins, and that simply follows the unchangeable imperatives of Western global hegemony. Russia and, even more so, China, stand in the way of the permanent rule of the West, through ‘Full Spectrum Dominance’ over all humanity, forever, so they MUST be destroyed, by nuclear war if necessary.
Undoubtedly, Has Been as well as being a liar is a Western supremacist, seeing itself as the epitome of human excellence. His ‘job’ is to lie and fabricate history, not for those with brains and knowledge of the facts, but for the brainwashed or pig ignorant dullards who infest the West and need urging to leap into the thermonuclear abyss. It’s an Evil shit, but the West is as full of them as a blocked sewer is of crap.

Which only proves he’s been playing 4d chess & will one day – before a vast international audience on all imaginable media platforms via hacking & whatnot – valiantly cast off his business suite & shirt, cue for his minions to cut the light off in whatever room he is in, cue for one of them to bring a very bright blacklight wand…

…Putin will then dramatically hold the wand up in the air for a second or so for proper effect, & then go for the master move as he begins chuckling as he begins to cast the blacklight glow upon his bare chest to suddenly reveal a formerly invisible gigantic “glow in the dark” Swastika tattoo

Christendom failed? Yes, it’s had its problems as all human institutions have. It’s in a bit of a downward spiral now, perhaps what you mean, but it was a central piece in a pretty mighty civilization for many centuries.

Sure, Christians have done some good things, and Christianity has been a good influence here and there. But that was then, this is now – we can’t impose one specific feature of past society onto a modern one and expect the same result.

In practice the call to “return to Christ / Christianity” means :
    * join my particular sub-sect and follow its peculiar rules,
    * profess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and go to church every Sunday, etc….

I’d reply : “would YOU join some other church or religion because some person claimed it was good?”

    No thanks.

The Ukrainian population has a higher percentage of Christians than Russia. But Russia is guided by and defending Christian principles.

    Like attacking their Christian neighbor?

What is Christian about launching missiles on Kiev?

You do acknowledge that Christians are dying in this war more than any other group?

While you clearly don’t like Russia, it can simultaneously be a multiracial and multicultural Christian society.

I don’t think that actually matters. I point out the demographics of Russia because we have Putin fans that for some reason want to believe that Ukraine is a Jewish or Western secular state. It’s more Christian than Russia and has far fewer Jews, atheists, and Muslims. There are a lot of misconceptions on Ukraine that are leftover from the 1930s. Moscow is the new home of Ashkenazi Jews in Europe. Ukraine once had a significant Jewish population but some Putin fans clearly missed that a watercolor painter stopped at the Russian border. I’ve been called a Jew numerous times for merely pointing out that Russia has more Jews than Ukraine.

I think the dictator of Russia is a blood thirsty atheist that plays the role of the Christian leader for the cameras. He dupes his followers into thinking he is Christian just because he holds a candle for Orthodox services.

let´s have you list these other Jewish leaders.

    We aim to please …
Poroshenko, Timoshenko, Yatsenyuk, Avakov, Arakhamia, Klitschko –

I was talking about current Jewish leaders in Zelensky’s government. It was in response to this comment:
The rulers of the Ukraine, on the other hand, are largely Jewish or ethnic Ukrainians who do not appear to be particularly devout.

You listed a bunch of politicians from the past. The same could be done with Russian government.

Other than Zelensky who are these Jewish rulers?

The final arbiter will be how many Jews died on the front (don´t hold your breath).

Very few. The vast majority of those killed will be Orthodox men on both sides.

Why don’t you explain how this war sticks it to the Jews when Orthodox men do the fighting. Or name these “Jewish rulers” that will somehow lose even though children of Orthodox men lose their fathers.

  261. @John Johnson

You do at least accept the possibility that Putin could be an atheist and only pretends to be Christian?

I answered this in my original reply:

“While Russia is a multi-racial, muti-religious empire, it remains an Orthodox Christian country. This is due, in part, to over a thousand years as a Christian state, as well as its president making a show of going to church and consulting with the Patriarch.”

Putin may be an atheist who had his enemies murdered, but the state is more than the president. A thousand years leaves an imprint. Its national character is still shaped by Christianity, despite the people following multiple faiths. Collectively, they are pushing back against what they view as satanic impulses coming from the godless West, particularly homosexuality and transgenderism.

The Russian military is also trying to reduce civilian suffering and casualties, while Kiev is trying to kill random Russian citizens near the border. This indicates that Russia values human life and is not seeking victory at any cost, both of which are consistent with Christian teachings.

For its part, Kiev is repressing Christians and embracing principles that are counter to the faith. The country is known for its corruption, prostitution, and other nefarious activities such as harmful biolabs. While much of the Ukrainian population may practice the Christian faith, the ruling regime neither acts nor claims to be Christian, and it cannot be called such.

Whatever its leader believes, the Russian state intentionally presents itself as nominally Christian and its actions appear to be influenced by its faith.

Putin may be an atheist who had his enemies murdered, but the state is more than the president.

So do you support a mass murdering atheist and his war against a Christian neighbor?

A thousand years leaves an imprint. Its national character is still shaped by Christianity, despite the people following multiple faiths.

And how is Ukraine different? They also have Christianity that dates back a thousand years.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Christianity_in_Ukraine

For its part, Kiev is repressing Christians and embracing principles that are counter to the faith.

Do explain and note that Russia suppresses protestant churches.

Russia scores higher in corruption by international organizations:

Both Moscow and St. Petersburg have prostitution districts:
    https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/odr/russias-intimate-salons/

I’m not seeing a case that Russia is the more Christian of the two.

Russia has the higher alcoholism rate:
    https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2013/09/how-alcohol-conquered-russia/279965/

A twice as high abortion rate compared to Ukraine:

A higher HIV rate than Ukraine and Western Europe:
    https://www.aidsmap.com/news/jan-2023/russia-huge-differences-between-provinces-europes-worst-hiv-epidemic

Russia has more atheists, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and unaffiliated non-religious when compared to Ukraine. Ukraine has lower percentages of all these groups. Moscow is the new home of Ashkenazi Jews in Eastern Europe. During WW2 Jews all over Eastern Europe fled into the USSR.

Russia has the higher abortion, HIV and alcoholism rates.

That leaves you with “Biolabs” which I’m going to guess you don’t have a source.

You do acknowledge that Russia has been in population decline since 1991 and had the world’s highest abortion rate during most of Putin’s term?

  269. In the 1980s, when Pershing II and SS-20 medium-range missiles were stationed in West and East Gemany, respectively, I remember that some American pundits (probably some Neocons) were talking about a “limited nuclear war in Europe”. Or at least there were some European peace activists claiming that these people were considering the option of a limited nuclear war in Europe.

Why should there a lower level of willingness to have a limited nuclear war in Europe today than in the 1980s? The people who pull the strings in the West seem more hostile to the current regime in Russia than to to the communist regime in the former Soviet Union. Moreover, the West never sent any weapons or money to the white troops fighting Lenin and Trotsky in the Russian civil war in 1917-20, but they allowed Jacob Schiff to bankroll Lenin and Trotsky at an early stage. They also allowed the banker Olof Aschberg, a Swedish citizen, to perform “gold laundering” with the Russian central bank gold after the revolution in Sweden. It´s hard not to get the impression that the West today is more hostile to Putin than to the Soviet communists, even the early more aggressive ones who also were militarily weaker.

Furthermore, my impression is not that those who rule the West behind the scenes are very concerned about the well-being of ordinary Ukrainians. In case they had been that, I think they should have forced Zelensky to stick to his promises before he got elected to end the war in Donbass (along the lines of the Minsk agreement, as far as I understand) rather than escalate and subsequently lose 500,000 Ukrainian soldiers (so far). Furthermore, I doubt these string pullers are more fond of Germans. After all, 3 million Germans were killed after WWII when they were driven out of Eastern Europe by force. Western governments approved of this solution. About 1 million Germans POW:s seem to have died in Western prison camps in the summer of 1945 according to “Other Losses” by James Bacque (mainstream historians claim that only a few hundred thousand German POW:s died that way after the war). And then we have the Morgenthau Plan (which was almost implemented) which would have caused a starvation disaster in parts of Germany controlled by the West. The question is whether they are more fond of other Europeans. I doubt that. And what about the many immigrants living in Europe who primarily are Muslims, Arabs and sub-Saharan Africans? Considering the many military campaigns against non-Europeans over the past 35 years I think that they would be considered as collateral damage in case they don´t dislike these people to the same extent as Germans and Ukrainians.

My impression is also that the war in Ukraine is about destabilizing Russia and facilitate a regime-change operation. The threat of a nuclear war could might facilitate a coup d´état against Putin. If Russia would seize control over the entire Ukraine, the Russians would probably have to deal with Ukrainian terrorists funded by the West for decades. And that would might in turn make it harder to make the Ukrainian economy grow and thereby create a more favourable attitude among people in central and western Ukraine to being a part of the Russian/Chinese economic bloc rather than the West. In addition to that, you have the problem that Russia under Putin over the past 15 years has had some difficulties to raise the living standards to a substantial degree in Russia. It would have been much easier to raise wages and people´s purchasing power with more domestic production of durable goods and less capital flight and less immigration of labour. And I´m not sure to which extent Putin and the rest of the Russian government has been aware of this problem and how much Russia´s perceived living standard compared to the EU area affects attitudes among Ukrainians and others to being a part of the Eastern rather than the Western economic bloc.

My impression is that the Russian strategy now is to defeat the Ukrainian army by conventional means and force the Ukrainian parliament to accept unconditional surrender (or a surrender on similar terms). The West is at the same time trying to give Ukrainians the impression that they will give them sufficient amounts of military equipment up to the point when they get more directly involved and thereby make the Russians back off in order to avoid a nuclear war. Many Ukrainians in central and Western Ukraine may believe that the reward for all the casualties in the war with the Russians will be a Western European standard of living.

To the string pullers in the West, military casualties in Ukraine and Russia is something good, not bad. Forcing Russia out of the European energy market is also something good. They don´t have to win the war in order to feel that they gain something. Even if Russia wins and seize control over Ukraine, Ukraine will probably continue to give Russia a headache for decades. Especially if the Russians won´t pursue a strategy more focused on increasing people´s ability to buy durable goods without causing a less favourable trade balance.
