Overview

Damien's panic over the show confuses his teammates.

Damien's kindness, wit, and ability to look out for others made him a popular contestant. He is widely respected by his team in his debut season, and very few have a personal negative opinion about him in general. One of the reasons for this was his focus on trying to get himself eliminated without antagonizing anyone else. Damien is usually left flabbergasted and confused by the antics of his fellow campers, but unlike similar cases, he tends to avoid shutting them out or outwardly expressing his frustration. Damien’s popularity meant that majority of his teammates took his side after his serious injury, and nearly everyone cheered for him when he won the first merge challenge in Total Drama Island (2024).

Axel

Damien's put off by Axel, specifically when she brings up the roasted squirrel. Axel initially thinks of Damien like the rest of her team: players that are below her and should do whatever she says.

Axel and Damien don’t get along very well.

In Taking It to the Rim Reaper, Axel helps carry Damien back to the camp after Millie injured him. In Ice to Beat You, Axel is annoyed with Damien’s screaming after their team’s bobsled reached the midpoint, asking if he was going to scream on the way back to the dock as well. He sarcastically says, “Maybe I will.” In Canoe Believe It?, Axel is one of the only four that is unhappy about Damien winning immunity over Bowie. In Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral, Axel smashes Damien’s face into a flour bag during the barge fight. Later in the episode, he is disgusted by her making out with Ripper.

Bowie

Damien and Bowie never had a chance to interact in the first season due to being on opposite teams and Damien being eliminated in Jurassic Fart before the merge. Going into the second season, Damien, unaware of Bowie's scheming ways, does not glare at him in The Pink Painter Strikes Again. Damien and Bowie would later face off in the final round of Canoe Believe It?. Bowie doesn’t think very highly of Damien’s potential: telling him to quit. Damien realizes Bowie's probably right, but desiring to go out like a “true knight”, Damien still attempts to defeat Bowie. And surprisingly he ended up winning the victory by throwing his stick at Bowie. However, neither of them seem to have any actual animosity with each other and seem to have some respect for each other.

Caleb

Caleb and Damien worked well as teammates at first. Caleb is left in disbelief as to what Millie did to Damien. But the two glare at one another when the merge is announced in Canoe Believe It?. Still, Damien is supportive of Caleb and Priya’s relationship. taking notice of their flirting, and he happily tells Zee that he felt like love is in the air. Caleb cheers for Damien when he wins immunity. Caleb laughs at Damien’s joke about Chef being unable to help them in the kitchen in Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral, and the two work well together as teammates in this episode. Damien lands between Caleb and Priya before they can share their first kiss in Haulin' n' Ballin'. Damien expresses a low opinion of Caleb after learning the “truth” about him.

He comforts a saddened Priya after Caleb’s “lies” hurt her. In Circling the Drain, Caleb advises Damien not to look up after he accidentally picked the Scary Girl punishment: a giant skull-shaped wrecking ball. Damien and the Hockey Bros are all left shocked when it’s announced that Caleb was safe. Damien supports Caleb in the finale purely out of anger that Julia stole his immunity idol. Regardless, he still attempts to be a good helper, advising Caleb not to look down at the gorge while crossing the tightrope.

Chase

Damien tries convincing Chase and Ripper it’s his fault they’re losing.

Chase has a one-sided respect for Damien after believing he was only trying to take the fall for the team’s crummy performance, enough to avoid voting for him until his heroic deeds become widespread news in Jurassic Fart.

Chris

Damien originally auditioned for Total Drama on a dare from his friends, unaware of the dangers. Chris finds this aspect of him to be “fun”, and often makes cracks at Damien’s inexperience with the show. When Damien arrives on the island in Meet the Victims, he asks where the money’s at, not aware of the fact that you don’t just receive it, and Chris asks him if he’s seen the show before, to which he responds saying he hasn’t, and asks how to get the money. Chris calls him fun, before introducing the next camper. As Chris allows everyone to ask questions, Damien asks if they’ll be getting hurt. Damien is shown to be absolutely done with Chris and the show by Drown Town Abbey, but after finding out he can’t quit, he starts a campaign to vote himself off. At the elimination ceremony in Numbskull Island, Chris gives Damien false hope at the idea of going home, before handing him his marshmallow since he only got one vote, also remarking that [they] all knew it was his own.

By Jurassic Fart, Damien has taken his campaign to the next level, as he’s made buttons to support his cause, as he’s had enough of the show. When Chris says there’s a catch, Damien freaks out due to believing it’s landmines. Damien freaks out again after hearing a roar, demanding Chris tell him what it was. At the elimination ceremony, Chris taunts Damien and Ripper while holding the last marshmallow in front of them, saying “Will it be you or you?”. When Priya and Millie explain that they convinced everyone to vote for Damien since it’s what he wanted, Chris sarcastically says it’s a happy ending, then bluntly says he doesn’t care for that. As the eliminated contestants talk about renaming the Wheel of Losers in Magma Cum Laude, Damien suggests the name; “The Wheel of People who Tried the Best”. Chris sounds his airhorn at the contestants, saying they’re not changing the name. When Damien and Priya find out the lake is made of lava, Damien freaks out, asking Chris if he’s completely flipped his pancake. Chris tells Damien to calm down, as he’s not even getting on the raft.

Chris calms Damien down as he freaks out about the challenge in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, reminding him it’s only their first day back. Damien realizes that Chris definitely hates him and the other contestants after seeing the booby traps in You Poor Saps. Damien continues considering Chris a terrible person for the rest of the season, constantly expressing vocal dislike for the host’s sadism.

Emma

Emma tries get Damien to stay still.

As a bee lands on Damien in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, Emma tries telling him to remain calm and still, right before he panics: getting himself eliminated. In an effort to save Millie, Damien votes for Emma in You Poor Saps. Damien is flabbergasted to figure out Emma would rather eat her toenails in Choosin' for a Bruisin', before she explains that she already eats her fingernails.

Julia

Damien and Julia share one interaction in Total Drama Island (2023), that being Drown Town Abbey where Julia wonders if her container is an oxygen chamber. Damien denies that and thinks it might be a money booth. Once they start filling with water, Julia encourages a terrified Damien to try a specific kind of breathing to keep his inner calm.

After hearing Damien’s would you rather question in Choosin' for a Bruisin', Julia is disgusted. After realizing Julia was behind Nichelle’s elimination in Ice to Beat You, Damien comments on how he’s learned not to mess with her. In Canoe Believe It?, Damien is scared as Julia tried using the pointy end of her dueling stick on him, and is relieved when she fails and knocks herself into the water. In Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral, Julia hits a vinegar bottle with an arrow, which causes the vinegar to fall into Damien's baking soda and explode all over him.

…and this continues for the rest of his stay on the island.

In Haulin' n' Ballin' Damien is worried to find a note that said an anonymous person knew he had the Immunity Idol, unbeknownst that it was Julia. Damien shares very little fondness for Julia, trying to explain feelings to her in Breaking Up is Hard to Do. In Circling the Drain, a rivalry brews between the two. Damien and Julia get into a competitive pushing match and they constantly attempt to beat one another. This started with Julia's belief that Damien was copying her answers. Eventually, Julia successfully gets Damien out of the challenge, and she teasingly bids him farewell after he failed to locate the Idol and got dragged away by the Drone of Despair despite his attempt at running away. In Soar Losers, Damien agrees with Nichelle when she sides with Caleb to take out Julia, due to her stealing his immunity idol. When Axel points out that she spotted something through her binoculars, Damien immediately pleads to the lord, hoping it isn't Julia. He joins everyone else in sighing when Axel says it’s Julia and follows up with saying “Come on, I said please!”

Millie

Damien asks for Millie's vote.

Damien and Millie have clear respect for each other, Damien's respect is more apparent from the beginning: handing her notebook back after Ripper tried to bully her in Pirates of the Cabbage'an. Millie seems to feel a similar way, especially by Jurassic Fart. He compliments her as having the biggest brain on the island when he needs her vote, convincing Millie to take a button. After guiding her through the episode’s challenge and saving her life, Millie shows her gratitude by asking everyone else to vote him off.

Damien and Millie have a falling out in Total Drama Island (2024) after Millie had pushed Damien down the death boot in Taking It to the Rim Reaper; a betrayal of trust which results in Damien being injured severely. Millie is left saddened after her teammates give her the cold shoulder because of this. And Damien's so angered with Millie that he compares this action to Ripper using Priya as a human shield in You Poor Saps. However, they patch things up by the end of the episode; with Damien admitting that he needed a push to take more risks.

MK

They interact in Numbskull Island, Damien spots MK's hiding place after being chased by Scary Girl on a jackhammer. Being on separate teams did not deter Damien's generosity, saving MK's life by keeping her spot a secret and attempting to redirect Scary Girl elsewhere. Unfortunately for him, MK does not feel the same way, she is quick to stab him in the back and send him out of hiding with her newly controlled shields. This successfully keeps Damien out of the challenge.

MK tries to convince Damien to vote Julia.

Damien expresses a low opinion of MK after she’s exposed for cheating in Canoe Believe It?: adding in that there’s two things he can’t stand, cheaters and double dutch. MK tries convincing Damien to vote for Julia in Breaking Up is Hard to Do, pretending she’d spilled yogurt all over his bed. However, this attempt failed, and he still voted off MK without a doubt.

Nichelle

Damien and Nichelle are on the same team in Total Drama Island (2024). It would appear as if Damien is Nichelle’s best friend this season, as he is generally seen hanging out with her. The two hold a relatively positive opinion of one another. Nichelle observes with a worried glance as Damien panics about what the first challenge would contain in The Pink Painter Strikes Again. Before the challenge in Taking It to the Rim Reaper, Nichelle is nice to Damien and Priya, high fiving them and motivating them before the challenge. Damien and Nichelle travel together for the challenge in You Poor Saps. Damien reminds Nichelle to stay silent after they realize their path was too easy. They agree that Chris hates them. After they reach a dangerous bridge, Nichelle explains to Damien that there was something like it in one of her films. Damien is surprised as he watches Nichelle successfully cross the bridge. She then encourages him to give it a try as well.

Damien and Nichelle work well together in season two of the reboot.

In Choosin' for a Bruisin', Nichelle assumes that Damien would rather camp in a graveyard for a month than go without toilet paper for a week. She is surprised when Damien would rather go without toilet paper for a week, but he reminds her he could just wash his bum instead: whereas there wasn’t much he could do about a haunting. Damien joins Nichelle in trash talking Julia before the challenge in Ice to Beat You. As Damien is worried about the challenge, Nichelle puts a comforting hand on his shoulder and assures him that Priya’s decision was right, and they smile at each other as Caleb tries hyping them up for the challenge. As Damien is confused as to why Nichelle’s quitting, she leans in to remind him that it’s a three picture deal. In Soar Losers, Damien agrees with Nichelle when she sides with Caleb to take out Julia.

Priya apologizes to Damien, as she wants to vote off Ripper before him.

Priya thinks highly of Damien with an implication that she had a small crush on him. They share a mutual respect for one another. Damien attempted to involve Priya in his campaign to eliminate himself in Jurassic Fart, and she agrees, but put her goal to eliminate Ripper first, until Damien proved himself heroic in the challenge, and she had convinced everyone to vote for him. And in the finale, Damien is chosen as Priya's helper by random. He was supportive as her helper, and worked well with her despite her anger towards Millie.

Throughout Total Drama Island (2024), Priya happily chooses Damien as a member of Team Rat Face. They don’t interact much this season due to constantly being part of separate friend groups. In spite of this, the two are still good friends. Damien was supportive of Caleb and Priya’s relationship and later one of the individuals who comforted her after she was hurt by Caleb's “lies” in Breaking Up is Hard to Do. Unfortunately, their friendship doesn’t stop them from voting each other out the game in Circling the Drain.

Raj and Wayne

Initially, Wayne and Raj think of Damien as a crummy player like the rest of the team in Total Drama Island (2023). Damien is not amused with the duo at all, flatly staring at them when they start trash talking his team. In the fourth episode, once he heard their snow owl cry, Damien asks if they ever heard an owl.

In the following season, they initially don't interact due to being on different teams but appear to have developed a friendship during the merge. In Canoe Believe It?, Wayne happily attempts to partner with Damien, even referring to the latter as “his number two”. But Damien politely has to decline, since he was already partnered with Zee. Later in the episode, they are two of the only four that is unhappy about Damien winning immunity over Bowie, though this is due to being closer with Bowie rather than any hard feelings toward Damien. In Breaking Up is Hard to Do, the Hockey Bros welcome Damien when he joins the line outside the outhouse confessional. They explain Priya’s situation to him, and the three all attempt to comfort her together. However, Damien is left in disbelief when Raj and Wayne make an inappropriate emoji joke after his attempt at explaining the concept of feelings to Julia.

In Circling the Drain, Damien expresses concern for the Hockey Bros after they’re injured. After it’s announced that Damien was the eliminated camper, Raj and Wayne sob while hugging him tightly and apologizing. Damien tries to reassure them as he walks to uncover and play his immunity idol. But the Hockey Bros are left confused as Damien pulls out a toilet plunger, due to having been vexed and stolen from by Julia. The Hockey Bros recall the fun times they had with Damien in Working K9 to 5. Although Damien chose to support Caleb in Soar Losers, he was hesitant to shoot Wayne off the high wire. And Damien had happily celebrated Wayne’s win.

Ripper

Damien gets made fun of by Ripper for being a "nerd".

Ripper doesn't think much of Damien at first, but the two initially get along well enough, apart from Damien’s exasperation and dislike for Ripper's antics and grossness. After talking with Damien in Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Ripper would learn Damien’s true nature. Upon said discovery, Ripper loudly calls Damien a nerd, although it appears to be in more of a teasing manner than any form of animosity. In spite of his call-outs, Ripper shows respect towards Damien; enough respect to follow his lead in Jurassic Fart. And at the elimination, Ripper had accepted that when compared to a likable competitor like Damien, he had seemingly no chance. It was the first time Ripper accepted defeat and was left genuinely shocked about not getting voted out.

Scary Girl

Damien overall has the worst experience with Scary Girl. In Meet the Victims, Scary Girl glances at Damien with an entertained grin on her face when he asks how the contestants are going to get hurt. After Damien gets hit by a cabbage in Pirates of the Cabbage'an, he falls into the water; fearfully screaming upon seeing a shark. As soon as the shark attempts to eat Damien, Scary Girl, who is still on the ship, shoots a cabbage at the shark and knocks it back into the water. Damien thanks Scary Girl, following it up with a rant about those kinds of sharks not belonging in this water. Unfortunately, the shark pops back up but Scary Girl warns Damien in time, which causes him to run to land. In a confessional, Scary Girl states that if Damien was eaten by the shark, he would scream a lot, which she loves, but that would mean he would never scream again, and since she didn't want that, she saved him.

Damien is terrified by Scary Girl.

When Damien celebrates not having to participate in the challenge in Drown Town Abbey, Scary Girl is one of the two teammates that doesn’t glare at him. Scary Girl is the last person to get the flag for their team. Damien, who is in the tube, applauds Scary Girl as she gets him out. Damien's dislike for Scary Girl began in Numbskull Island. Scary Girl asks Chris if the skull they bring back needs to be the ones he provided, or if it could be any skull. As Scary Girl points to Damien's head, Damien covers his head and asks why she is looking at his head; he asks someone to get her to stop. Damien says in the confessional that if he had to fight with a wolf or Scary Girl on a jackhammer, he would choose the wolf. Damien pops out from a bush, telling Scary Girl that MK is gone and that she should chase someone else, right before she chose to chase him despite being on the same team. Scary Girl states in the confessional that she can't help it, because his screams are so "delicious". As Scary Girl finally corners Damien, he’s shown genuinely fearing for his life, before Scary Girl stops to pick up the skull. Although Damien ended up voting for himself rather than Scary Girl, he is also terrified when she threatens to get revenge on those who voted for her.

Damien’s dislike for Scary Girl continues into Total Drama Island (2024). They never directly interact, but Damien was given a few painful reminders about her during the merge of the season. The first time, Damien is terrified upon seeing a standee prop of Scary Girl in the pinball challenge. The standee succeeds in what her real counterpart attempted in Numbskull Island, crushing him with a jackhammer and leaving him heavily injured. The second time, similarly to the previous occurrence, Damien is terrified upon landing on Scary Girl's punishment square, before being crushed repeatedly by a large version of the skull she had taken with her in Numbskull Island. Funny enough, Damien’s Total Drama Island: Take the Crown profile has her listed as his biggest enemy, and Scary Girl’s has Damien listed as her best friend.

Zee

Zee is too much for Damien to handle sometimes.

Damien freaks out after seeing Zee get attacked by a shark in Pirates of the Cabbage'an. He starts screaming that someone should call for an ambulance until Zee's leg is revealed to be a prosthetic. Zee perplexes Damien and sometimes frustrates him. And when Zee tells Damien an exaggerated story of how he lost his leg in Drown Town Abbey, Damien instantly believes him and questions why he'd do something so dangerous. Zee's nonchalant about Damien's confused rant, primarily just satisfied that he believed his "brain game". And when Damien's life is in peril during the challenge, Zee delays which leads to Damien yelling at him to just punch in the number. Zee, just like a lot of the team, respects Damien and goes as far as making himself Damien's biggest supporter. Zee immediately votes him out when his deeds are widespread knowledge in Jurassic Fart.

Zee restrains Damien.

A disturbed Zee physically restrains Damien as he argues with Millie in You Poor Saps. Zee also gasps in shock when Damien calls Millie a “Ripper”. Damien, Nichelle, and Zee travel together for the challenge, but Zee would eventually be left behind. Damien and Zee partner up in Canoe Believe It?. When Damien points out that Caleb and Priya are flirting, Zee tries to correct him. This is before Damien explains that Zee's explanation is exactly what flirting is. Damien gets competitive with Zee in the challenge, which Zee counters by attempting to launch Damien off their boat by throwing their weight around. However, the script is flipped and Zee is eliminated from the challenge instead. Zee doesn’t hold hard feelings, and he cheers for Damien after he won.

Damien and Zee continue to work well in Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral. Zee laughs at Damien's joke about Chef's poor culinary talent, and followed Damien's lead after he took charge. In Haulin' n' Ballin', Damien is surprised by Zee's revelation that Caleb didn't genuinely like Priya. He questions how long Zee had known that. But Damien is also left embarrassed after Zee exposes that he hadn't changed his underwear all season long. Damien voted for Zee, but indicates a level of guilt in doing so: admitting that it was good how Zee had exposed Caleb before his “lies” got worse in the next episode.
