This article focuses on the interactions between everyone and Emma.

Overview[]

Emma Got Him

As liked as Emma may be, her messy behavior tends to leave others around her uncomfortable.

Emma's emotional instability and erratic attitude had turned off and drawn away a few people. But nevertheless, she is decently liked because of her caring and empathetic personality. But because of her tendencies to prioritize her ex-boyfriend over her true friends and the game, even, Emma is very distant from the other cast members at times. However, she did receive acknowledgement from certain players for her status as a challenge beast and her excellent performance in challenges. This makes Emma a valuable asset to her teams throughout the series.

Axel[]

Axel threatens Emma

Axel threatens Emma.

Axel and Emma have no interactions until the second season where they're properly placed on the same team. They lack any kind of conflict yet never had a developed friendship either up until Choosin' for a Bruisin'. Emma failing her team with her consistent wrong answers quickly angers Axel. She gets up in her face and threatens Emma to choose the right answer, turning Emma into a nervous wreck. Unfortunately she fails Axel, leaving the latter to complain about her poor judge of character: pointing out that she dated a guy who cut her breaks out of opposition to Priya's idea. Once they lose the challenge, Axel had enough of Emma and votes her off.

Bowie[]

EmmaBowiespace

Bowie's done with Emma and wants some space.

Bowie and Emma had hit it off from the beginning, Bowie loves Emma's vibe and entertains himself with her drama involving Chase. He sees her as a worthwhile member for an alliance and protects her from the first elimination ceremony. In return, Emma is grateful and aligns herself with Bowie. They start to become good friends.

Bowie eventually goes behind Emma's back and votes off her boyfriend in The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth. Their powerful alliance came to an abrupt halt in the next episode because of this. Emma is consumed by rage and refuses to talk to him as well. Any semblance of friendship they had is gone. After sabotaging his chances to win the challenge and breaking off their alliance: Bowie refuses to help Emma or take her side when she's accused of killing a turtle, in addition to losing all respect he once had for her. They end the season on sour terms.

Despite being well aware of the truth in her returning season, Emma still appears to harbor resentment against Bowie for going behind her back. She is one of the few glaring at him and keeps up that attitude throughout the rest of the season.

Caleb[]

In one of the promotional images for the TD reboot, Emma can be seen admiring Caleb. She would indeed harbor an attraction towards him in canon too. When Caleb arrives on the island in the first episode of Total Drama Island (2023), Emma's one of the contestants immediately attracted to Caleb on sight. This carries throughout the episode, when she barely avoids elimination she immediately rubs it in Caleb's face then tries to apologize. Her feelings for him persist, gushing about the idea of him taking off his shirt in Pirates of the Cabbage'an. Caleb's implied to be frustrated with Emma and the rest of the team for voting him off over her.

Several months later, Caleb appears to be over it by the time everyone's back for the rematch season: focused on placing better instead of holding onto grudges. Emma still appears to have attraction toward Caleb as she spitefully describes him as hot, strong and emotionally mature in The Pink Painter Strikes Again. She is amazed by his feats of strength and Caleb has no qualms trying to work with her or cheering her on for the win. In You Poor Saps, Caleb and Emma had gladly travelled together for the challenge. While running to the finish line, Caleb asks Emma if she's alright. She responds, pointing out the cat that was punching her. The cooperation the two had is short lived when Caleb chooses to prioritize an alliance with Priya at Emma's expense, joining the others in voting her off. Emma supports Caleb in Soar Losers, out of desire to see Julia lose. She cheers "Go, Team Not Julia!"

Chef Hatchet[]

Chef is disappointed with Emma and her choice to get back together with Chase. Emma is called out in Meet the Victims for letting her emotions get in the way. In Severe Eggs and Pains, Chef criticizes the pairing: saying no one cares for that. When Emma chooses to forgive Chase once again, Chef thinks it's a real shame.

Chef calls Emma out in You Poor Saps for looking like a chicken: ridiculous. He calls her out again in Choosin' for a Bruisin' for failing to get a single question right.

Chase[]

Chaseapologizedaboutthecandybar

Emma finds out that Chase isn't sorry for cutting her brakes.

Chase and Emma arrive broken up. Emma's had enough of Chase after he cut her brakes, only wanting to see him in pain. Chase's failure to understand why angers her further. Despite this, Emma reveals that she just wants an apology and missed being in love. Chase missed it too, but he took Emma for granted and always denied accountability for his actions. Chase attempts to win Emma over again by proving to her that he is indeed “selfless” in The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth, but Emma was not swayed by his supposed “Chase Charms” until he bailed on the challenge for pizza; knocking everyone else off their poles and giving her immunity. She mistakes this for selflessness because of Julia. After Chase was eliminated, Emma took him back, much to his surprise, even.

In their second season together, Emma is fully done with Chase after learning the truth behind his "sacrifice". Chase's attempts to talk are fully shut down in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, as he still chooses to deny any kind of accountability. Other than a few spiteful comments directed his way, their interactions are cut short after Emma manipulates Chase's ego to make him do badly in a challenge in Taking It to the Rim Reaper: costing him the game. However, funny enough, Chase indirectly caused Emma's team to lose and for her to get voted off in Choosin' for a Bruisin' after she failed to answer his “Would You Rather?” question.

Chris[]

Chris can be seen restraining Emma when she first attempted to attack Chase in Meet the Victims. Chris would continue to express dislike for Chase and Emma's relationship, as everyone else would. In addition to this, he frequently berates them while narrating or providing commentary on their relationship drama. It was even hinted at that Chris brought the two onto the show together for the sake of creating more drama.

Damien[]

As a bee lands on Damien in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, Emma tries telling him to remain calm, right before he panics: getting himself eliminated. Damien is flabbergasted to figure out Emma would rather eat her toenails in Choosin' for a Bruisin'. But the latter simply explains that she already bites her fingernails, so toenails wouldn't be much different.

Julia[]

JuliaturningEmmaagainstBowie

Julia takes advantage of Emma for her own gain.

Not even Julia's fake kindness act could stop some of her harsh opinions from slipping out against Emma. Since the beginning, Julia dislikes Emma and her appearance while also being weirded out by her behavior. Emma, despite being conflicted by Julia's passive aggressive remarks, attempts to be patient with her at first, such as respecting her and her abilities in challenges.

Once Julia reveals her true self, their dislike turns into mutual hatred, with Emma calling her a wannabe internet star in Severe Eggs and Pains. From that point forward they developed a rivalry that persists throughout the merge. Even though they're enemies, Julia's able to manipulate Emma and turn her against Bowie in Tortoise Rigamortis, costing Emma the game.

Emma and Julia don't interact much in Total Drama Island (2024) but their mutual dislike carries over, shown through events such as Julia tackling Emma or Emma passionately calling Caleb's team “Team Not Julia” in the season finale.

Millie[]

Millie secretly judges Emma, writing in her notebook about the stupid things she's done. In spite of her doing this, Millie and Emma do not share hard feelings, Millie even took her side against Chase in Numbskull Island. They spend the game in separate alliances and target each other. An agitated Emma does tell Millie to just show Priya the notebook already in The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth, and Emma would join her alliance in attempting to vote Millie off in this episode. In Tortoise Rigamortis, Emma nearly puts Julia, Millie, and Priya in danger. At the vote, Millie and Priya vote off Emma, and Millie admits that if Emma hadn't performed so well, she'd still be on the island; indicating they were considering voting against Bowie. Despite their small rivalry from always being on opposing alliances, Emma finds Millie's sentiment in Magma Cum Laude beautiful.

They get chosen to be on the same team in the second season where they are shown to get along decently enough. But Emma turns against Millie after the latter had pushed Damien down the Death Boot. In You Poor Saps, Millie mistakes Emma for a blonde chicken; on account of her feather-covered state. Offended by this, Emma sarcastically calls Millie “hilarious”. At the vote, Emma and Millie vote for each other; resulting in a 3-5 vote against Millie.

MK[]

Haha MK is mean

Emma wants MK to be positive.

Emma and MK’s interactions vary greatly from episode to episode. They fail to bond because of their contrasting personalities. In Meet the Victims, Emma says she’d donate twenty-five percent of the prize money to an animal hospital, to which MK comments that she remembers Emma first mentioning donating half. In Drown Town Abbey, Emma is annoyed with MK, Raj and Wayne for getting sidetracked, loudly shouting out their team’s order on her own. When Nichelle struggles during her turn, Emma tries getting the rest of the team to help motivate her, while MK comments on how poorly she believes Nichelle is performing.

Emma and MK ep4

Emma tries to comfort MK.

In Numbskull Island, MK finds a computer room that controls the shields during the challenge and helps Emma retrieve the Trout’s skull. After the team wins, the other members do not credit MK for her contribution, although Emma says she couldn’t have done it without her help. Although MK is slightly grateful for this, she snaps at Emma after thanking her; since the latter only said this after their teammates already left. In The Launchback of Notre Game, when Emma returns from the penalty zone with the rodeo bull, she is dizzy and requests for someone to “stop the world from spinning”, and MK makes a remark about how it’d trigger massive earthquakes and tsunamis, and she wouldn’t want that on her conscience. Emma starts cheering when Chris informs the Frogs about their lead in the challenge but falls over. MK makes a comment about it being why she keeps her celebrations pocket sized. Before the vote, Julia dumps out a bag containing everything MK has stolen since most presumably the first episode, including Emma’s hairbrush. Once MK is exposed, Emma refuses to give her the benefit of the doubt and votes her off.

In You Poor Saps, Julia and MK push a tree onto Caleb, Emma, and Priya. In Soar Losers, Emma joins Priya in barraging MK as retaliation after she shot at their team.

Nichelle[]

NichellelistenstoEmma

Emma admires Nichelle as an actress.

When Nichelle first arrives, Emma is amazed by her presence: recognizing her from Gorgeous People High. Nichelle shows to be confused often by Emma's antics, staring at her awkwardly when she celebrates in front of Caleb. In Pirates of the Cabbagean, Nichelle encourages Emma to aim for their ships and starts getting annoyed when Emma keeps prioritizing Chase instead. She finds it a terrible gameplay decision and counterproductive to their goal of sinking the enemy's ship. Despite clashing in priorities, Nichelle does her best to work with Emma and happily soaked in all the praise Emma gave her in Drown Town Abbey. Emma is the least judgmental of Nichelle in comparison to the rest of her team as when the latter breaks down, she successfully encourages Nichelle to try to win.

Nichelle checks up on Emma

Emma ignores Nichelle completely in their second season.

However, despite being the least harsh on Nichelle, Emma ironically still thinks lowly of her as a player. This is explicitly revealed in the second season where she joins the others in shunning Nichelle, outright refusing to talk to her when Nichelle tries to reach out. Emma believes there's no point in bonding with her as she'll likely be the first boot in The Pink Painter Strikes Again. Emma eats her words very quickly the instant Nichelle proves her worth to the team and overtakes the former's role as a challenge beast. By the fourth episode, Nichelle grew tired of Emma once she flubbed the challenge. She joins the rest of her team in voting her off.

Priya[]

Competitive Glance

Priya and Emma glare at each another when the teams are merged.

Priya and Emma shared a small rivalry at first. In Numbskull Island, Emma attempted to spray Priya, before a shield protects her. Emma shouts that she simply got lucky this time. Their dynamic is more focused on once the teams dissolve in Severe Eggs and Pains, labeling each other as a threat from here on out. They'd be part of opposing alliances during the merge, not allowing much camaraderie. In Paddle Field Earth, Emma voted for Priya before the revote. Emma has no qualms nearly getting Priya and Millie attacked by lions for the lead in Tortoise Rigamortis's challenge. Priya most presumably joined Millie in voting for Emma at this episode’s elimination ceremony. However, it never gets personal and neither of them hold a grudge against each other.

All of their conflict is strictly from the game and their opposing alliances. That small rivalry is shown to have earned Priya's respect in the second season: instantly picking Emma as a second choice for her team. Now that they're no longer forced to oppose each other from unfortunate happenstance, Priya immediately acts friendly to Emma. They support each other in challenges and wanted to form an alliance. Alas, they were forced to oppose each other from circumstance once again. When Millie was in the line of fire, Priya took her side even if it came at Emma's expense in You Poor Saps.

Priya influences Emma

Priya tries and fails to bring the best out of Emma.

In Choosin' for a Bruisin', Priya allowed Emma to help Emma answer questions. This fails, making Priya have to resort to having the other teammates pick the opposite of what Emma said. And she is left angered when finding out Priya was tricking her; to the point of quitting on the challenge. This resulted in Priya now attempting to work with Emma again as their team had one final chance; having her answer “against her gut feeling”. However, even this did not solve the problem; resulting in their team's second loss. And at the vote, Emma and Priya attempted to vote each other out, with Priya surviving the bottom two between them. However, it is indicated that this short conflict wasn't very personal, as they work together well as Caleb's helpers in Soar Losers.

Raj and Wayne[]

Wayne likes Emma’s “strategy”

Wayne compliments Emma’s “game plan”.

Emma's interactions with Raj and Wayne are mostly friendly, and she’s usually just confused by their constant hockey speak and mannerisms. In Meet the Victims, Wayne and Raj agree that their team has some hotties. This implies that they find Emma decently good-looking. Emma's praised by Wayne for her unintentional strategic play in Pirates of the Cabbagean, and Wayne gets confused by Emma's intense celebration over hitting Chase off the ship. In Drown Town Abbey when Wayne and Raj get sidetracked from talking with MK, Emma has enough and loudly calls their order, surprising everyone in their team. Emma yells at Wayne to get moving when it’s his turn. And along with MK and Nichelle, Emma is confused by Raj’s odd way of motivating Wayne.

Cat Wayne real

Emma expresses shock as she watches Wayne cough up items “cat-style”.

After Emma tries to call the Hockey Bros immature to no avail in Jurassic Fart, Raj and Wayne are shown covering their ears and laughing when she farts. After she arrives at the finish line, the duo cheers for her. As Emma watches Wayne start coughing items up in Launch Back of Notre Game, she awkwardly says that she always wanted a cat. Once Emma hears about Bowie and Raj's relationship in Severe Eggs and Pains, Emma's excited for them both. She's happy for Raj and that he successfully found love.

As soon as she breaks her friendship with Bowie, she never directly speaks to the Hockey Bros ever again, sharing minimal interaction with Raj and Wayne after this. However, she likely still has a positive opinion on the two. In Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral, Wayne and Raj recall that Emma once told them something about getting attacked by chickens. Despite supporting Caleb in Soar Losers and having been shocked when Axel spotted Wayne gliding for the finish line, Emma is happy for Wayne when he wins and joins the rest of the cast in celebrating his victory.

Ripper[]

RipperflirtswithEmma

Ripper shamelessly flirts with Emma.

Ripper finds Emma attractive, flirting with her over her farts and calling her a "pretty face". Emma in turn finds Ripper repulsive and wants nothing to do with him. When the merge comes around, Ripper lacks much of any care for Emma's relationship with Chase, nor finds it all that surprising when they get back together.

Emma can be seen screaming as Ripper farted in You Poor Saps. Ripper gets a read on Emma's nail biting habit in Choosin' for a Bruisin', correctly answering a question about her as a result.

Scary Girl[]

Emma, like the rest of the contestants, is afraid of Scary Girl despite their lack of interactions. In Choosin' for a Bruisin', Emma assumes Scary Girl would not want anyone else to know what she's thinking when her “Would You Rather?” question was between eating Chef's food or being questioned by Chef after drinking a truth serum. Emma is disturbed by Scary Girl's joyous reaction to Caleb and Julia's crash in Soar Losers.

Zee[]

Zee&Emmabirdtalk

Emma tries to tell Zee what a cassowary is.

Zee is fairly nice to Emma, praising her performance in Numbskull Island. Once they merge in Severe Eggs and Pains, Emma attempts to be friendly and explain to Zee what a cassowary is, but him failing to get it leaves her a little annoyed. In Paddle Field Earth, Emma does not want to ally with Chase and would rather flirt with Zee instead. She does not go through with the latter option, Zee still agrees to join her alliance with Bowie and Chase. Emma misconstrues Zee's intentions, assuming he's a strategic genius. Zee has no idea what she's talking about. Zee later saved Chase and Emma from bears. At the vote, Emma is left frustrated when Zee revealed his real plan: to vote off Chris. This causes her to take back any compliments she had and she votes him out the game. Zee thinks positively of Emma regardless if she voted him off.

As Zee was up in Choosin' for a Bruisin', Emma encouraged him to just not think and pick the answer she told him to pick. In response, a confessional of Zee is shown in which he calls not thinking his “superpower”. Zee unintentionally reveals that Priya was messing with Emma's head. And after the latter caused their team to lose, Zee voted her out of the game.
