“EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL”

Guide Questions:
1. Who is the main character in the movie? What made him different as a learner?
Describe his hobbies and experiences as a son, and as a learner with special needs.
The main character in the movie is Ishaan Awasthi. Ishaan is a 8 years old boy
that does not excel in hi class. He finds all subject difficult, and is belittled by
his teachers and classmates, he makes his parents felt frustrated because of his
performance. His art teacher in boarding school found ut that he has a
dyslexia. Despite of this disability, he is a good artist, not just good but a very
excellent one.

2. What is the case of Ishaan? What are the specific manifestations of this case shown in
the movie? How did Ishaan’s parents treat him?
Ishaan has a dyslexia. Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty in
reading due to problem identifying speech sounds and learning how they
relate to letters and words. His parents were frustrated because of his poor
performance in school so they send him to boarding school, they totally make
him an outcast to their family without understanding his real situation.

3. Who is Ram Nikumbh? How was he different from other teachers? How did he influence
Ishaan? How did Ram managed Ishaan’s case?
Ram Nikumbh is Ishaan’s art teacher. He is different from other teacher
because instead of belittling Ishaan, he understand and study what is Ishaan’s
problem or case. He encourage and influence Ishaan, mold and help him to
show what his talent is. He encourage him to do what he wants and what his
passion is.
4. What are the teaching strategies, approaches and assessment used by the teacher to
give intervention to Ishaan? Cite specific scenarios.
The first thing the teacher do to Ishaan is, he observe him. Then, he try to
understand and study his case. The, he motivate him to socialize with his
classmates. Lastly, he encourage him to do where he is best in and to mold
more his talents. In the last part, the teacher was so shock on what Ishaan’s
paint is. Then the teacher show what he also paint and that is Ishaan. In here,
the teacher makes Ishaan understand that every child is special in different
category, even if they have flaws or weaknesses, they are still beautiful as a
painting.

5. How is the statement, “Every Child Is Special” depicted in the movie? What makes every
child special?
The statement “Every Child is Special” depicts and show that every children is
special because they have their own strength and weaknesses. Every children
is special in different variation in life. They have different talents, knowledge,
and skill.

6. What does the movie imply to us teachers?


The movie imply to teachers that, teachers should be more flexibel towards
their students. They should not belittle them if they don’t excel in the
classroom, instead, they should observe and study what their problem is.

7. What are your realizations after watching the movie?


After Watching this movie, I came to realize that everyone has its own talent.
Maybe some didn’t discover their talent yet. Children still need guidance
because they are still children hat can’t understand their self. They need adults
to help them discover their selves. They needs parents to understand them and
make them special.
