To conclude, the film “Every Child is Special” is a great experience, a rollercoaster ride of
emotions and learnings shifting from one scene to the other. It clearly depicts the lead character’s
(Ishaan’s) struggle in academics because of his disability and the effects of the actions of his parents on
him. Dyslexia, as a complex disease, was made easier to understand and the viewers can comprehend
the lead character’s symptoms and the impact of his disability towards hid studies. The movie not only
did bring light to the disease but it has also successfully entertained. Lastly, the film is well deserving of
its garnered awards because of its intention to not only entertain but to also educate and spread
awareness about Dyslexia.
Aamir Khan's drama film in Hindi, Every Child Is Special, was released in 2007. Khan (born
March 14, 1965, Bombay [now Mumbai], India), an Indian cinema actor well-known for his dependable
performances and shrewd screenplay selection, was born into a family of filmmakers. He ushered in a
new level of professionalism in Bollywood by insisting on a finished script before shooting and working
on just one movie at once.
This movie is about an 8 years old boy who has dyslexia named Ishaan that kid filled with joy
and imagination is having a hard time with his life . Ishaan is a boy that who struggle to meet the
academic expectations of school. He even finds it hard to read because the letters are moving. He also
can’t write correctly and his letters and numbers are sometimes inverted. His parents are more focused
in Ishaan’s brother who is much better. They doesn’t seem to appreciate Ishaan’s talent in creativity and
art. Because of his difficulties in school and family, he become depressed and confused. Ram Shankar, A
new art teacher to this scene that defines practiced teaching. He set his students on hype fire
encouraging them to use their imagination. Watching this movie made me feel amazed. This movie is
like telling us that we should show concern not only for the children but also to ourselves. And the
special effects, the visual of the movie. You can see that the actor and the actress is so good in acting
skills, and also the child Darsheel Safary even though he is to young his skills in acting make you feel that
your the one who suffered even though not. And the writer of that movie you can see that he/she wrote
that to made us feel like everybody is gifted in many ways.
The movie's ability to amuse and inform audiences about dyslexia and the various learning
styles of children at the same time shows that they are well deserved of appreciation and respect. When
children who are generally healthy have a severe and pervasive reading disability, it is commonly
referred to as dyslexia. The scene where Ishaan was given many directions and he was unable to
understand one from the other and thus it is depicted that it just came out inaudible to him illustrates
the disability and various challenges a child who is dyslexic may confront in his or her daily life. With
simply a look throughout the sequence, the actor playing Ishaan did a fantastic job of evoking emotions
like curiosity, uncertainty, self-loathing, and general fury. Due to his dyslexia, Ishaan has poor auditory
short-term memory. Children with poor auditory short term memory have good hearing, but for some
reason lack the fundamental language decoding abilities that most children normally acquire.
The parents gave up in guiding their son. The teacher started teaching Ishaan and eventually
succeed. In an emotional climax, Nikhumb organises a painting competition in which the students
compete with their teachers in order to prove their equal worth. The plot was undeniably amazing and
unpredictable, you cannot imagine how the parents change and become supportive to his/her don after
finding out its talent.
Ishaan was left alone when he faced depression, while Nick Vujicic wanted to end his life or
commit suicide, but they discovered themselves and found hope because none of them were aware of
their circumstances or disabilities
This movie portrays a child suffering from dyslexia, one of learning disabilities, which affect
the brain’s ability to receive, process, analyse or store information. These problems can make it difficult
for a student to learn as quickly as someone who isn't affected by learning disabilities. Dyslexia is
defined as development disorder of reading difficulty and learning disability with difficulties ranging
from single word decoding to spelling and writing. The film shows a very inspiring story. It also makes
the viewer aware of what Ishaan had or what his condition was. The film conveys a message of
acceptance, patience and care. We future teachers to be, plays an important role for our students, the
movie (every child is special) serves as an eye-opener for me. The kind of relationship we've established
with our students affects what they're going to become. We teachers must have patience, love , care,
kindness, and awareness of their intellectual, physical , and emotional condition, because without it,
they may feel unwanted and unworthy, leading to their failures.
This movie has success story film. The movie teaches us not to judge someone based on
what we only see. We should not discriminate our special ones because of something they can't do.
Instead help them develop their own unique gifts. I'linspiring graded in into letter A because the film is
so inspiring to everyone who have a dyslexia too. Every child has own personality. Every child has his
own dreams. And truth is we lack stability, patience and understanding as far as the child is concern
Brilliance isn't defined by your grades in school. I would definitely recommend teachers to
watch this movie to gain an appreciation of all the differences each child brings into their classroom.
Also, for the parents who have a children with disability. Their support is plays important contribution in
childs’ development and skills.
