Overview[]
Wayne and Raj have a wholesome friendship.
In Total Drama Island (2023), Wayne and Raj are introduced together as the Hockey Bros, entering as a "package deal." They have known each other since childhood and are part of the Snow Owls, a hockey team back home. They're very similar in terms of personality and tastes, leading them to become best friends. The two rarely stayed apart from each other, even going into the confessional stall together. The two goof around, showing a lack of intelligence while proving to be competent competitors in physical challenges. While they can get rough with each other, it's in a more playful affectionate way, not actually trying to hurt the other.
Both are placed on the Frogs of Death. As the season progressed, Raj discovers he's gay when he began developing a mutual crush on Bowie. Wayne's secretly aware of this, suspecting he was gay for quite a while. Not only is he aware, he's supportive, Wayne is extremely happy that Raj found someone who liked him back. Even though he wanted to celebrate and shower him with support, he decided to let Raj come out on his own terms out of respect for his privacy. He did try to subtly hint to Raj he could tell him, and supported him no matter what. Raj was seemingly oblivious of what he was trying to propose, which makes Wayne question if Raj trusted him. Eventually, Raj decided to come out to him while they were falling down a cliff. The two were severely injured and had to be medically evacuated from the competition.
In Total Drama Island (2024), Wayne and Raj are placed on the same team thanks to Bowie. They form a trio with Raj's boyfriend Bowie, and still continue their humorous friendship. For several episodes, the Hockey Bros were the only members of Team Skunk Butt to oppose Julia and MK's cheating. During the merge, the two share a similar performance, as they often fail or get injured during the challenges together. Unfortunately, later on, Raj is eliminated, forcing Wayne to continue on his own. Wayne began showing signs of separation anxiety, as he and Raj do everything and go everywhere together. However, he was able to move on after accepting that there will be times when they would have to be apart. Wayne misses Raj after the latter's elimination, but the two are reunited in Soar Losers when Wayne has become a finalist; so as one would expect, Raj passionately cheers on his best friend.

Wayne and Raj agree that the other team isn’t so impressive.
The two were introduced simultaneously, being referred to as a package deal. The two made fun of the other contestants and were placed on the Frogs of Death. As they were unpacking, Wayne and Raj talked about how there were some real "hotties," only to be interrupted by Bowie. They laughed when Chris said "booby" traps and were given different tasks. Wayne would go through the obstacle course with Nichelle and Raj was to help pull the chum bucket up. When things are looking bad for the Frogs of Death, Wayne tells Nichelle to get on his back as he is a piggy back champ. Raj backs this up saying that Wayne has won the Prince Albert Piggyback Tournament 3 years straight. During the elimination ceremony, they didn't fully understand how voting for someone works on Total Drama, so they voted for each other; fist bumping after confirming this fact to each other, until Chris explains that they vote to eliminate someone.
Pirates of the Cabbagean[]
Wayne and Raj love their hockey team.
Wayne became the Frogs of Death's ship's captain. He and Raj came up with a plan—which was peppered in hockey term—for everyone to knock out the Ferocious Trout off their ship so they can't shoot them. While everyone was unaware what they were saying, they explain it in a way they can. While being congratulated by Chris for winning, they revealed in their confessional that they plan on becoming beekeepers if becoming pro hockey players doesn't work out, under the assumption that bees make maple syrup instead of honey.
Drown Town Abbey[]
Raj and Wayne enter beast mode.
Wayne and Raj are together at the outside of the cabins as they talk to Nichelle about her best moves in her action films. Raj and Bowie were sitting together talking about breakfast and how Raj swallowed three teeth when Wayne came by and challenged Raj to see who would finish first. The two playfully rough house when Wayne accuses Raj of cheating. During the challenge, Wayne and Raj tell the team to grab a knee as they will discuss their game strategy, however Emma and MK interrupt them. Later, Wayne and Raj motivate each other as they complete the obstacle course. The two were upset to learn Nichelle actually had to use a stunt double for her roles, but take solace that they believe wrestling can still be trusted.
Numbskull Island[]
Wayne and Raj do not approve of murder or illegal play.
Wayne and Raj were disappointed that Nichelle and her stunts were fake, as they thought everything on TV was real. This led to Wayne and Raj thinking that since Nichelle didn't actually stop an alien invasion like she did in a movie, the aliens are still coming for Earth. Much to MK's amusement, they end up having an existential crisis as the two realize they were on TV, which made them think they weren't real. During the challenge, Wayne and Raj were trying to get the Ferocious Trout's skull when Ripper released boulders. Bowie lunged out to save Raj and laid on top of him, while Wayne was crushed by the rock and saw what happened. In the confessional, Wayne admits he speculates that Raj might be gay, and excitedly reveals that he can't wait for him to tell him.
Jurassic Fart[]

Raj and Wayne were sitting with Julia as they eat their breakfast of baked beans. Julia talked that it was on the inside that matters. This escalated to them turning the saying into a joke about about their fecal matter, much to her disgust. Much to their delight and amusement, the beans caused everyone to fart, with them letting one out. As it looked like Raj was coming out to Wayne, he instead asks if he had hockey tape on him. The two reused a prank they pulled on a hockey teammate one of the raptors. They made a large scale slingshot and the raptor flung away. They then slide on green muddy substance while "turbo boosting."
The Launchback of Notre Game[]

Raj and Wayne were looking for their "lucky fake beards" as they can't grow their own yet, which made Wayne thinking he ate them in his sleep. After puking up things he did eat, he still couldn't find them. The two wanted to go on the catapult together, but for safety reasons they have to take turns. Raj went first but fell into the tapioca pudding pit. Wayne tried to rescue Raj but fell in the bull pit which forced Bowie to save him instead. Raj impulsively kisses Bowie, unaware Wayne saw them with delight. In the confessional, Raj said it felt right to kiss Bowie, while Wayne is happy and proud of him for doing it, he calms down as he can't celebrate until he told him. After discovering MK had not only stole their beards to sell online, but looked at everyone's confessionals, and that Julia claimed she saw everyone pooping in there, Wayne and Raj were in the confessional together. Wayne was upset as he didn't had good "pooping face," while Raj comforted him.
Severe Eggs and Pains[]
The duo pair up for the challenge, as Wayne wants Raj to come out.
Throughout the episode, Wayne not-so-subtly hinted to Raj he could tell him that he's gay but Raj didn't seen to understand what he was implying, making Wayne wonder if Raj didn't trust him. Early in the morning, the two are walking together talking about how "nutty" yesterday was, when Wayne asks about what the craziest thing that happened to Raj. He replied the it was the "pudding shark" from yesterday. In Raj's confessional, he stated it was actually kissing Bowie on the lips, while in Wayne's, he began to wonder if Raj doesn't think he would support him, and if he kissed the shark as well. He decides to put more effort than he has put into anything to show Raj he will support him. While trying to find a cassowary, Wayne reminds Raj on how they trust each other with secrets they would never share with anyone. Raj has something to say, that he found eggs, only for them to immediately be separated by a very angry bird. Later on, Wayne finds Raj getting attacked by a cassowary. Determined to save his best buddy, Wayne throws himself head first into the brawl. The rescue attempt fails as they're brutally beaten by the bird and knocked off a cliff. As they fall off the cliff, Raj tells Wayne that he has to tell him something, Wayne tells him that he is listening and to tell him, then Raj tells Wayne that he kissed Bowie and that he is gay, which makes Wayne happy, Wayne thanks Raj for telling him and Raj tells him that he is his best friend and that of course he was going to tell him. They end up severely injured to the point that even Chris and Chef agree they had to be removed from the competition and rushed to a hospital. While being taken away by the Drone of Despair, they sing the Canadian national anthem.
Magma Cum Laude[]
Wayne and Raj had fully recovered and are excited to be back for the finale, and seeing Bowie. They have a confessional, and Raj thinks that the feeling they are experiencing must be like when pro hockey players retire but then later come back as commentators. Wayne and Raj are both shocked to see the lava. They both cheer for Bowie, and hoot for him too. During the finale, they are seen eating popcorn, and when Raj gets too nervous to watch, Wayne begins sneakily eating his popcorn. After Bowie makes it to the final 2, Raj sees his popcorn and asks Wayne where it had gone. After Millie apologizes to Priya, they are so saddened by her speech that they both begin crying into each other's arms. After the 2nd season is announced and Chef says it's time to party, Wayne and Raj bounce up and down, partying for the next season.

The Pink Painter Strikes Again[]
Raj and Wayne are confused by who Scary Girl is with her new appearance.
Wayne and Raj fall out of the plane together holding onto each other, and are shown holding onto each other crying while in the water, and holding each other for support when recovering. As they walk across the Island, they are approached by Scary Girl, to which they don't recognise with her new appearance. She asks them if they agree how great it is that no one was eaten by a shark or landed on a rock, as that would've not brought her any joy. Confused, Wayne replies saying that would've been bad. Scary Girl walked off, and Raj asks Wayne who that was, to which he shares his disarray. Later as they walk to the bleachers, Wayne reminds the rest of the group who himself and Raj are.
After being persuaded by Raj, Bowie picks Wayne for the Skunk Butts, they hug as a trio, and then Wayne and Raj have a confessional. Wayne confesses how he worried himself and Raj would be on separate teams, Raj agrees and says that apart they'd be like a bike with one wheel. Wayne asks what you'd call a bike with one wheel and Raj determines the name 'One-cycle'.

During the challenge, Raj comments "On a dime, bro." to Wayne to which he replies saying "Start and stop to get to the top!". After hearing their short conversation, Axe Hatchet begins spinning fast and fast, confusing Wayne and Raj at whether she can see them moving. They run, and are both, as well as Scary Girl and Axel, are shot repeatedly with pink paint filled balloons. At the elimination ceremony, Wayne and Raj consult each other at who to vote, but are stuck as everyone pulled their part today. However, after Scary Girl's creepy comments they quickly determine who they are voting. Wayne and Raj smile at each other when they receive marshmallows.
Taking It to the Rim Reaper[]

Wayne agrees with Raj when Bowie tells Ripper to be upfront with Axel like he did with Raj. Wayne and Raj asks Ripper how did it go with Axel, but all Ripper had to show for it was a sad face. Wayne and Raj goof before the challenge about slides and how their poops are slam dunks. The two along with MK and Julia go down the two pointer slide with the Hockey Bros missing the shot. Wayne and Raj go down the three pointer slide together despite Bowie telling them otherwise, which gets them stuck as the toilet is too small. Bowie tries to rescue them by using the force of him going down but gets jammed in too. Wayne, who is in between Raj and Bowie, feels that he is ruining a romantic moment between his bestie and his boyfriend by being there. They were both called out for clogging the toilet, which cost their team valuable time.
You Poor Saps[]

Before the challenge, Wayne and Raj are both shocked after coming to the realization that Chris was making the challenges difficult on purpose. When Julia and MK present them and their teammates with a can of sap removal, Raj and Wayne both refuse to cheat. They high five each other; getting their hands stuck together. Eventually, they would be so tangled that MK forcefully sprayed them with the sap remover despite their pleas against it. Both Raj and Wayne feel dirty after having been forced to cheat. They eventually start crying, which leads the other members of Team Skunk Butt to have to work around them. Bowie brings Raj and Wayne to the finish line. Raj and Wayne are both filled with even more guilt after their team wins, and a scene is shown in which the duo showers in an attempt to rid themselves of the "essence of cheating".
Choosin' for a Bruisin'[]
When talking with Julia and MK in the cabins, Raj and Wayne agree that they wanted to play fair, fist bumping on the idea of fair play in the day's challenge. Raj and Wayne demonstrate the cyclone spin cycle together after Caleb answers Raj's question.
Ice to Beat You[]

As Raj and Wayne walk to their team's cabin together, Raj discusses how the average human swallows a liter of spit a day with Wayne. The Hockey Bros happily skate together after MK presented them with ice skates; unaware that it was just a distraction. But when the Hockey Bros see a map on Ripper's stomach, Raj is angered to learn their team was still cheating. Wayne is unaware of what's happening, so Raj whispers in his ear, causing Wayne to agree with Raj's sentiment, also adding that cheating is not just wrong, but very wrong. The Hockey Bros and Bowie oppose Julia, MK, and to a lesser extent ripper’s cheating with a snowball fight, and both Raj and Wayne are left disappointed when their team wins because of cheating yet again.
Canoe Believe It?[]
Raj chooses to partner up with Bowie instead of Wayne. But it appears like Wayne has no hard feelings about this. Both cheer for Bowie together after being eliminated in the first round. Raj and Wayne would also sigh when Damien won immunity instead of Bowie, and they both vote against MK.
Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral[]

Raj and Wayne were initially unhappy that they were paired with Julia as she was responsible Bowie's elimination. However, after realizing it's similar to a member of a rival team getting into their own, they decide to make it work. The two body chuck Julia, much to her annoyance. Raj and Wayne ended up being almost useless at the beginning as they picked up weapons as ingredients and played baseball with the eggs. After Julia sent them to get more eggs, they came across a chicken coup. And Wayne assured Raj that he could handle it, since he had frequent visits to his uncle's chicken farm in Saskatchewan. But the two would be beaten by the chickens. Similarly, they are also attacked by a rhino too.
Haulin' n' Ballin'[]

At the start of the challenge, Wayne comes up with an idea of traveling faster than all the other campers. Raj praises Wayne for his intelligence. The two fool around, though. And Wayne would eventually go plummeting down the mountain, separating the two. But Raj was unaware of how Wayne was genuinely lost, assuming he was just going to use the bathroom. And after Raj gets out of the challenge, he calls out that it was all up to Wayne now.

Circling the Drain[]

At the start of the episode, Wayne can be seen spoon feeding Raj after the latter suffered from food poisoning in the previous episode. Wayne feeds Raj exactly how his mother fed him; with hockey-based attempts at fling the food into Raj's mouth, while saying "He shoots." However, all of these attempts miss; getting food all over Raj's face. The Hockey Bros are confused with the memory game challenge a few times, in addition to getting nearly every round incorrect. At the elimination ceremony, both Raj and Wayne tearfully apologize to Damien after he's voted out.
Working K9 to 5[]

At the start of the episode, Wayne and Raj are seen sitting together on the dock, discussing the previous episode's elimination. They share memories of the times they had with Damien. They both greatly miss him, which they state in their next confessional together. As they've done for most of the season, Raj and Wayne head into the challenge together as well, first attempting to evade the dogs by eating their socks; the only thing they could be tracked by since the dogs had become accustomed to the smell of their socks.
Raj has to take one for the team several times in this episode.
But after that attempt fails, the Hockey Bros were left with no choice but to climb a tree. Raj lets Wayne go first; crouching down so the latter could stand on his back. And after this succeeds, Wayne extends his hand out to Raj. But with the dogs close, Raj was left with no choice but to run away to a nearby shed. This is the first time the Hockey Bros were separated during a challenge. After coming in and seeing Raj's shredded clothes and a torn apart test dummy, Wayne assumed he was dead; lamenting the loss of his friend, unaware that this was a fake Raj. When the real Raj arrives in just his underwear, Wayne is relieved. The Hockey Bros would continue their performance throughout the challenge together; being the first two out easily. The Hockey Bros vote for Caleb, after having flipped a coin. And in a confessional, it is shown that they flipped the coin and it fell in the outhouse toilet, so Wayne stuck Raj's head down the toilet so they could tell which side the coin landed on. This demonstrates that sometimes the two enjoy teasing each other in a playful manner. At the elimination, Raj is voted out after Priya chose to cast the deciding vote against him. This leaves Wayne devastated. But he shares a final goodbye with Raj. Raj comforts Wayne, telling him that they'll be together in the end, even if it didn't mean getting there together. Wayne cries in Raj's arms as the latter pats his back.
Off the Hook![]
Wayne, still saddened by Raj's elimination, attempts to comfort himself by playing hockey with a bucket that had Raj's face drawn on it. But he is still very lonely; which leads to a cutaway gag in which Wayne is shown lamenting over Raj's departure while a somber song which appears to be a reference to the separation anxiety Wayne is experiencing plays.
Soar Losers[]
"Hoot, Hoot!"
When seeing the eliminated campers return, Wayne hopes that Raj chose to support him. Raj shouts out that he did, which leaves his friend happy and relieved. As for some inexplicable reason, Wayne was worried Raj wouldn't root for him. Raj joins Wayne's other supporters in passionately cheering for him. After Wayne was distracted by the ice cream bar, Raj attempted to get him back on track, only to join him in eating ice cream instead. But after Bowie shouted at the two to get their heads in the game, they proudly say the Snow Owls slogan together.
Raj lifts Wayne out of the water after the latter is announced as the winner.
Raj assists Wayne as he crossed the high wire, albeit accidentally knocking him down with the T-shirt cannon when attempting to provide him with "free T-shirts". But Raj would also provide Wayne with the advice of trying to avoid falling. After the competition gets tighter with each finalist rapidly approaching the finish line, Raj proudly cheers for Wayne. Raj would happily celebrate after Wayne wins the season, also helping him out the water after his collision with the dock.

At the final campfire of the season, Raj proudly puts his hand on Wayne's shoulder and explains how Wayne wanted to use the money to buy a bus for their hockey team in addition to putting some aside for college. But the two would change their minds, deciding to just buy two buses so their hockey team could move around "twice as fast". To end the season, Wayne and Raj giddily hoot and laugh the night away.

- They are the first pair to share and be referred to as their label, the Hockey Bros.
- This is the fifth pair of contestants to know each other prior to the show. The other pairs are Katie and Sadie, Duncan and Mal, Amy and Samey, and Chase and Emma.
- They've had the most double confessionals together in Total Drama.
- According to Terry McGurrin, Raj and Wayne have known each other for their entire lives. He also cited their relationship as so easy to define in a quick way that audition tape from the season premiere.[1]
- They are two of the few contestants who had to leave due to extensive injury.
- In Total Drama Island: Take the Crown, their files lists each other as their best friend.
- This is the third pair to be eliminated simultaneously. The others are:
- Bridgette and Geoff in "Alien Resurr-eggtion" (Action).
- Blaineley and Courtney in "Chinese Fake-Out" (World Tour).
- Caleb and Julia in "Soar Losers" (Island (2024)).
- According to Raj, the two share jock straps as they have the same body shape and size.
- They are the only Total Drama Island (2023) mergees to never be a part of an alliance in that season.
- They have been attacked by birds while searching for eggs in the seventh and double elimination episode of both seasons they compete in.
- They are the highest-ranking male members of Team Skunk Butt, with Wayne ranking higher than Raj.
- They were on the same team in both seasons they competed in.
- According to Terry McGurrin, if he were to choose his favorite characters of the Total Drama reboot out of the gate, he would choose Raj and Wayne.
- Ironically, the only vote casted against Wayne was Raj's vote back in the reboot premiere episode.
