hey guys! i just wanted to take this chance to level with ya'll. i've been planning to do this for a while, but couldn't really find a proper time to talk about it, but after i saw how embarrassingly small my watch count was for last month (4 logs lol), i decided now was as good a time as ever.

you've all probably already noticed that i've been far more inactive for the past few months than usual. that's for a lot of reasons:

1) my school computer blocked letterboxd so i don't really have a way to use it too much in my free time

2) school's started and i've been really busy

3) most of the free time that i do have has been dedicated to making videos, and right now i'm mainly interested in making videos about video games rather than movies (though i do have some movie-related content planned in the future)

4) something happened over the summer that made me realize that i probably should tone back on being on here so much and that i was kind of starting to become chronically online. (this event was also part of why i set my comment sections to friends only)

because of that, i've decided to become considerably less active. i'm still gonna be watching movies and logging stuff when i see it, but i'm unfortunately not gonna be able to be quite as active anymore. i'm not gonna be able to like every review anymore. i'm not gonna be able to be as personally connected to each of you anymore, and it's really unfortunate that i have to say that but it's true. i'm still gonna reply to stuff when i see it and i'm especially likely to reply if it's on my massive paint drying discussion review, but i'm not gonna be able to be as closely connected with each and every one of you at the level i was before, and for that i'm really really sorry. i love you all and have had great times talking with all of you, and most likely still will in the future. i just won't be here quite as often as i was before.

so as for the future of this account, i'm still gonna be making reviews like i said, and i do have some movies that i really wanna get going on watching (especially my del toro marathon that i'm still doing), though my other marathons like the ghibli marathon and watchlist challenge might have to wait for a while (and as for the watchlist challenge i'll probably just rejoin next year). last month was honestly probably just a fluke, september is definitely the busiest month for me in the whole year so i didn't really have much time to be watching movies, but i definitely wanna get back into it for these last 3 months of the year.

i also wanna start making more video essays on movies i'm passionate about, and already have some planned that i want to do in the late future. i might make a list of all of them and put it up publicly just so i can share my ideas with you all

and uhhhh yeah. i don't really know how to end this. i guess if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask me in the comments. i just wanted to take this moment to talk with you all personally since i feel like i haven't done that for a while and it was unfair of me to keep you all in the dark about where i've been.
