After a friendship was ruined by one's notes about the other and their family, a schemer is confident with their chance at winning. The final challenge comes along, and all of the previously the eliminated contestants return. As one player is eliminated and explains what they wrote, their friendship is reunited, and the final two are set. After the challenge including running, drinking, rolling and puking, a contestant wins the challenge and the season, and a common enemy among some contestants is defeated, gets his long-awaited comeuppance and the winner takes home with the grand prize.
Plot[]
Millie reveals that she had spent the whole night crying over losing Priya.
Millie |
“ | [crying] Sorry. I didn't sleep that much last night. I don't know what to do. I tried to apologize to Priya b-b-b-but... I think I lost my only friend. | ” |
Priya |
“ | After all my training, I am so mad at myself for getting taken in by a fake friendship with a [rips off friendship bracelet] two-faced, book-writing liar! | ” |
Bowie |
“ | I love it when a plan comes together. Now before you get all "Bowie's mean" on the message boards, strategy’s part of the game. I told you on day one I came to snatch crowns. | ” |
Chris brings the final three to where the challenge takes place. Chef Hatchet announces that each must build a raft and use it to cross a small lake, the last one to cross is eliminated. The other two will compete in the true final challenge and win one million dollars. To build the rafts, they will use two-person saws and rope. Since they need help doing this, they bring back all the eliminated contestants.
Wayne |
“ | [Wayne]: Whoo! We're back, Rajie! [Raj]: This must be how pros feel when they've retired and then come back as commentators. |
” | Raj |
Bowie immediately tries to ask for Raj, but Chris reveals that the choice is random through the Wheel of Losers. Priya gets Damien, which they are both glad about. Millie gets Ripper, and while he is happy, she is not.
Priya |
“ | Good. She deserves to be paired with that fart monster. They both stink! | ” |
Bowie almost gets Axel but ends up getting Julia, much to his dismay, as she makes him sign a contract ordering him to give her half of the money to get revenge for his betrayal in the previous episode. Priya is still angry during the challenge, so much so that she inadvertently hurts Damien. Seeing how upset Millie is, Ripper suggests sabotaging Priya's raft so she'll jump onto her raft and forgive her.
Millie |
“ | Maybe it's 'cause I got no sleep but I'm completely desperate, but Ripper's plan seems good. | ” |
Julia asks to renegotiate her contract, but Bowie, fed up, rips it up and cuts the tree without her. But when she leaves, Bowie's saw breaks, Chris doesn't have extras and Julia takes the big end. Bowie frantically tries to cut the large tree with his little saw, while Priya and Damien leave, Millie cuts some of the ropes on her raft with Ripper's toenail clippers. Chris reveals that the lake is made of lava, much to Scary Girl's excitement and Damien and Millie's horror. Bowie finally manages to cut down the large tree and uses the single trunk as a raft.
Bowie |
“ | Track and field. Basketball. Wrestling. I've won all the trophies. And most importantly, you do not win Little Miss/Mister Fabulous Ultimate Grand Supreme by throwing in the towel just because Betsy McMasters pulled out her fire batons! And yes, this was in my pocket the whole time. | ” |
Priya's raft breaks apart but she refuses to go onto Millie's raft, and seeing how stubborn she is, Millie reveals the plan she and Ripper made.
Priya |
“ | Did Millie just... [gasps] She sabotaged my raft! | ” |
Millie defends herself, saying that Chris never originally said it was a lake of lava due to being sadistic. Damien and Julia think Priya should jump onto Millie's raft, but Axel and Scary Girl think she should take the lava. Priya almost pushes Millie into the lava so she can take her raft, but then Bowie arrives, and Priya jumps onto his raft instead.
Millie |
“ | Oh phew, she's safe. | ” |
Bowie and Priya fight with their sticks, much to Raj's horror. Priya teases Bowie, saying he's too scared to take on her instead of Millie. Millie told Priya that Bowie was the one who gave her that gift with her notebook in it, but Bowie pointed out that Millie wrote it in the first place.
Millie |
“ | Yup, it's hard to argue with that. | ” |
Priya and Bowie decide to pole vault to the finish line, leaving Millie eliminated. She asks if she read her last pages of regret, but Priya says she didn't see anything like that. Bowie reveals that he tore the page out because he couldn't risk Priya forgiving her before the challenge.
Priya |
“ | I don't care what she wrote on the last page. I don't. And I won't ask her. Because I don't care. | ” |
Priya begrudgingly relents in letting her tell her what the last page said. Millie reveals that she only wrote what she wrote because of her insecurities, so that she could think she was above everyone. She found it easier than trying to fit in, but Priya was the only one who gave her self-confidence. Touched, Priya forgives her, with most of the other campers finding this heartwarming, but Chris finds this boring and demands that Millie join the other eliminated contestants on the bench.
For the last challenge to earn the million bucks, Priya and Bowie have to race up a mountain, get into a "Turbo Orb", and then use it to cross the finish line first. Chef brings in four goats and suggests that they take them up the mountain with them, Chris happily agrees. The final two have to reach the top with both of the goats they have unharmed. Priya trips, gets trampled by Bowie, and loses her goats while Bowie's goats stop to eat grass. As Priya tries to grab her goats in a push, Bowie pushes his goats and brags about eating goat products. Bowie makes it to the top first, Chef has them milk a mother goat and drink the warm milk. Priya manages to carry her goats to the top and quickly grabs a bucket too.
Priya |
“ | As part of my training, my parents left me alone in the woods for a month with no food. I found a yak and learned to milk it. | ” |
Bowie drinks all his milk first and gets into an orb, Priya does the same too and they two begin rolling down the mountain.
|
While they are rolling down, Priya hits Bowie's orb, causing them to bounce.
Bowie |
“ | This challenge is definitely going to be my villain origin story. | ” |
Bowie and Priya both throw up while the orb is moving. This causes their orbs to be covered in white barf on the inside, so it can't be told who is in which orb.
Priya |
“ | I'm very good at not barfing... unless I see someone else barf. | ” |
Bowie and Priya are about to reach the finish line, so Chef unleashes the porcupines to stop the orbs. Bowie and Priya's orbs then get deflated and one of them crosses the finish line. It is then revealed that the person who crossed the finish line, and the winner of the season is: Priya. At this reveal, everyone celebrates except for Wayne, Raj, and Chase. Priya celebrates her victory and hugs Chris, to his disgust.
In the final elimination ceremony of the season, Chris congratulates Priya for winning and then gives her the million dollars and the last marshmallow of the season. Chris then reveals that all of the contestants will be coming back for another season. The episode and the season ends off with all of the contestants having a dance party as Chris signs off.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Priya's voice actress Eman Ayaz has stated on her TikTok account that this finale does not have an alternate ending in which Bowie wins.
- Thus, this is the first finale in the franchise to feature only one ending.
- This marks the first season finale since Hawaiian Punch to have a female winner in the United States.
- Each of the finalists has a helper who was on the same team as them:
- Both Priya and her helper Damien were members of the Ferocious Trout.
- Both Bowie and his helper Julia were members of the Frogs of Death.
- Both Millie and her helper Ripper were members of the Ferocious Trout.
- This was the first episode of the reboot to not have premiered alongside another episode in Canada, with the second being Ice to Beat You.
- Instead, it was paired up with a rerun of Meet the Victims.
Continuity[]
- This is the second finale of Total Drama to have the final three competing instead of the final two. The first episode is "Hawaiian Punch", albeit to resolve a tie that occurred in "Planes, Trains, and Hot Air Mobiles."
- Interestingly, both finales involved lava.
- This is the first finale of the main show since "Brain vs. Brawn: The Ultimate Showdown" to have all the eliminated contestants returning to see the finale.
- Bowie tried to pick Raj as his helper before Chris introduced the Wheel of Losers. This is similar to "Lies, Cries and One Big Prize" when Sky tried to pick Rodney before Chris reveals how she and Shawn are going to choose their helpers.
- When talking about the Wheel of Losers, Emma suggests naming it "The Wheel of People who Accidentally Killed a Turtle," a callback to what she did in Tortoise Rigamortis. Caleb on the other hand suggests "The Wheel of People who Never Even Got a Chance Because the Others Found Them Physically Intimidating," referencing his elimination in "Meet the Victims."
- This is the third time that an antagonist gets into the final two.
- The final Campfire Ceremony resembles "The Very Last Episode, Really!" with the winner being presented the cash prize alongside the final marshmallow, and the eliminated contestants are cheering in the background.
References[]
- The title of the episode is a wordplay from the Latin phrase magna cum laude, meaning 'with great distinction.'
- Ripper's dance is a reference to the Floss dance which was popularized by Russel Horning (or Backpack Kid).
Goofs[]
- Scary Girl's skull is gray despite it being yellow in "Numbskull Island."
- Zee is missing when Wayne and Raj are eating popcorn.
- When Raj comforts Bowie after his loss, a part of his hair is missing.
- When the cast celebrates the announcement of their second season, Ripper's nose is disconnected, looking like two different noses combined into one.
