Its absolutely imperative that everyone under 50 in America read “A Generation of Sociopaths.” There’s definitely an intergenerational aspect to this: baby boomers favor and support policies like this because it harms younger whites, thus those who they see as their economic competition.

The modern dystopia we live in is largely shaped by generational theft, as those born in the last few generations increasingly recognize that the elderly and those of older generations, particularly those born before 1965, have worked hard to rig the entire socioeconomic system to benefit them and harm those born afterwards. One need only compare the type of society the baby boomers were handed to the one they’re now leaving behind. Not to mention of course their parents’ own attitudes of benevolence towards their children versus the way boomers treat their own posterity.

Sorry, but even if true, your generation has had power for decades, and has utterly failed to do anything about it when they had the chance. But, if I understand corectly, Ron Unz has even pointed out it may be largely a myth that the Hart-Cellar Act is that responsible for the present mass demographic change. Not every working class boomer is personally responsible, but the idea that your generation is blameless and had things “just as hard” is frankly ludicrous. And if you’re upset about labor getting the shaft then your own generation, the boomer electorate, is exactly who you should be blaming.
